    Ah, the old duct-tape-and-rubber-string trick.

    Missed it by that much.

    test

A tachyon beam won't work. You see, the whole system is controlled by three primary main processing cores cross linked with a redundant melacortz ramistat and fourteen kiloquad interface modules. The core elements are based on FTL nanoprocessor units arranged into twenty-five bilateral kelilactirals with twenty of those units being slaved to the central heisenfram terminal. You would have to activate the isopalavial interface, which controls the main firomactal drive unit. That's because the ramistat kiloquad capacity is a function of the square root of the intermix ratio times the sum of the plasma injector quotient.

    Got it?
  3. Congrats on two wonderful pieces! The first one is definitely stunning.

Now I lay me down to rest.
I pray the Lord I'll pass that test.
And if I die before I wake,
That's one less test I'll have to take.

    +1 imo
  5. The Moggie's not monotone. She's got dark grey AND light grey!

    Sassy!!

Now that is teh hawt sweetness right there.

    *snatches Moggie's coat*

    She won't be needing this...
  7. So, has IMDB crashed yet?

I immediately recognized 5 and 18, of course, and I can guess at a few of the others, but mostly I'm stumped. I must be watching the wrong kind of movies.
  8. You got a problem with that?

yeah I would be slightly miffed if I got back a picture of Dragonberry redesigned as DragonBarry :P

    Don't give me ideas.
  10. Heh... minor detail, getting the gender wrong. Sounds like you handled the situation better than many of us would have.
  11. As I said on dA... that lollipop really creeps me out.
  12. Excellent! Very nice work, I especially like the coloring. I doubt I'd have noticed an extra bicep.

    Vampiresse (WIP)

Very nice. I'm sure the finished piece will be awesome.
  14. Very nice, congrats on an excellent piece.
  15. Here is my rendition of Pyrria's Mastermind, Commander Ivy.

This was a challenging and very educational piece for me. When Py said I could do an Ivy piece, I decided I wanted to include her mercenaries in it. There were three reasons for this: (1) I had never done a piece with more than 2 characters; (2) I had never done a piece with a male character; and (3) I had a bunch of army stuff that I wanted the chance to use.

Once I got the characters done and got the scene set up, though, Poser wouldn't render it due to memory limitations. So I had to render it in pieces and put the pieces together in post. Through this process, I learned a few new techniques in PSP that gave me much better control over the final result. So overall I learned a lot doing this one, which is one of the reasons I decided on a fairly ambitious scene.

Thanks to Pyrria for her patience and guidance in putting this together, and to ProfessorBlues for his comments and suggestions on the individual characters in my scraps folder.

Comments and constructive criticism are always welcome.
  16. In my view, this whole episode is just sad.
  17. I've found that dA is weird that way sometimes. While viewing the gallery, click the "Popular" link, it will show up. Or you can click here.

I'm not much of a critic, but I'd rate it higher than 5.5 out of 10.

[edit] At first I thought you had comments turned off for this piece, since I didn't have the option of adding a comment. Then up at the top, if I look closely, I can see: "deviantART is currently in read-only mode for system maintenance". Oh well, best intentions and all that.
  18. Nice! I like the implied motion in that sketch. Money well spent imo.
  19. Wow, that looks great! Poor Teddy.
  20. Ok, time for some deviantart n00b questions. What is a deviantID, what is it for and how is it used? And what's with all the "stamp" I see all over the place? Again, what are they for? Seems like the answer to both should be obvious, but I feel like I'm missing something.

    Larissa WIP

Looks good! I really like the costume, the pose and the expression. And as mentioned, the icicles look cool too.

The only things that jump out at me are: (1) somehow the forehead looks a little off -- it seems she's wearing a headband, but my first thought was that her forehead was poking through a hair prop. Maybe change the color of the headband to make that more distinct? And (2) the color of the bracers and boots seems a little too sky-blue, the color clashes a bit with the purple-blue of her skin. I would probably tweak the color of either the costume pieces or the skin to either make them more congruent or go for a more pleasing contrast.

But in general I like it a lot, and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished piece!
