Yeah and too bad it gets debuffed to hell along with it's other primary form of mitigation, regeneration.

Wow, hello collapsed star calling the kettle black.

By and large, you've gotten nothing but explanations about how and why things are like they are, and you not only refuse to even consider whether any of it might be valid, but you insult the people posting.

I'm not sure if I hope you never come back to this part of the forums again, or hope you do so we can have a spectacle.

Good luck with that. It seems none of the flaming /regen haters want to step up and defend their precious /wp set. Really, this debate has less backing then the /DA sucks debate. But for kicks, ill challenge you with my fire/fire

    [/ QUOTE ]

Regen is better than WP in pvp, but at this point pvp is VERY different than pve, ridiculously so imo. One of WP's best toggles, rttc, is rendered virtually useless by any mez attack. That alone creates a large gap in performance. What the devs did with pvp is... I can't think of a word that adequately describes how ridiculous it is, lol.

    [/ QUOTE ]

PvP and PvE aren't very different in Arena matches on the test server when you're fighting a fire/regeneration scrapper. Hint Hint

Santorican. I already stated above my opinion that this isn't a game about economy and market manipulation, it's a game about comic book super heroes that has an economy. I know there are some that only play the market and never run around doing missions, SFs, or other content, but they are the minority. Good for you that you made Billions of the market alone, but the majority of folks that spend more time actual playing thru content shouldn't have to pay the price becuase folks like you rather spend their time manipulating the market.

Playing the market is just one small aspect of a larger game. I'm not asking for instant gratification. All I'm saying is the Devs might wanna think about creating some boundries that stop a minority from greatly affecting the majority in a negative way. IMO setting a price cap and adjusting the drop rates is a good place to start.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I actually play the game thank you very much, I'm almost up to 400 badges on one of my long time characters.

As for manipulating the market? Not even close. I just work smarter not harder.

And if the developers wanted to have instituted communism/socialism in the game they would have but that would be along the lines of instant gratification and they want you to actually work hard for the best enhancements. I guess that is something that has been lost in today, the majority of people want their instant gratification and aren't willing to work hard for something great. I guess that is the root of this thread, and really should be locked because it has been turned into another complaining thread and really isn't benefiting anyone.
  17. I'm just doing some casual stuff, this is more of a PvE build with some PvP flavoring.

  19. Here is an update to my build, I dropped Scorch because I never really used it in favor of Confront. I have begun to do some PvP so it will be helpful with it's -75% range effect, it's set bonuses are a lot better then any other sets I could see and it is actually useful where as the other choices I had where Focused Accuracy with 5 slots would have given me less recharge and the other choice was Whirlwind, lol. Any who this is my build.

Even if it's only 5% of the community that can do that? You don't think it's in the best interest of the game to set some sort of limits that keep a higher percentage of people involved and interested in the market/IO game? I just think if the vast majority of players look at an IO they want and see it's going for 10x as much Inf than they have ever had, it's depressing and not good for the game.

What I read in that is instant gratification, people tend to forget that when you want the best you have to work hard for it, and these enhancements provide something for people to work hard for.

I started off broke and made myself into a billionaire, I don't play hours on end every day sometimes I don't even play for a day or two but I learned to use the market to teach myself how to make money, and the only argument that I have ever read against that is well not everyone wants to use the market to make money and my answer has always been well then you better start grinding now.

If you are presented a tool that can make you work 5 times faster doing 2 times less work wouldn't you use it? That is what the market is.
  22. I hope I helped some, when properly slotted regeneration is a demigod in PvP.

Shhhh Dark Armor does suck, there's nothing to see here
  24. There is a rule that is called the rule of 5, it says that you cannot have 5 of the same type of bonus. In your case you had 1 extra of a 5% recharge bonus that was going to waste.

Dull Pain not only boosts your maximum hit points but acts like a huge 800+ heal. It needs slots.

Also for future reference make sure to slot the Healing unique procs: Numina, Miracle, Regenerative Tissue, into an auto power so they will constantly fire off other wise if you slot it into a click it will only have a percentage to fire off whenever you click that.

In PvP no one has status protection so you'll also want to focus on status reduction bonuses.

Here is the build I came up with, good luck laddy!
