I used to get emails about related goings on occasionally before i9. Since then, I got one once but accidentally flagged it as spam before I realized what it was. Sorry to whoever I ignored, but I'm sure you've moved off my ignore list by now considering I've been cycling names off that list for about 7 months solid.

I have to agree with the general consensus. $10 is basically just enough to make it worthwhile for everyone who really wants it, but too much to make it so common that tech support is held down by complaints and requests from transfers gone wrong. The only thing missing is the ability to gift things like this (and super boosters, and more) to others, but allegedly the devs are working on something along those lines.

Besides, if you think $10 is a large amount, you need to find a better job. That's less than most cds or dvds, as well as less than many other games charge.

I'm not sure why people constantly cry, "moar respecs!" I've used maybe two total on my main, mostly due to powers I picked up later in my career proving so effective I wanted them at lower levels for TFs and other situations where I would be exemplared. However, in three years playing this game, I've built up quite a supply of spare respecs (currently 5 including vet and freespecs), and typically don't see a need for them. I've got my build, I'm happy with it, and if I changed it up now it would only mess up my play style.

But, if you really need more of these things all the time, enjoy the game in your own way.

I'm not exactly sure what civilian officers use, but according to military use of force protocol, the officer in question would have had to at least attempt to use verbal and soft controls before moving to hard controls (pepper spray) or, heaven forbid, intermediate weapons (tazer). Also, after the hospital staff confirmed the story, he could easily have authorized for hospital security to maintain custody while Mr. & Mrs. Moats took the time to see her mother and write the ticket in the mean time. PPR's exist for unkown situations, and the entire scenario was quite clear pretty quickly. Remember that the police are there to protect and serve, not to harass and detain.

I heard about that story on the way to work this morning over the radio... I agree completely with what his wife did, and that cop can just try and shoot me for resisting. I'm already at the hospital, maybe we could share a room!

But really, I see a civil suit in this police force's future.

I still have an assortment of Euro coins up to 2€ sitting around from deployment... not to mention Seychelleian(SP?) rupees, Bahraini Dinars, and various other coins and bills. Honestly, foreign money is one of the more irritating parts of the Navy.

That said, I still doubt dollar coins will catch on well in the US. I mean, strippers don't really like coins, and most of them really aren't worth a fiver.

And here I was thinking the price of gas had gone down...

This sort of free communication really makes it feel like our concerns are heard and appreciated and that we're not just giving you job security. There's lots of people here that have real interest in keeping this game alive and growing, and it says a lot that you're willing to take our feedback and work it into making a great product even better.

As a matter of fact, just this sort of thing happened about two years ago in Florida, I believe. Someone trespassing into a backyard protected by chain link fence and warning signs was attacked by the family dog. Last I had heard, the court ordered the dog put down, but the family was fighting it.
