Oh, I'm aware of all the options. If anything else, I'll just pay the $10 to move the toon here. But it was worth checking to see if there was anyone who was making a move to Freedom. But I'm guessing anyone who'd want to move there, wouldn't be coming to the Protector forums.

Hey all! I'm going to be in need of a blue side inf. transfer. The influence is in Freedom and I need to move it to Protector. Seeing as how more often than not, people are trying to move the otehr way, I thought I might have a decent shot finding somene who could help out. I'd pay for a server move, but I thought I'd try here first.
The amount will be quite substantial, so if you have a good reputation for honesty that would help. I'll be moving 400 million, so it would help make a good new start on another server. My home is Protector though, so that's why I'd prefer to have it here. Thanks in advance for those who can help! -

Unfortunately, I know nothing of PVP, and won't be the best source person for that, I think you should allow someone else the chance to win as well in that department. I'd do it, but you'd probably get something non-functional for PVP.
I just want to say that all the crazy builds that showed up really impressed me. And I hope ChosenOne does another contest just so I can see what comes out.

No, Icicles does not need recharge. But, defense bonuses from those sets don't give me an option on a lot of endurance. But, with EA slotted for full recharge, that should be ok. Also, defense in EA is da bomb! In a full group that's another 9%!! Who'd pass that up? And you can double stack it to 18% easily.
Did 5 Dr'd Wounds for the recharge, and the recharge bonus. Took the extra slot and put it in Haymaker for more Acc/Dam.

Ok, well, for solo you'll need a decent selection of attacks. Hurl should NOT be one of them. For team, you want at least two aggro araus if you don't go taunt. So I'm tweaking my last build to give you those things. CoF in place of CP, but you have 3.21 recovery (1.99 net gain) and with accolades that's 3.53 recovery (2.31 net gain). Your resist are slightly lower, but with capped defense you'll still be laughing it off maniacally. DR still has decent end reduction.

A friend of mine asked for me to come up with a build that would cap S/L/E/N damage for him on his Ice/SS, while giving him a strong damage build for his solo play. His budget is what I would describe as decent, probably around 100 to 125 million, could be a little more. Keeping that in mind, I did my best to keep the build affordable (so long as he's patient).
Here, I've been able to put him above the soft-cap for those damage types without needing CJ. Any suggestions on slotting for better results is welcome. Just keep in mind that he probably won't be buying purples for this. Thanks in advance!
P.S. A perma-rage would be good to have as well so that the defense crash can be avoided.

Chosen, could you be a little more specific about what you like in it? Looking at the totals, it's got slightly less end recovery than your last top pick from Reask, and without the relief of CP. Some top runners have more aggro auras, some have more attacks and damage. Some have poor end reduction on DR (which seems to go against your end management desires) some have better end reduction. It's becoming confusing. . . -

Would it be a pretty good chance because they're are so few who find it necessary for the tank to do so? If a player needs taunt to tank well, there's nothing wrong with that. When a player figures a way out where taunt isn't necessary, there's nothing wrong with that either.

No, elsewhere you got bent out of shape because someone considered Kins lazy if they weren't putting SB out all the time. Now you're calling Tanks bad players if they don't take and use taunt. You're insight is incredibly enlightening, you should post about it in the Tanker forums. I'm sure you'll find no complaints and well reasoned arguments against the idea. You'd certainly prove me wrong if everyone agreed.

I've been on countless teams with bad players too. Of all ATs. It was hardly ever about power choice, but about playstyle. As mentioned previously about the use of KB powers and other team synergy tactics. -

I'd recommend dropping a slot from Cloak of Darkness, and 3 slotting LotG (Def, Def/End, Def/+Recharge) or taking one from Jab, and moving it to hover and putting a LotG Def/+Recharge IO in the new slot. This would give you perma-rage which is currently missing. (you can also put Impervium Armor in Obsidian Shield for a tad more endurance recovery)
I have this strange feeling the builds are reaching a convergence and there'll only be minor tweaks in small areas to pick up a different power (like Punch, CoF, OG) and the moving of 1-2 slots to pick up a touch more recovery/end reduction in powers. Yup. I had the LotG added, but good call on Impervium. Made the switch on that. Thanks! And yeah, the builds are bleeding together a lot. I think it's learning more about Chosen's playstyle than anything else. I was building off the assumption of multiple aggro auras being needed. Seeing as it's not crucial, I figured Punch would be a better addition.

Pep Rally is right, DR needed a little more end reduction. Even with accolades, 25 out of 115 (21%) can be a lot. But, 20 out of 110 (18%), is less by comparison. It all adds up in the long run.
Another major issue was the lack of Punch. Jab and Boxing are nice, but compared to Punch they're weaksauce. And since you're not worried about OG and CoF, I dropped them out. Taunt got replaced, and you have a decent attack selection to use.
PVP IO, of course. 3.14 recover (3.45 with accolades)

Wait a second. Haven't you stated before that you hate tanker's attitudes of being too full of themselves. That they shouldn't complain if Kinetic players don't spam SB. Now, you're going to use an outdated guide to support something you blasted someone else for doing.
You saying that Taunt is necessary to play a tanker right, is the same as saying a Kinetics has to take SB to be played right. Not all tanks need Taunt, hence, its place as a secondary power. I have many tanks who have no problem maintaining the aggro cap without Taunt. I've managed aggro for plenty of teams without it without a complaint. Obviously it's not needed. -
Actually, you don't get the penalty if it's up again before the crash. And since soft-capping is critical, so is a Perma-Rage.
FYI Nihili, you left out a spot for your PVP IO.
Tweaking my 3rd build to allow for perma-rage. DR's slotting will be limited, but with all the accuracy buffs, you can do well with just End/Rech/Heal enhancement. You can still have two aggro aura's to justify no Taunt, and still have a recovery of 2.7 (2.97 with accolades).

Your "Big Picture" is not everyone else's. Some people have different ideas of how teams should work. Maybe if you stopped to ask their opinion of how the team would better work out, you'd find out if their as selfish as you think.
You see, some tanks don't need to use taunt. Not with they have more than one aggro aura, and use gauntlet to their advantage. By using that power option for something else, they may be able to do even more for the team. But you're more worried about them pulling aggro for YOU, so why would you care about that?
And advising people to kick non-team players? Just because they don't use powers you prefer them to? Isn't the idea of kicking others for such reasons something you admonished someone in another thread for? [found here] Yet you now consider that an option?
Just accept that others' ideas on how a team should play out, may not always be like your own. This is why a friendlist/SG/VG can be a good thing. It allows you to keep your prefered playstyle with like-minded people.
To the OP:
The people you were playing with are missing out. You're right, grab a bunch of Grant Cover users and as long as those users stay close, insane hijinx will ensue. I run two Shield/ tanks at the same time, who both use GC. The two of them alone can handle crazy situations, while also granting nearby squishies plenty of added help.
But don't be too hard on them. The power is pretty situational, and if you have a hard time finding teams you like, it can be easily wasted as a power choice. My suggestion, find some friends you play with a lot, and convince them of the awe of running an all /Shields scrapper team. You won't regret it. -

For starters, there's no one place for any AT. You're basically displaying the same attitude you seemed to loath in that other thread. Stop labelling a whole AT for individual players. It never makes you look good.
Second; Calling tankers over-powered is a stretch. Calling it the most over-powered, is worse. Any AT out there has the potential to become overpowered. Fire/Kins and Perma-Doms come to mind. Tanker resistance is just fine, just like it's damage is. If you're going to call it over-powered, you're going to need to back that up with some numbers, and not just you basic bias toward tanker players. -
PVP IO, 2 +end procs, and 2.7end/sec with accolades. Max end at 113%, making the amount of end each power uses even less.

Don't forget though, guys, that Foot Stomp won't work with hover on. So you lose time in toggle management to work the power into your fights. Best not to rely on it for the soft-cap, IMO. Some crazy builds coming out of the woodworks though. Great job!

This uses the PVP IO, but you can cap positional defenses. Also, click on hover to go a little more (though I doubt you would). Fly/Hover is a weird route, I know, but you don't have to run them to keep up the defense. Well. . . you could run Hover to go above the cap I guess. (Still assuming you get all the accolades)
edit: Yikes! Looks like some others have thought of similar routes!! That'll teach me to not hit refresh!

Ok, keeping those things in mind as much as possible, here goes:
This build assumes you'll be getting the 4 main accolades (Atlas, PJ, TFC and FPR). If you get those, you can add a lot, and I mean A LOT, to your endurance management and overall survival. Here we have nearly soft-capped S/L defense (.6% away), high defense for E/N and pretty good F/C defense with a dash thrown in for Psi. Keeping in mind how much resistance you get, and that's an insane amount of mitigation. All attacks have at minimum 41% end disc, as with all armors. The only exception is Foot Stomp, because of set bonus needs.
End recovery is at 3.06 end/sec. I have a DA/Ice who currently has 3.5ish end/sec (and it gimps her damage output by a lot for that build), and I can tell you, you'll still need to manage yourself to an extent. But not nearly as bad as you would without it.

LOL, I came up with a *very* similar build when I sat down to IO it out; got the defense totals a little higher. See below. BTW, was the switch from Op Gloom to Cloak of Fear intentional? Both have their uses, but IMO OG is a better choice for someone with endurance problems since it costs almost no endurance. Another option is to swap out Char for something else--I think I'd be tempted to go with Hasten, but CJ would also be a good choice.

D'oh! Forgot the 3% Def IO! Nice build, though there's less endurance enhancement ;p.
I went CoF for a couple of reasons. One was the ability to 3 slot for a def. bonus, the other was preference over OG. CoF doesn't cause them to walk away as much as OG does. That's just personal style though. And yeah, you could dump Char for Conserve Energy too. With all the endurance enhancement and extra +max end, you should be good to go between CE activations. -
Here's the same build with IO slotting, to show you how you can really take this combo to great lengths. You'd be sporting 30ish defense to S/L/E/N on top of your resist, which will be like carrying a pocket Bubbler with you. On top of that, Dark Regen is well slotted for Health, Rech, End and Accuracy. All attacks have fair amounts of endurance reduction (and the toggles). I wouldn't give up on the Dark/Fire, it still has a lot of potential.
