Bane Spiders were chosen from the Wolf Spider ranks for having the right ideology as well as being psychically gifted.
Part of the Bane Spider indoctrination is forcing them to psychically bond with the other Bane Spiders, thus forming them into not only an unquestioning group mind, but also a fighting force that can act and react quickly as each Bane will know what the others are doing/planning to do. -
He lived a long a full life.
Here's to keeping 'em laughing, Mr. Nielsen.

Overall, I enjoyed the show quite a bit, despite the whole irksome Kid Flash and Robin ID business.
The delivery of some of the lines was a little stilted, but I can only imagine that'll disappear as the actors get used to their roles and gain rapport with their colleagues.
LOVED some of the expressions. For example, that kind of forced smiled Kid Flash shoots Aqualad when they decide to go to Cadmus was hilarious for some reason.
On the other hand... whoa. Wally is now Jimmy Olsen? -
Quote:We should honor those brave few who so valiantly seize defeat from the jaws of victory. If Defenders or Controllers would simply die more often or fail to level quickly for a couple of years, they'd probably get a health buff also. But they are simply too stubborn to do what is necessary for the good of the archetype. Its sad, really, that the few have to suffer just because of the competency of the many.

What Bill said. It doesn't matter if the character can mow down so many foes per second or whatever if you don't like playing it.
Find a combo you like, stick with it, get on some good teams and you'll be 50 before you know it.
And for the record, my first 50 was a TA/A Defender back in Issue 6 or 7. -
Gah...
Half of me is going Grr over this (as most of you probably know why), but the other half can't wait to see it!
Can't wait! -

I think the reason nobody mentioned Pain Dom is twofold:
1) It's rather new (compared to all the others at least) and gets lost in the mix.
2) On the only AT that it can be paired with Energy Blast it's a bit lackluster.
I'm sure it could work, especially when combined with EB's inherent mitigation, but there are other sets that could provide more for the user. YMMV, of course. -
FF, Kinetics and Traps would be the best matches, IMO.
FF shares Energy's theme of knocking things around with Force Bolt and Repulsion Bomb and shares a little bit of the visual appearance.
Kinetics fits well because it doesn't require any specific target to stay put (like Rad and Dark do with their toggles) or even remain in a certain spot (like Cold and Trick Arrow do with their location debuffs). The only trouble you might have is getting off a good Transfusion/Transference, but a well timed pick up after using Power Push should solve that. Plus Energy Blast provides a good deal of mitigation that Kinetics needs since it's rather sparse of that on its own.
Traps would also be decent since it can work around EB's knocks. Most of its more important debuffs are "sticky" so it doesn't matter where the foes go after affected. -

Quote:This.Whoever wrote that didn't really sound like a "schmoe" with respect to things CoH. It didn't even sound like someone who simply researched it, unless they did a really good job. That sounded to me more like someone who has followed the game - they had a good grasp of its background and current state of affairs. Their questions were more germane in a lot of ways than many of the ones we see from gaming sites.
You really think some "schmoe" would know about the IDF costume which wasn't announced via "official" channels? -

Quote:Fixed for correctness' sake. There was a separate Incarnate GUI Window in which the recipes for crafting components and Boosts lived and in which you can slot your Alpha Slot and in which your Alpha Boosts were stored for swapping or for storing so as to maek stuff.

313 damage?
Chance for a MAG 4 HOLD!
Holy crap, that thing looks really powerful. -
Quote:Assuming the Musculature Core Paragon (which provides 45% DMG, instead of the 33% of the M.Radial Paragon)...So just for example how much damage would Scrapper Smite do with 3 SOs plus the Musculature top tier damage enhancement?
Scrapper Smite at 50 does 90.8 DMG base.
3 SOs = 99.9 pre-ED/94.98 post-ED
2/3rds of the Core Paragon ignores ED.
45 x 2/3 = 30
ED calculation: 95 + (0.15 × (E - 100))
(95 + (0.15 x ((99.9 + 15) - 100))) + 30
(95 + (0.15 x (114.9 - 100))) + 30
(95 + (0.15 x 14.9)) +30
(95 + 2.235) + 30
97.235 + 30
127.235
This boosts Smite up to doing 206.33 damage. Which is about 30 points (29.23) of damage more than just 3 SOs. -
Snow was briefly leaked a while back. It was (probably) originally intended to be part of the Origins pack. After the leak, and much clamoring, it was decided that it and the Fireflies aura would be made available to all in Issue 19.
Those who did pick it up during the short window when it was made available were allowed to keep it on.
So if you want to put it on any other alts, you'll need to wait a week for 19 to go Live. -
Quote:Fulcrum Shift comes in two parts:There's no hit-roll in the combat log, not even when I turn on Pet Hit-Rolls.
I know it can take accuracy enhancements, but so does Taunt, but it only misses in PvP.
So can Fulcrum Shift miss in PvE?
1) The buff centered on the caster. This cannot miss and will always fire off.
2) The (de)buffs centered on the targets. This can miss and when it does, that particular foe won't be debuffed and the extra buff from it won't be cast. -
Quote:I've seen some of it. It's hilariously bad. Musashi Gundoh is the Plan 9 of anime.
Now, I want you to think about something else here too... usually, a lot of a show's budget goes into it's title sequence to make it as fluid and nice as possible to sort of make the show look better than it really is...
Just how terrible is the actual show if that's the best they could do for the intro? -

Quote:Let's find out!Really? Your ears bled from that? It was that awful? I shudder to think of how you'll react when you hear something that actually is awful enough to warrant that kind of reaction.
On the Avenger's OP... eh, I've heard better and worse. Not really something I'd write home about. But the show (from the little promos that were put out a while back) seemed interesting. -
I think the biggest question I have on this is when did Tim turn into Spanky from the Little Rascals?
Either that or did Big Boy finally stop with the coffee shops and invest heavily in Wayne Enterprises? -
Quote:I love how you manage to make everything look bad.All that, plus the stuff with the defense turrets and untility machines point to a more fleshed out, realized world than the one we got. I look at the Praetorian vehicle concepts and then I look at the cars in GR that are just the same ones straight from CoH. Truly pathetic bar-lowering. I feel like I've glimpsed what Going Rogue should have been; an expansion that was equal to City of Villains in scope and one that truly 'took the game to the next level'. Instead I feel like we got a rushed, underfunded, overhyped shell that really wasn't worth waiting for. Now Going Rogue feels like an ultra low budget Asylum direct-to-DVD feature based on the discarded screenplay for a brilliant film that will never be produced.
