Wow! Those robots are cool! I like Soldier, KatanaBot, and Frontview Robot the best!!! I've never been good at robots.

Spacefaring Robot has a wierd pose, I think...or is that because he is in space?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks a ton. Those aren't official names or nothin', by the way, I was just trying to think of something to call 'em other than "Robot 1", "Robot 2", et cetera.

Rob those are great... it's obvious you really like robots, and I meant to say earliar I like the action of the gun blasts in the earliar piece. After I finish "Rox", your toon is next.

Thank you very much. I focused a lot on them when I was really in to drawing (more than people, which is probably why I'm lousy at 'em), but as you can see, there is a LOT of redundancy in the designs. I have made some variations since then, though, so maybe I'll scan those next time I'm as school.

I can't wait to see it, LJ! I know it'll rock.

Thank you so much! That's awesome.

Man, you guys and your eyes for shading.

    Thank you very much.
  3. Beautiful.

All you see is a cloak, and yet there is still so much there.

    Awesome stuff.

Here are some of my older drawings (I had a lot of fun with that scanner at school). Mostly robots, because that was all I was good at back then.

Sorry for the graphite fuzz, mediocre scans, and lousy paper quality. Also, everything is big.

    Spacefaring Robot
    Katanabot
    Front-view Robot
Darkity Dark Dark Robot (anyone get the reference?)
    Soldier

    Thanks.

    Hi all!

That's my favorite one as well.

Awesome job. Looks like the start of something good!

    Thanks.

Honestly, that's what I was trying to do with the larger version, but I find that when I try to copy my own work, it doesn't come out as natural, and thus not as good (as can be seen in the result).

Perhaps I'll work on it again.
  8. Awesome.

Very clean and professional. I look forward to more.

    Drawings

Since highschool, I haven't done a whole lot of drawing.

Recently, I've taken it up again. I'd really like to hear what you think.

I was inspired by a CoH (or CoV, in this case) character that I made upon the release of Issue 7. His name is Life and Death.

    For reference:

    Full-body.
    Close-up.
    Dramatic!

In any case, here are the drawings...

    (Warning: pictures are gigantic.)

...I'll start with his head. This is probably the best drawing of a head that I've done; I'm lousy at drawing faces, but I found that the best way to do it is to simply look at a face and draw what you see.

I have no eye for shading. None. Zero.

The next drawing was originally done very small on the back of a gift certificate as I waited in a store for my phone to be fixed; I actually taped the original (which I think came out a lot better; truer to my style, and a little more action-packed) to it for reference.

Here it is. As you can see, no shading, no face, somewhat "stylized" (I feel that term is sometimes just a way to avoid having to draw realistically; I don't like using it because I actually wanna' be a better artist!), and while I don't think it's as cool as the original (here is the full version, in the top-left corner; I wish I knew how to work that scanner better), I think it came out halfway-decent, at least as far as my drawings go.

There is vast room for improvement. Any feedback that you guys could provide would be awesome!

    Thank you very much.
  10. Incredible. I love things like this.

It absolutely radiates: "I may be an old dog, but I've still got a few tricks."

I don't know if that's what you were going for, but in any case, the piece is amazing.
  11. True enough. Still, he's not seaweed.

That's a cool and very unusual character <o.@> Plantman with guns in a business suit... I'd never have guessed.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Thanks. ^^;

Originally, he was going to be a minionless Pistols mastermind, but Pistols alone are really lousy (very little damage, slow recharge, HUGE Endurance drain), and since MMs and Corruptors have the same /Dark for a secondary, he ended up with an Assault Rifle.

He looks cooler with the pistols, though.

(He wears a nice shirt and tie and slacks 'cuz that's what professional humans seem to do.)

Personality-wise, he's quiet and unusual. He hasn't been here for very long, and so he's still getting use to things. He's "not from around here"; extraplanar, a creature of pseudo-cosmic magic of some sort.

Not just any plant. To me, it looks like seaweed.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well, he is standing on a beach... I'm not sure that he's seaweed, though. XD
  13. This art is really cool.

If it'd be of no great inconvenience to you, is there any chance you could draw Life and Death?

    Close-up.
    Dramatic!

Thank you very much, and good luck with your art! *thumbsup*
  14. Loud Lightning.

There's also a neat shot of him in my signature.
  15. That's exactly the kinda' stuff I wish I could draw. Awesome awesome awesome.

Thanks again for the Mega, by the way. It rocks!

Also, if you are indeed taking requests, may I be so tactless as to ask you to, if you have the time, draw Loud Lightning?

Either way, thank you, and keep being wicked cool.
