thanks for the feedback twilight
the build looks good and as u said it hits the softcap
the only thing it seems it might struggle on end if in a prolonged fight but still a gud build none the less and one im gonna try my hand at -
thanks for the feedback narok yea id have to agree with that as well but when i was slotting siphon life i couldnt find a way to improve defense so i thought of getting some regen becasue there was nothing else
also i think i can lose a slot in AAO as well and jus stick two end redux in there -
oh and any powers that aint slotted are only because i couldnt find a set to boost defense

need help on this build and im pretty sure i got all the slotting wrong but im trying to hit the softcap for all 3 positions and so far this is the best ive come up.....
the power choices are not required as i have picked them and other power picks instead of others would be acceptable apart from obvious picks such as MG and SC although id like to retain fly if possible but if not no big loss
im also gonna point out that my budget isnt unlimited lol so things like purples and pvp are probably out of my range although i do have about 1 billion to spend on this give or take a couple hundred mill

This makes DM/SD brutes do less damage than DM/SD scrappers unless they have the best attack chain(which is more end consuming) and maxed fury, assuming full AAO+Soul Drain saturation.
Yea I've been reading that a lot about the damage and to be honest I'm quite happy with the damage a brute puts out. However saying that I haven't levelled a scrapper to high levels my highest being 16 on a BS/SD I am currently working on. Saying that though I think a brute would suit my playstyle better as I like to rush in without a second thought and start pounding things - a shoot first ask questions later thing lol.... I dunno I may come up with a build for both in mids and see what I like -

Always wanted a dark melee toon I think the set as a whole is fantastic and even though I had paired it with DA in my early CoV days I never really connected with it (due to the fact I was inexperienced and didn't even kno what io sets were) but now I want to bring it back but this time paired with SD to make up for the obvious lack of aoe..
So my question really is whether it is a scrapper or brute makes a huge difference?? I've been lookin around the forums and to me there's not that much to choose between them
Also since I'm askin questions how much would a good build for this set up likely to cost me?? -

Ive been working on this build now for quite sometime and ive think ive finished it. Of course i would like to put purples in there somewhere but i doubt 300mil inf can do that so until that time comes i think this should suffice. Anyway all advice and critique is welcome.
p.s i mainly use it to try and gain purples but it does pretty well on sf's as well.

this is the build ive come up with.
A few things to note and first of is that this was designed using suckerpunches online builder and not mids because for some reason my laptop wont install it. second in rage there is meant to be a set of 3 gaussians and a recharge io. suckerpunches wouldn't let me add in the gaussian set. also i am aiming to replace devastation in gloom for 5 set apocolypse but that probably wont happen for some time.

A lot of people seem to be having trouble with this. I logged on to ncsoft and it says my total paid time is 7 months but my veteran rewards time is stated as 9 months so surely i should of got the 9 months badge and the perks that come with it or am i wrong?? -

I dont know why it stood out just needed someone to bring me back down to earth as I am new to stalkers. On brutes it seems to be the set that no-one picks and I as just wondering if the same applies to stalkers. -
Been looking to build a new stalker with BS as a primary and I was looking at the secondary and defenses and nrg seems to stand out especially with typed defenses and energy saving powers
Maybe i'm missing something but is there something im missing? is this not a good combo? -
Fire/Fire lv50 - second brute after i scrapped my dark/dark. It is a tad squishy but the AoE damage is ridicolous. Fiery embrace + Build up + Ball lightning + Electrifying fences + burn + fire sword circle + Blazing aura = AoE Damage madness. People may disagree but this is the king of aoe.
SS/WP lv24 - originally a SS/INV but i rerolled as wp. was gettin on my nerves in the mid teens and now i havent looked back and i can see why this combo is so popular.
DM/SR lv15 - can sense the survivability potential all over this guy and i cant wait to get him to level 50
Elec/SD lv34 - meh nice but the lack of ST damage really bugs me and i dont think ill bother but LR has best animation by far!! if only there was a decent ST attack instead of something like thunder clap (devs take notice lol). -

thanks for the replies guys
i have decided to go with ss/inv mainly for conceptual reasons (trying to build a reichsman/m.bison sort of guy) and so far he seems pretty good at level 11. i know i should of gone ss/wp because of my poor inf situation and that to make a good inv build would require kinetic combats which is ridicolously expensive redside but im known for being a rebel -

well i guess im not the richest guy in so i bare have any inf i mostly really on selling recipes and ios i get from missions so its the luck of the draw really that being said i guess it would depend on the cheaper option to get the most of it i.e. which one would cost the less to get a solid build out of?
ps. i did look into ss/sd as well but im already messing around with elec/sd but im sort of on and off with it right now -

looking to form a new brute and i've been looking at something to pair ss. aint had one yet and seeing them around all the time makes me want one. mostly gonna use it as my badge brute so soloing mainly and the ocasional sf here and there.

looking around at io sets it is very clear that there is literally no io bonuses for resistance so with that being said i think ill begin to focus on defense and then regen.
my toon has reached level 50 now and ive been sort of mimicking a build posted on here (which i think was by Tonality in response to someone asking for a build) if i manage to find the thread again i will copy and paste it here

Hi guys
currently working on a fire/fire brute and im wondering what would be the best way to reach s/l cap without sacrificing too much.
He is level 40 and has both fire shield and tough but im only makin 53% with SO's.
I dont have mids currently otherwise i would try and draw up the build.
any advice is welcome
