    I want to stess this:

We are NOT working on a Greek mythology game. Or an ancient history game. Just want to kill that rumour!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Admit it, it's a Teletubby MMOG, isn't it?

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Runs away screaming from the concept*

You know now that I've seen that idea I'm going to have to poke my eyes out
  3. I remember the first time I saw one of those 'pumpkin-thingys'. I recall it was the Halloween of Ought-Four. I was standing on a building in Steel with my scrapper...saw it below me (looking small) and jumped down in front of it...and had to keep craning scrappys view higher and higher just to see it's head...and I destinctly remmber thinking :this cant be good" before the monster thumped me across two roadways.

I remember months later, when another character joined a team to help out fighting Winter-lord, and about 5 more spawned on exactly the same spot one after the other about 2 minutes before we finally killed its predecessor.

I remember seeing my first Kheldian in Perez playing helicopter gunship and thinking "Wow"

I remember finally getting into the Rikti Crash site after the long boring travel through Creys

I remember spending 2 hours designing a costume for a BS/DA scrapper, and then being horrified at how hard it was to see anyting through DA

I remember my D3 and her three Fluffy freinds that made her a 1-girl assult team

    'Sniff'...those were the days

We will probably slip in some NPCs who can buyback Enhancements at somepoint, but the trainer issue is a little more difficult from a technical standpoint.

Add arbiter uh...Paul to the villain's side, make war witch the hero trainer
    i think that'd work?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think the issue is this.
From a "concept" point of view, there would "have to" be one Hero trainer and one Villain trainer (Security and Threat levels are "story-wise" "faction dependant", can't very well have a "neutral" trainer giving both). So there would have to be one Hero trainer and one Villain trainer. That would be very well unless for one thing.
Trainers currently don't care what faction you are a member of.
Walk a villain up to Ms Liberty, and she'll gladly train you. (A couple of my villains were trained by Ms Liberty in Beta)
Currently they avoid that issue by not allowing villains to enter areas where hero trainers are placed (and the other way around).
If there was a hero trainer and a villain trainer in the same area on the other hand...

    [/ QUOTE ]

So how about puting the trainers in the foyers...villains can't go down the hero lift and hero's can't go down the villain lift but according to the map, they are still in-zone...that way each trainer would know they were getting the right games toons?

Do not send an invite to anyone if you are not going to talk to them at all or select any missions. They sent me 2 blind invites, then I accepted the second invite and for 20 min. they did not say one word, select a mission or invite anyone else (even after repeated greetings and questions from me). They just stood in the same place on the map (in the street).

(sorry just had to say it)
  6. Do not say "oooh shiny" and walk up to touch the shadow cyst while the two Kheldians in your team are screaming "RUN" and holding an impromtu 100 yard dash back to the elevator.
(yes it was a bad day)
  7. Great guide BN!
It's up to the benchmak you set with your first dark/dark guide.

Heres my current build, which is a bit different. It isn't the most powerful D3, or the best, it's just the one I have the most fun with and don't die too often

A bit of explanation is in order.

Superspeed and hurdle were powers I picked up from pools I already have..I could have taken two leader powers, but I wanted powers that I wouldn't be slotting up.

No Blackstar - Tried it in I4...meh...It needs 6 slots to be worth it and even then, I hate the idea of using 6 slots for a power I was only using as a panic button. My final conclusion...defender nukes just don't ring my bell.

No Moonbeam..actually dropped this power at level 33 and havn't looked back. Damage was nice but it seriously dropped the bottom out of my attack chain.

No Teleport...dropped this along with Moonbeam - recall friend was super-useful back when fluffy couldn't figure out elevator buttons, now, just not handy.

Power Mastery power pool - Okie...could've slotted Buildup and conserve power better..really wanted to 6 slot total focus to get it up to obscene damage levels and 6 slotting temp Inviln was a no-brainer.

Fearsome Stare...love the power and wanted it back..admittedly 5 slots may be considered going too far..just couldn't not do it.

Petrifying Gaze - has become a catch-breath power (along with FS), I mainly use it to take someone out of the fight for a small spell while I either clean up or get it together by swallowing Enhancers

    Tactics
Fearsome stare stacks nicely, tar patch stacks a little. basically throw them both, and start spamming TT and Nightfall.

Use Darkest night for the big bad guys (and for bonus points, do /em newspaper for about a minute aferwards) and then lay buildup/total focus on them.

Conserve power is situational when end is getting low.

Fluffy gets to play a lot with the minions who with fluffy and
fearsome stare find their to-hit dropping though the floor .

    Hope someone finds this useful

  8. Excellent Guide
One thing...I've actually seen group TP in use.
It was a Dard/Dark who basically teleported just into range with his fluffies and the fluffies automatically attacked what he had targetted. Pretty cool..don't do it myself because after being a teleporter for about 30 levels I decided I was sick of all the work involved.
  9. Happy Anniversary to the Devs in thier various capacities whoe efforts have made this one of the finest MMORPG's I've ever seen
