I'm on the road again this week and I'm getting dog performance from the game. I was told in the past that this client needed 10Kbps to function correctly.
I bought a Verizon 4G card with a bandwidth measurement usage monitor a few months ago, I tested it with the CoX Client and in an evening (7-10pm), I used up 100MB. I'm in hotel with 384KB wired and it's dragging through the loads. I can't reach objectives to send the team to the next mish without it stalling/crashing.
Also, over the past few months, the game client on ocassions appears haunted. I can't see teammates on maps for short periods, I can't dismiss my pets/call unless I zone., etc. I believe these experiences have been directly relate to bandwidth I was given at the time I was playing.
I need an expert opinion about the game client requirements. -

Initially, I thought it was like this:
-EU servers come/move under the NA domain...this is how we will use only 1 client, right? The EU client goes away.

I just find it hard to believe that NCSOFT is going to do all new software engineering to make this all work. I base this comment on the game. They reuse where ever they can. To do a true integration this will be a lot of work. I look forward to hearing about the techinical details. -
1. For EU members, there is a signup in UK GBP or EU Euros. I'm in the US and I get a bill on my credit card monthly for $19.60(currency conversion and bank fees) for my monthly account. Will I be able to change my billing back/be given an option for USD after the merger?
2. Will I be able to apply NA codes to my remergered EU account? -
I notice this on weekends.

I've done it twice. last weekend and the previous one with zero escapes...it can be done! We did on last weekend with no lag.

Probably. Although I suspect most people who have excess billions store it as market bids. I tend to place stacks of 10 bids at 200,000,000 each on gladiator's armor globals. They won't fill and it stores 2billion in one market slot with no change of bids combining.

Honestly, I think your going to have to either copy the old coh directories from your old computer and then install the updater to see them or install a fresh EU copy and THEN install the updater. Personally, I have not tried to install the EU client from the Updater but only updated it.

Are you running the EU client from the desktop icon or the launcher? Are you getting this? It should be just click to play.

What the heck websites are you visiting that you're actively being sought out for hacking? No, don't answer that, it was rhetorical and was supposed to remind you of safe browsing. I have literally never been hacked (either my computers themselves or any of my online endeavors, including games, forums, etc.), after having been online since 1995. It sounds more like you need better personal habits than an organized file system.

I'm willing to do any strategy. The team leader makes the final say so. I have done the way you mentioned with success so I'm cool with either way. I'm just say that with 8 member per gate that's plenty of fire power to kill them based on 3 hits/connects for a kill.
The lag is an issue to consider but this TF runs during a time where this shouldn't be a problem. If this was late at night I would be concerned. Again either way is cool for me. We're talking about this now before Saturday so I'm thrilled were sorting this out now than "figuring" it out on Saturday in the realtime. -

Your funny Aggelakis, thieves don't "get" access, they hack in and steal while your computer is online/connected. I had 2 hacks in the last 6 months. One guy looked at a few files and left. The other left something which I removed later.
These hacks came through a Mcafee/MFE, Cisco, Juniper Security Infrastructure. -
This is just comments about the BAF, there are only 3 exits, just have a team cover the exits not the entrances. I think it will be easier that way. It can be done either way but more effort is required when you cover the entrances.

I've been trying to teach people around my workplace to stop storing thousands of files on their desktop and instead, you know, file them in appropriate folders and instead put links to them on the desktop. It never works. Doesn't help that Firefox likes to save things to the Desktop unless you tell it otherwise.

It doesn't mean "laptop built with desktop components". It's still built using the LV mobile varieties of processor, memory, video, etc and is not in the same class as a workstation built with the desktop versions of the equivalent model numbers.
The old classifications of:
Desktop: Low-end CPU and a little RAM
Workstation: More powerful CPU and more RAM
Server: High-end CPU and lots of RAM
They don't hold up much anymore. Even low-end machines are phenomenally powerful nowadays and most of the difference is in how they're used rather than a specific component list. -
Graphics cards are everything today. Everything else on a computer is sufficient today to run CoH. Good luck with your decision. Also, it's not a laptop but a mobile workstation. Understand the difference?

If his old computer is still active, he can just copy over the City of Heroes file folder but make sure you rename "City of Heroes EU"
Also, there are plans to move the EU under NA shortly. The client may not be available for new customers now.
