2,000,000,000 is the character limit.

True, but thanks to WW and e-mails you can easily access and transfer way more than just 2 billion.

ok..but you can't claim them. 2.7 billion is useless to all characters in a lump sum. Can you even put that into a gleemail?

The general method is this: Send 2 e-mails each with a billion inf attached, then send another e-mail with the remainder. Say, 700 mil. No, you can't claim all of those e-mails right away on one character, but you could claim it with two or more. You could also store the inf in the e-mails. Or you could claim just 1-2 of the e-mails, place a bid on WW that will never fill, and then claim the rest.

For example... Using both of those methods, I've got a character with double digit billions; I just claim what I need as I run low on inf on hand.

double digit billions,okay... like greater than 10,000,000,000?

Do you hold billions longer than 60 days in your email?

How do you claim "part" of an email or bid? I thought it was all or nothing.

You can't send a billion, only 999,999,999

As long as you're logging into a character regularly, you can keep bids up indefinitely.

I don't think bids go away in 60 days just because you don't log in in any case, but on my active characters it doesn't really matter.

I'm going to be watching these threads more closely because I'm working on earning a few of these IOs myself. ^_^ I have 23 amerits on my night widow as of last night, on target to have 30 by Saturday, and I have 10 on one scrapper and 11 on another scrapper. I also have a 2 billion bid for one on the market. This is the first time I've worked hard at earning and saving up amerits to buy something like this, and if I can earn one or two to sell, so much the better. ^_^

She knows but it's easier to type a bil and most people would understand what she meant.

It's really simple you bid on things that don't exist like lvl 53 IO's bid 2 bil and wentworths takes it out of your inventory and holds it for you. You can claim each email and store it on went worths that way. Or log in multiple toon and claim it on them. And by claim part she means claim 1 of the 3 emails for example. This really isn't a difficult concept...

There is not time limit on active accounts on WW, on inactive accounts it's supposed to be 60 days but i don't think that is working. Email however does go away in 60 days so you want to claim it before then.

A little over 24 billion, to be exact.

Okay, technicality: 1 inf shy of a billion for each of those two e-mails. By claiming "part" of the influence, I mean only claiming one e-mail at a time, I.E. "part" of the 2.7 billion. When it comes to attachments you have to claim all or nothing, and it generally wont allow you to claim influence from an attachment if it would exceed the cap.

If I need to do long-term holding I can either stash the influence in WW, or claim the old e-mail and send it to myself again, thus renewing the 60 day limit.

If you want to sell it it has to be less than 1,999,999,999

Here's why:

There is a Listing Fee, which is 5% of the price you sell your item for. You get this fee back if you sell your item. There is also a Transaction Fee of 10% of the final sale price, which is deducted at the time of purchase. The 5% you paid when you listed the item is subtracted from the Transaction Fee. You will use your Influence to pay for these transactions.

Please be aware that you will lose your listing fee if your item does not sell. Also, you may put up a 'looking to buy' order. Your items will stay up for sale indefinitely, as long as you are active in the community. If you disappear for 60 days or more, your items will be lost.

There is a Listing Fee
Which is why there are so many of this particular IO being sold off market; no listing fee, and you can fetch more than the 2 billion influence you'd be limited to on the market.

My question is the listing fee. Is it put back directly into your account or is it added to the sale price in WW/BM after it sells?

Edit: To do the transaction above you will need to have 100,000,000 in your account.

Posted

The listing fee is taken from your account up front, the listing fee refund and the transaction fee is in/taken from the final sell price.

Using the gleemail, 19,999,999,980(20x999,999,999) would be the maximum that could be held there in addition to the 2,000,000,000 per character. I would be scared to hold billions in Gleemail but I guess someone is doing this.

Will the system allow your account to have zero INF/Infamy as a buyer?

thanks for the photo R-Tech.

Yes, I wasn't planning to sell these on the market. In fact if my 2 billion bid on the market comes through, I might even sell THAT IO off-market for 2.5 or 2.7 billion, assuming I've already purchased the ones I plan to use myself.

If I couldn't sell these off-market for more than 2 billion, then I believe buying Luck of the Gambler +7.5% recharges and selling those on market would be at least as lucrative as selling 1 PvP +3% def IO on market...

(30 amerits = 15 LotG +7.5% recharge IOs or 1 PvP +3% def IO)

Probably. Although I suspect most people who have excess billions store it as market bids. I tend to place stacks of 10 bids at 200,000,000 each on gladiator's armor globals. They won't fill and it stores 2billion in one market slot with no change of bids combining.

No

No
So someone offering an item for 2,000,000,000 will never be filled because the buyer will have a zero balance so it has to be 1,999,999,999 to sell/move, right?
