  1. There are no rewards now in MA missions. Custom created critters NERFED, tickets for mish's NERFED, Hard mish's NERFED because they "could" be used as farms, There are no salvage drops, there are no recipe drops and content continues to be shoved down our throats. Now it's back to grinding for anything you need because there is no way to get it anymore without grinding or farming. Regular mish's are the way to go again. At least you get salvage drops and recipe drops.

    As far as *I* know (you may know differently, but I doubt it), even a Moderator cannot move a thread into another thread!!!

    Of course, had you checked out the links Mod8 posted when he locked your thread, you'd have figured out that Mod8 actually pointed you in the direction of the two threads that are the official threads to discuss MA Abuse/Risk-per-Reward issues.

    If you expect Mod8 to actually move your posts to the threads the Moderators have created for these particular discussions, I think you're not paying them enough to do THAT job...

    It's been said, it should be said again: Getting to the ticket cap is a very rare thing indeed.

    They are not cutting tickets across the board. For most characters on most maps on most missions you would not even come close to the cap anyway. You can still level and gain rewards at the same speed you would if you were running typical developer content.

    The ONLY thing this affects are min/maxed farm style rewards gathering. Go play some MA missions -- NORMAL ones, not just all-boss clears designed exclusively for ticket maxing, thank you -- and if you start hitting the cap regularly, THEN I will back your play for removing/raising the cap. Until then, this won't affect much of anything.

    Again, some peeps have great toons that can do very hard mish's and there are NO salvage drops and recipe drops to compensate for the loss of tickets. I made very hard mish's for toons like mine with minions, Lt's and bosses so they are not farm mish's or boss only mish's. Yet I feel I'm being penalized.

    I enjoy lots of content in this game, but since tickets are the only drop you get in AE mishes, the tickets are an important part of the risk/reward deal Posi keeps preaching about. Has anyone ever gotten more than 2 pieces of rare salvage and a few recipes on a regular PvE mission?

    I know I have, but that level of reward isn't possible now in AE, not matter how large the map or how many enemies you fight.

    It's like player created arcs aren't worth as much as the games reg arcs and I find allot to be better then the game's arcs.

    This did nothing to the risk/reward balance up to the point where you stop getting tickets on a given mission, and as I mentioned above, it's still quite a bit higher than you can get in regular PvE.

    NO it's not. You don't get salvage drops and recipe drops and the puny amount of tickets now in no way makes up for what you would get in a reg mish if you were to cash them in for salvage and recipes.

    Cry me a river. Stop playing AE for rewards. Play AE because its fun, living, changing, evolving content. A breath of fresh air in a world of persistent world grinding. AE is an ideal concept that has been defiled by the materialistic exp gorging and mad ticket grabbing frenzies of people like you.
    If you hadn't tried to break the system for your own selfish purposes, people would still be getting normal rewards for my stories, instead of the deflated rewards that they get now. Luckily, the stories are so entertaining, that nobody else seems to notice the difference.

    Scuse me?? I didn't farm Ae until it got nerfed sir. Farmers did. I have done so many AE mish's I can't count anymore and it was very fun. I love doing other friends mish's and I love doing the very hard mish's because I could with me toons. And with those harder mish's came allot of rewards which was great. You seem to forget that not having avenues to good recipes and inf is what what created farming in the first place. Secondly you will NEVER be able to stop farming completely so stop nerfing everything in an attempt to do so. I'm just saying that if these player created mish's where the real game mish's you'd be getting better rewards then by doing them as AE mish's. At least now.

    1500 tickets possible per mission is still a lot, and as a time investment if you're 'not-farming' you can still rake in a lot of recipes and salvage (which you get to choose) purchases, more than you would be able to get through normal missions. The only thing you won't be getting are purple recipes.

    If it's a challenge map, make the map any size but large, IE: not a farm.

    As far as I can tell, the only ones screaming are the farmers. Anyone who is whining about this change and says "I'm not a farmer" is lying as far as I'm concerned.

    Edit/PS: I'm not anti-farming, but the Devs have made their stance on this clear. Take the farming back to Taskforces, PI and Grandville.

    But here's my point. Some people make great toons. They invest time into research and acquiring their recipes to make io's. Now just because those people need and want tougher mish's doesn't make them liars either. That is just stupid to think that all good toons are farmers. And to say that you didn't ever farm for something yourself is most likely a lie. Now since people with good toons do harder mish's we are used to greater rewards. I have allot of toons and I need good recipes. I did tough mish's on AE to get tickets for reward rolls for my toons. But I didn't do AE mish's all day or even do the same mish twice. It was great to finally feel like you actually got a reward by getting a nice amount of tickets. Now that is gone and I don't see the need for doing AE anymore. If you aren't getting as much tickets for something that doesn't drop salvage or recipes anyway when reg mish's do then why bother? what little tickets you get won't make up for the salvage drops and recipes you get doing reg mish's. You know xp will be the next thing they nerf.

    Agreed. Seems like it's a positron pet peeve or something. He seemed to drive that point home in the last city scoop. He said himself that it wasn't "unexpected" and yet did not do a thing to prevent it until now.

    I14 sure has created allot of corruptions (bugs) though. My base has been corrupted 3 times now with different problems.

    They don't have to pull the servers down to do this. They can ban accounts/toons/missions without any sort of maintenance at all.

    Bannin accounts or toons in an account doesn't require the servers to go at all, however in order put flags in place, change MA badges and install new "banned" mission instruments to MA they do have to pull servers down, but that would be in addition to the bugs they are fixing as well. Base bugs still exist, like not being able to Click on your personal salvage vault in your base and other accessible things like storage bins. Bugs causing toons to DC and the "hidden" enemy bug may all be getting fixed, but who knows what they are doing since they don't tell us anything. We are just taking up time in the forums cause the game is down. : (

    But you are all right, it would be nice to know that the servers would be down today. No idea why notification can't be sent out to let us know. It's kinda like the responses you get from gm's when you file a bug report or problem. You get a generic and vague response from them that tells you absolutely nothing about your problem and it's possible fix.
  22. Ahhh the age old [censored] about pvp since I13. Man, I totally agree that the devs majorly screwed this one up and I hate the changes made. Many of my friends left as well due to this idiotic, YES FRICKEN IDIOTIC!!!, nerf to pvp. (Was that loud enough for you to hear CASTLE????)

    But... in the same breath I have adapted and overcome my blind white static hatred of the pvp nerf and survived. As a game, it changed at that point. Became something different and forced me to adjust my toons to pvp better. While only one of my toons was completely white washed of any hope to pvp again(my psi/psi) dom, I found my other toons weren't completely nerfed at all. My ice/elec dom does quite well in pvp with a 70 to 30 kill to was killed ratio. He still "holds" opponents, all be it not as long, but he still holds them and is able to kill. My stalkers(thank goodness I didn't have a regen) can still kill. My ss brute hits through elude and other tier 9's now more frequently and my dark/kin cor actually scored a kill! I may get killed a little more by otherwise weak and feeble pve power sapping defenders, but I still pvp.

    I hate the changes and the devs for forcing this [censored] down our throats, but I adapted and that's that. Hope you all can do the same as many have already done so.

So I would imagine this patch is to ban some toons and remove from players badges that were created or obtained from these extreme cases of MA abuse and to put in place flags to catch such abuses quicker in the future. Read the newest city scoop article from Positron.
  24. uhm... I think you are going overboard on this one. No one will farm this with the mish of glowies in the middle of an arc anyway. One minute glowies is way to much overkill. There are a ton of objective farms out there with glowies and all kinds of stuff still so I'd say you are more then safe with yours.

    It must be very high. The other night, including the end-mish ticket bonus, I collected 2606 tickets on a single outdoor mission, running solo, defeating all.

    Depends on the mission size IIRC. I.e., a tiny map with a handful of spawns will have a lower cap than a huge map with loads of spawns.

    I have never heard of smaller mish's having a different cap then then any other mission. The cap is simply 9999 and that's it. So get up to 9999 is as far as you can go. This cap can be achieved and surpassed on a single mish if you solo 8 man team mobs thanks to some anchors. If you have reached any cap before 9999 then something is wrong.
