Seeing as how I'm up and all, I figured I'd wish you a Happy Hatching Day!
-
Well. I'm driving there (only 3 hrs at a leisurely pace) and I'll be heading down on Friday. I'll happily stop by SFO and pick anyone up that's comping in 11ish, I'll even hang around if their coming in later.
The hotel has a shuttle to SJO, so if your are not opting for wheels, that might be a better bet. -
...with being awake.
G'nite all. -
Quote:I like this idea. Baring an icon in search, how about at least giving the trial accounts a different colour name in the search window. This has come a few times and I always get the impression a few of us like helping and teaming with Trials.
If I could offer an idea, besides being able to respond to tells, would be to add an icon in the search engine marking the Trial players. This way those of us forming teams can see they are trials and invite them without having to /tell, and show them around.
As for there being more spam since the restriction. My experience has been the complete opposite. No more spam tells, spam broadcasts, and now, no more spam email.
If people were a little more observant and helpful, temp account restrictions can become less of an issue for the new player trying out CoX. I actually went in search of a new player last night, and found one in GC.
He had played the game back when CoV had come out and had started a temp account because he had wanted to try heroes instead.I explained the merging of the two, and spent the next hour chatting with him, even ex'd down to lvl 3 to run a mish with him.
Good times were had. He's said he was going to restart his old account.
So much of the restrictions temps must endure, are not nearly as bad when someone takes the time to chaperon and impart some of their wisdom. -

Quote:I've seen that before I16 out in Stirga, only they walk for a few steps then trip. I had to stop and laugh. That's been referred to as "the Frankenstein walk" and I'm pretty sure it's new to i16. I love it! But it's definitely not the same as the crouching-zipping walk I'm referring to. It's sort of like someone is trying to be a stealthy sprinter. Just looks odd to me.
And I guess I haven't seen the 'crab' walk, just the crouching 'sneaking' walk.
Edit: Stealthy sprinter? Sounds a lot like what the coralax do when they are running, they have a hunched-over, speed-running movement. -
Next week is game night at a friends house, and I probably wont be dragging my laptop down there. But count me in on the Sewer Trial.

Looks like their 'sneaking' to me, I like it.

I'm looking for the sound(s) to the Tech Inspiration Storage. Anyone have a clue?

I see a new shoulder accessory coming down the pipe from JLove...

AC, this definitely should go up in Rude Tells.
And I do hope you petitioned those morons. -
Quote:Odd, I just upgraded my 2nd account with a GvE code and a 30-Day time card. Now, the 30-day cards include a trial as well, and it didn't want to take the code for it at first, so I backed out to my account page, went back in to my second account to update the payment for it, and it accepted the 30-day code without a hitch.Quote:

I have personally upgraded a trial account to a retail account with a box code and a time card.
What do you do when "use" a time card to open a "new" account? I would like to see that.
It was posted earlier in this thread, you have show you can pay. NCsoft does not view Time Cards brought at the store as proof that you can pay. You can have a stack of 100 cards it makes no difference you can't get the web site add the game to your account unless you have a CC. If you have no game in the "accounts" section you can't add time to it. It is not there, no game, no CC, no play. I stand by my comments.
You need a CC to start playing, CC or go away. -

I went to last years HeroCon and I am attending this years HeroCon. I agree with those saying hold off until next year to give you time to save up money for travel/hotel/food/activities/swag. Start saving now.
Also, if you've followed the HeroCon thread up in Announcements, there are those that are offering room-sharing/ride-sharing. There had been plans for a caravan from your neck of the woods although I don't think it panned out. Hopefully the economy will continue its upswing (slow that it may be, but up none the less,) that may actually happen next year.
You'll likely not have to worry about transportation once you get here, plenty of attendees are offering to pick up people at the airports, bus terminal wouldn't be any different.
Most of the non-Con activities saw people car-pooling, so a "Ooo yes me too" will get you a ride. The activities that happened last year, bowling, Friday night Justice dinner (PuG table FTW!), bacon waffle breakfast, In 'n Out Burger etc, were open to all regardless of age. There may have been other smaller groups out at the bars, but for the most part they were 'anyone can go' activities.
And keep your eyes on the Announcements section of the forums, especially around June-July. This year we got the dates later than we were expecting, we chalk it up to several issues being released, and the Con being moved to a new venue.
I look forward to seeing everyone there!

With all the alt accounts posting now, it just never slows down, making it problematic if not impossible to keep up with the scoring.
