Your right, forgot they wouldn't stack :P also I have to correct my perma hasten cus I didn't realize the proc was "active" when I saw the perma hasten~ (I still have so much to learn~)
  2. I didn't really have any suggestions for him either since I am also looking for advice and stink at builds, but his build gave me quite a few ideas. Also, I +5'd his hasten (not sure if he has the means, but if he can he should) cus it gives him Perma-hasten, and then if you combine that with powerboost, between geyser and hydroblast he has a really great chance to set off the +chance for recharge, which can get him well under a minute if hes lucky enough to fire off both. (if he used a purple set for geyser, he could hit a 45 sec recharge without it, its still 55 seconds)

My only concern with his build is that it looks super clicky. He has all the great buffs and power up that are almost all perm and he can keep most of them up 80% of the time. the strain of maintaining that though and the toll on the endurance is another matter...

I really like this build, its better than what I came up with, but I am still trying to stay away from blapper~ also why nictus instead of theft? I noticed you and everyone else seems to favor nictus more, but since I only plan to use 3 slots for the heal, I think theft is better for me or am I wrong?
  4. I am not sure why your so much into hora, its a great power, but its nowhere near perm, so wonder about relying on it...also instead of running speed in swift, since you favor fly and hover, maybe you should put a flight IO in there instead? I am impressed with your defense numbers, I wish I had considered blapper before so I could generate defense numbers like that...
  5. I wrote most of this in my asking for advice and help as a new blaster, so now I am posting what I came up after all of the peoples advice and comments. I am not sure if the slots translate properly, if a slot is empty on a slotted power, odds are its the "overwhelming force" enhancments. I believe they are in the word version, but may not load when you open this in mids...

Edit: the overwhelming won't load. so they are:
    Kb/kd in waterburst
and the three in dehydrate are:
    acc/dmg
    acc/dmg/end
    dmg/end/recharge

Also if your wondering about the "random" doctored wounds in hibernate...its cus I have an extra one and thought it'd be a waste to not use it :P

The two powers that are "missing" io's is the overwhelming force set....mids keeps removing them for some reason, if you look at the text, they are there, but when you plug the code into mids they are not in there...I put so many into health prob just because I could. I also four slotted stamina as you say, everything else is slotted to its proper use. I thought about maybe four slots in combat jumping, but then I thought two was enough...perhaps I will move the useless one from health back to combat jumping so I get a small regenerate bonus... Updated my build after poking around others (nobody has commented anything yet, so here is my own tweaking from taking the slotting of health advice and looking at others:

If you are going to re-roll, have high recharge, and skip most of the secondary, I'd consider using /Nrg for Build Up and Energize. And I wouldn't skip Build Up.

Steam Spray is a cone, so it won't take Decimations.

I'd put the Kismet into Combat Jumping (and likely would only put the +recharge LotG into CJ, so CJ would just have two slots). I wouldn't invest so much into Hibernate. Miracle Recovery into health first, then if you have room the Numina (and I'd likely slide a slot out of Stamina into health to get the Numina).

I might drop Whirilwind and Flash Freeze to pick up Tactics and Vengeance, use some of the slots from Hibernate to slot up Tactics.
I like almost all those suggestions...except I don't know if I will remove from stamina if I am going to switch to energy, I am looking at the toggles and seeing my endruance taking a huge plunge (I see it happening anyway, I am not sure how this turned out so toggle heavy for a blaster....
  10. Hi~ I am new to blasters, infact this is my first attempt at one. I would like to hear some feedback or get some advice on how to fix this one, thanks a lot guys ^_^

They're so smug with their fancy hats... I'm about to ruin their day: Whirlpool! Hydro Blast! Water Bu... Oh, stunned. Oh, dead. Oh man, team, that ambush - It came out of nowhere!"
To be honest, I only died once on my water toon, but I am only doing the low level missions (I decided to skip DFB for the "quick levels") and its paying off in experiance on how to play it well for me. I am used to a melee combo set 1-2-3 an so I keep setting off premature water bursts, but more often then not its saved my bacon, I even upped my mob counts to +0/+4 at level 10 and I am surviving really well, despite the abundance of yellows/oranges. I find the key is keep a whirl pool in front of me, blast the group, when they all charge me, while I am picking off one, I then water burst again when they are all in the whirlpool regardless if I have 3 counters are not. if I have 3 counters, all go down, if not, most go down and then I pick off the ones that didn't, its working out really well so far
(the one time I died, I gunghoed into a group to lay down whirl pull and missed the boss in among them Q_Q)

I didn't play the beta, TBH I haven't even gotten waterjet yet, so I maybe commented on it too soon, I was going by the Dev notes...the thing is as someone that fights a lot of AVs solo and such on my other character (I realize I won't be doing this on a blaster) I only have to see 15 seconds to know thats waaaaay too long. 8 seconds is still rough but managable at least~

Sylivia rexton took 20 minutes? that sounds more like a team damage break down...also you favor water for corruptor right? the water damage is a bit lower for them, I tried a cor. and a blaster, the blaster can one shot things, while the cor. did about half that, but then I didn't get passed level 10 with the cor....

    As for my advice?

Any time someone tells you to reroll before you've even had a chance to experience the character in question: Ignore them.

They cannot possibly know if you will enjoy that character, and if you listen to them, you might miss out on the best playing experience you could have had by rerolling what would have been your main.
Good to see you claws ^_^ I will take your advice, you are a huge reason my first and only character was so successful~ (shes doing amazing, shes still +2 atm, but her survivability and damage output is fantastic for a brute, I truly love what she became) I am hoping I will have a similar experiance with this one, while I know I will die an aweful lot, my goal isn't survivability with this one, I'd like to work my way to top tier someday as I get more knowledgable with it, but so far, I am just enjoying the character itself, not lofty goals like soloing AVs or GMs~

think this is why the waterjet lock out should be at least reworked to something less extreme than 15 seconds. 15 seconds is a LOT of regen for an AV, especially the ones that have regen powers built in. Also people are saying regular blasters will out pace water in i24 (I know nothing about this but that people say it).

So skipping to what I do know: 15 seconds for a main stay combo for doing 1v1 damage, is way to harsh. I could live with a 5-8 second lock out, but in truth your really shoveling water against an ocean against any regen types when this is your go combo for 1v1 damage.
  16. Thank you for the tips and sets I should look into, I like the sound of that~
To be honest, I won't roll a corruptor because support is something I know I will fail at. Getting debt doesn't really phase me, after all, there is a limit to how much you can get and I am not exactly in a rush, the point is to enjoy what you do~ and I really wanted to play with water since I started playing, but there was no water power at the time. Also it sounds a bit arrogant, but I only play one character up to this point, and I already saved 1.8 billion influence to give this character a jumps start and have some recepies I saved (but not sure if they are useful for blasters, I saved them cus I thought I would play more melee, but I think I can fit LOTG and performance shifters in there some how...) I don't expect it to be fantastic or anything, just something I can enjoy. I just know next to nothing about what could/should be slotted enhancement wise given that I limited myself to only one other character.

That all said, I appreciate everyone's advices, I will keep poking around old posts and mids to see if I can learn some more, but just learning how to keep track of my accuracy and how many slots I need to plan for my attacks is good. (btw, when you said 6 slots for thunder, is that for single focused attacks or are those for AOE? water doesn't have too many single strike attacks, so just curious) also I was looking ahead at the ATO set for blasters, and it looks great, for my brute I hands down decided to split it up for bonuses. but with Global accuracy as well as damage, I was wondering what to do with Blaster ATOs. Should I break them into 3/3 for acc/range bonuses or perhaps keep the full set for the damage? I was thinking if I really went nuts with accuracy I could do 2/2/2 in mules and I wouldn't have worry about accuracy at all....

Once you get to the mid-levels, Thunderstrike IOs are a great set for range blasters. 6 each in your single target range attacks. I'd recommend taking Chilling Embrace, since it will (likely) have the absorb shield in it eventually. I really like Shiver, lowers the enemy attack rate nicely.
thanks ^_^ thats the kind of feed back I was looking for~ so more so than damage, accuracy is a priority with blasters....come to think of that I prob should have used that philosophy on my melee character if my hit rate is any indication Q_Q thank you!
  18. Hi all~ I only ever made one character, and the water power has got me really interested in expanding, so I made my first alt today. I usually play a melee brute, so blasters is a big learning curve to me (learning not to rush into mobs to hit them, but also trying to learn how to gauge when my distance will actually hit)
so I poked around some builds and suchs to see if I could learn some things (knowing there isn't anything for water yet) but most of what I see are debates since blasters from what I gather are getting an overhaul.

Could some of you nice knowledgable folk please tell me some sets I should look into or kinds of things I should slot? especially if you got a good grasp of the water blast power already? I am trying water/ice with flying capablities (seems blasting and hover/flying go together) what are some sets I should look at for bonuses? any tips on how I should slot powers?

I have 8 toggles, and I use Super Speed only for travel. I use it just to hop huge walls or get around flying favored cities, but I mostly use them to "hop" on and off. if I have to turn on 8 toggles every time, not worth it. I don't mind losing my powers while its in use, but to have to return everything on? total waste
  20. Nevermind, I found the answer to my question. The flying carpet is a complete waste. I highly recommend not buying it >_< I'll delete this thread as soon as I figure out how
  21. it seems to have stemmed from the 3D resolution scale...oddly enough I never really changed it, but when I just maxed it, the problem seems to stop...thanks, its weird it just kinda changed, but at least I am not having that problem at the moment. also the task bar doesn't seem to have any notable side effects ^_^

    thanks again~

  24. I am playing in Oroborous and every time I enter a mission map, its doing the same thing, where everything is off center and small, but not like how other people are describing it...(I was trying to find my issue in other posts) basically it happens at two points. At the start of the mission (for only a few seconds) then at the end of the mission (won't fix until I leave the mission map, I can't see exit button, so I have to walk out and kinda guess where the exit is) here is what it looks like:

Also it should be noted that all the black surrounding the screen is the normal size its at, so it shrinks considerably, also as I said, the buttons/text/ everything is off set despite what I see.
  25. I am still toying with it, I am bit irked that I saved up a ton of merits and can only buy one ATO per week (that seriously looks like a way to push for extra vip since you spend nearly an entire month to get a full set through the merit system) also I took what others said into advice, however I am unsure what they mean by "proc" to be honest heca and armageddon I slotted not so much for the damage as the universal recharge, so I am not sure if I want to drop those...
