  1. I had been hoping to find this information out on my own, but after a long period of research, I finally decided to cave in and ask our wonderful and knowledgeable CoX community, so here goes:

All the pvp sets (Javelin Volley, Fury of the Gladiator, ect) seem to have normal set bonuses which I assume are active even in pve and extra set bonuses that are activate in only pvp. What I am wondering is, is the above assumption correct, and if so, do you get both sets of set bonuses when in pvp or do the set bonuses switch over to the 2nd set of bonuses (nullifying the first) when in pvp?

You get bonus points if you use an example in your answer.
  2. Amazing. No interest at all. I did however manage to form a team and get the arbiter badge, without any early sign-ups. I guess I’ll have to post earlier in the future if I want to elicit a response…
  3. This may not be early enough to elect a good response, but I’m going to give it a try anyway:

I’m planning to run a Barracuda Strike Force tonight (11-28-09) on Virtue at 5:00 pm CST. Anyone who wants to reserve a spot and can commit the time to the event should post here or send me a private tell (be sure to include your characters name, archetype, and power sets. As anyone who has run the SF before knows, Brutes and Corrs are the most desirable archetypes for this SF, so they will be given special consideration if I end up with more then 7 offers for help. The meeting point before we begin will be in Grandville by Barracuda herself. As per the nature of the Strike force, only levels characters lv 45-50 need apply. Thanks for listening to this request, and I hope to see you there!

Me first! I’ll be bringing my lv 50 Gravity/Psi Dom Psycho Scourge!

    Who’s next?
  4. Is that 8 EST? For the Mother ship raids I mean.
  5. Well I’ve tried all of the drivers posted by Mateo and removed NVidia NetworkAccessManager from my computer, but Im still having problems. I’ve noticed that this issue comes extremely often in the costume creation screen.
    …Any more ideas anyone?

I know that I have gotten a new power supply since I first got this computer, but will have to do some research to find out what it is. I will post this information when I find it.
  7. I’m not sure exactly what the problem is, but when I play Coh/Cov, my screen will sometimes start flickering and produce a stream of lines and colors like this . This usually results in a complete freeze a few seconds later, forcing me to reboot. While I’m not sure what the problem is, I believe it to be related to my drivers, on the grounds that I have had this problem before, and usually was able to “solve” it by (eventually) finding the a new set of drivers. However, I still had to play on lower graphical settings, or the problem would rear its ugly head. I am at the point now where I can no longer find a set of drivers that will not create this issue with Coh/Cov (assuming that’s the problem) and have decided to ask for help so that I can get back to playing again, so if anyone can help me identify/correct my problem, I would appreciate the help. My System Processor is an AMD Athlon 64 Processor 32, and my Graphics Card Processor is a GeForce 7800 GT. Also, if someone is going to suggest getting a new driver, please suggest something that is also compatible with WoW. Thank you.

  9. First of all, welcome to the COH project Bruce.

I wanted to ask what advice you have for those of us who want to spend our carriers creating market quality stories and adventures such as those that appear as COH story arcs and task forces (or just make extremely good story threads using the coming COH mission creator). In short, how do you develop and enhance the skills necessary to create compelling and driven plots for the COH missions?
  10. I’m sorry to see that there is so much complaining about the new vet rewards (though I can’t say I didn’t expect it). Just so the devs know that not all of us are put off by the new rewards, I’ll put in my two cents.

As a player with both the Collectors DVD editions of Coh/Cov, along with the Good vs Evil and Wedding pack add-ons, I take a certain pride in having available to me (close to) the “whole slew” of costume options in the game. One of the things I have always wanted to complete my collection was access to the pre-order sprints and helmet options (I count the sprints as costume options because of the visible effect they add to your character, even though they eventually fall into disuse). Of course, sprints came in (relatively) early in the vet reward program, while the helmets remained elusive. Seeing the helmets now being offered as Vet rewards and knowing that I can now fill that “missing gap” in my costume options makes me elated. Thanks, devs!

As for the choice getting to choose from two of the previously unselected vet powers, I have mixed feelings. I’m not as put of by it as some people, (It’s no where near as disappointing as the 45 months reward, which is rather bare (I mean, didn’t they give out freespecs WITH stuff in the past?)) but it would be nice to have access to different, more unique powers. (I guess my biggest complaint is the overuse of “Darkness” or “Negative energy” type powers, as in the sand and wand powers. Personally, I think a choice from some auto-powers such automatic defensive/damage resistance/health and endurance regen bonus or perhaps a bonus to power recharge rate or endurance discounts, just throwing out ideas here people, would be extremely awesome. If the devs are going to keep going to giving us attack powers as vet rewards though, please at least mix in damage types and effects other than darkness.)

So yeah, long story short, I’m excited, especially about the helms.
  11. Just wanted to say that I think that Psionic weapons would be a good idea...
