While FS made it ridiculous, the issue was with APP attacks in general - as they were never (originally) adjusted to take containment into consideration, so they were dealing 2x the damage intended.

Yeah - anything that gets sent to your chat windows (including the basic "Hit", "Miss", etc) are automatically saved even if you don't have it set to show.

If you plan on getting a paid sub, go ahead and grab it now - the time stacks, and it lifts the restrictions.

To start with, I recommend the GvE pack - the powers in it are nice utility powers you can get frequent use out of.

Also, you can buy various Retail packs and "Stack" them if you haven't used that one on your account before, getting the goodies and free month (saving five bucks if you were wanting the goods anyway) - so you can get GvE, then Mac retail, then AE edition... etc.

It's one of the trial restrictions, to make sure people who make money selling in-game currancy can't use AE to advertise (Same reason a trial-account cannot INVITE to a team although they can join one - we had spammers inviting people them spamming them with "BUY NOW 10M 93.99!"). You can still "use" the AE - if you are teamed with others using it.

There's also quite a few Freaks (and lost bosses) in Faultline.

And you can find the occasional lowbie (10-15ish) Freak in The Hollows, but I wouldn't recommend hunting them there. Far to rare.

Edit: To the OP assuming you can handle a few Freaks (level 30-32) at the same time, you can get everything you need in Crey's Folly. Enter the zone and turn left there are almost always 1 or 2 large groups just up the street (usually battling Crey forces). Defeat them, then make an about face and head back to the entrance. There's a large warehouse just to the right of the entrance, hop up onto the roof and smack around the rikti monkeys (level 30-32). Then hop back to street level and follow the road directly away from the entrance. You'll pass a warehouse on your left, turn left after than and you'll find some sewage cannals. Hovering around the sewage cannals you'll see some DE swarms. Take them out, and you're all set.

(Note: It's been a while since I've done it so I might have the kill order backwards.)

Not only that, but in that area there are lots of rooftops with Rikti Monkey swarms - so they are fairly easy to kill.
