Since my plan was to bid over 200M, it was a deal for me. I've been pacted for almost 20 hours now, and I noticed I'm not level 47 yet. Get to work Smurphy!!!
Good luck to those choosing to get in the next round.
RagManX -
I got in on this. So many characters I want a free ride on while I play the lowbie characters I like, but I went with a Necro/Dark MM. I'll be playing the market with him while Smurphy and family/friends give him an easy ride to the high levels.
RagManX -
I'm still waiting until closer to the start date to decide if I care enough to bid. The prices are getting close to the limit of my interest, so I'll wait and see where pricing goes in the final days. Currently, I plan to bid, though, at around the current low-middle winners' range.
RagManX -
I'm still waiting on I13 market impact to hit, so I can see how easily I can earn back my investment in this. That said, I will most likely be bidding in the 150-200M range, and I *will* try to get a spot if bidding remains in that range, should the market impact be something that I can easily figure how to continue profiting from marketeering. Just to give folks a price range idea if they are thinking about doing this.
And I'll probably be playing my characters at the market at the same time Smuprhy is farming, which should make my payback very quick.
RagManX -
This is awesome. I'll bid once I see what I13 does to the market and I get an idea of how I will choose to keep getting richer. I may even bid for 2 spots. We shall see.
And I already have 100s of M inf* on Freedom. Should make it easy for me to figure the value of the bids in comparison.

Did anyone else notice LightHouse left just as another Rikti invasion started? Coincidence? I *think* NOT!
LH is returning to the Rikti homeworld. The invasion is a ploy to distract attention from the necessary travel channel used to get LH back home.

I was stunned upon hearing the news that you'd resigned.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am just having a hard time buying into this.
There was clearly a disconnect between LH and the other rednames or he would never have been forced to post his PVP retraction statement. Yes, I do believe he was forced and this departure is no coincidence.
If I had to guess I would say that NorCal is in a bit of upheaval right now over the direction the game is taking and we, as a community, are going to suffer from its implosion.

The only logical explanation is that wasn't the real BAB posting!!!
I suggest it's a BAB-emulating turing test-bot.

So Lighthouse was scapegoated for all of the PvP hate because he had the audacity to speak candidly about the process?
Good luck wherever ya land, Light.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc
No one has proven any reason for his leaving, and no one has given any reason so far aside from him seeking "outside employment". Just because one thing happens after another, that doesn't mean that one caused the other.
[/ QUOTE ]
Bah! Don't you know people couldn't publish supposition on t3h intarpipes if it weren't true? Ergo, PvP ate LH's babies.

So long and thanks for all the fish.
Hope something else is lined up for you.

Also, they are constricting salvage holdings in bases to 30 in each bin including Halloween and Candy Canes. They probably think that they can force people to sell it and not hoard it to keep the prices down this way.

Luckily, I have over 200 alts I can put things on, and more free server slots if I feel the need. Can't force meh!!!

Just noticed Sister Psyche is not in that list (or at least I overlooked it). Anyone know the number? I have screenies of 2 Posi runs at 3.1 and 3.6 hours on a minimum sized team. The same character ran a Sister Psyche in 4.25 hours with a minimum sized team. Would be interested in knowing where those numbers fit against the datamined average, and whether or not the payout for Psyche would make her's worth running.

If a "regular speeden" team does this twice a day in 20 minutes, the normal Edenites who do this once a month are going to get swamped.
[/ QUOTE ]
So everyone can be angry with me, I'll confess to doing as many as 11 speeden runs in a night at my peak play time. And the day I did those 11 runs, I also made 7 Katie runs.
I'm sorry, everybody. I haven't run anything faster than an ITF in almost 2 months, if it helps. I don't have the play time I used to.

To Ironblade: Eden gets completed in 10-15 minutes on average, no typo.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I don't believe this. I've done with this with different people, different SG's, etc and have never done it that fast. Not even close. I don't believe that many people are 'speed running' it when I know so many people who consider it the best TF/trial in the game and take their time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Having been on a regular speeden team for a while that routinely broke 10 minutes and often broke 8 minutes, I'm not sure the numbers are off. I'll see if I can dig up the screenshot I took when my team completed Eden in 7 minutes 13 seconds. While that is not be typical, but the extreme performers blow the numbers for the average, and this can be seen on many of the merit reward numbers.

See - I learned something new here. I thought it was changed to 6 seconds. No wonder I missed some crits that I thought should have gone off.

I agree, esp re: Jack. IMHO, Jack's spawn should be 1/5 at the least, vice 1/10.
[/ QUOTE ]
I concur. I remember asking for this change last year, as well.
So far, I've been fortunate and not had trouble finding teams to hunt until everyone gets badges, but I'm not seeing the numbers yet that I saw last year. Hopefully that's a reflection of the event starting a few days early, though, and not an indication that people aren't going to work together this year to help each other out. I remember playing my Fire/Ice tank for almost 4 hours last year just helping people get the GM badges. I wanted to switch and get badges for some alts, but stuck with what worked since most of the people getting badges were squishies and my tank could just ignore E's damage and keep aggro via taunt. Maybe I can badge up those alts this year.

You live on the stock market?
I was working with a team to defeat Ghost of Scrapyarder when the skies turned red and a dozen or so zombies popped up in our fighting area. By the time we got the zombies under control, we had lost track of Ghost and didn't care. Was the best surprise yet in the 4+ years I've been playing Co*. Well done, devs.

How did I miss this guide all this time? I have a fire/ice blaster that is slowly advancing. I'm not much for blasting, but she is fun to play on occasion. I'll try to update her with the information here and see if she gets a little better for me. Thanks for the work.

Just saw this guide. Thanks for the work. Haven't pored over all of it yet, but will. Hopefully this will help me get my EM/Rgn stalker to the point I can enjoy playing him as much as I enjoy my MA/Nin and DM/SR stalkers. I may have just picked the wrong secondary for me, but I'll read this and see if I can come up with improvements on the primary to make him more fun.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned a dark defender for Katie. With tar patch and fearsome stare, the enemies never move more than 1-2 steps from spawn to cower to dead. My fastest Katie was a PUG run with a good leader, my Dark/Dark as the only defender, no controllers, 4 blasters (two archery for rain of arrows abuse), a tank and 2 scrappers. I took the alphas in mission 1, stealthed the 2nd and used vet team TP to get everyone there, and herded the last room in the 3rd mission with Darkest Night. We finished in 17 min 06 seconds.
And it's not because *I* am that good, but because Dark/ is that good.

I'm late to comment, but wanted to just throw out a thanks for this. I've been very slowly leveling my widow, and am so cautious building her because I want to minimize respec burns to get things right. Having some commentary on the powers really helps me map out in my mind where I want to take my character.

Summary: Failing One of the time missions and winning the others still awarded the badge.

This is good information. On the kill all timed map, I cleared the map in 8 minutes, but could not find the blinkie in the remaining 22 minutes (yes, I maxed out my volume to find the bomb by sound with 8 minutes to go). I gave up on running Pither's other missions after that, but may go back and finish based on this information.
I had not used auto-complete a mission in over 2 weeks, but was not given the option to drop the mission when I got frustrated over the blinkie I couldn't find, BTW.

What was the reason for the reduction if that wasn't it?

That answer is probably covered by either a Cryptic or NCsoft NDA. It should be left at that.
