Quote:It'll be totally different, because its not like your damage mitigation is aoe or more effective on both lower con foes and lower teir foes. Your damage is also going to change *alot* going from plinking on a +4 to a +0 or +1.
If I can both stand before and defeat a +4 EB, how is this unrelated to my ability to stand before and defeat far lesser opponents, even in greater numbers?
You have to throw out a +4 EB because something like a fire blaster or spine scrapper could two shot the aoe limit of +0 minions in roughly 2.5 seconds, while it may take 10 or 15 seconds on a defender with decent aoe right? -
I got 60 levels... by rolling 60 level ones
But seriously,
A second emp for pvping with 0-41.8
A scrapper 32-34
A second scrapper 32-35
A tank 41-46
Wound up not playing a cold def I had planned on
However, I saw a *lot* more levels than this, spent a lot of time on various 50's and made probably 250 mill inf before drops. Not that any of the drops I got were worth anything X( -
It was pretty rocky for everyone for about 5 minutes.

Quote:I agree, the spacing right now is the biggest thing that bothers me. It's like trying to read a large print book. If we get options to fix that, I will be happy with the change.
The biggest thing I've noticed is that the UI elements are in many ways more intrusive than the old boards.
More chrome and surrounding stuff makes the individual posts seem to get lost in the page.
The post separation space and the standoffs seem a lot greater, leading to more scrolling and makes it harder to see how a single post relates to the others.
The text contrast is alot lower as well. It would be great if we could design our own skins to allow for better readability and denser content. -
Quote:You can exemp to several different level brackets in the arena. More than there are pvp zone levels.
Heck if the devs put the ability to auto sk/exemp your toons to any level of your choise in the arena we wouldn't have a need for these organizations since all duels would take place in the arena! -

What that view ignores is that there are plenty of characters, especially those level 50 characters who see a lot of playtime, have so much wealth that they're happy to part with gobs of it not just to be more powerful, but literally because they have nothing else to do with it than give it away. Such level 50s are the engines that drive the market prices for nearly all goods.

Read: a good number of people will throw 25 or 30 million inf at multiple items listed for 14 million when the bid history is 15m, 15m, 15m, 15m, 30m without trying to get it for 15m. Or in the case of white salvage list something for 278 and then it goes for 3k-20k five minutes later. -
"Under 35" has been as little as 22 minutes sometimes, Red. If we consistently ran no retreat, I think 25-28 would be a good average. It is also out of 53 merits. This does not require temp powers.
However, there is still the forming stage and spawning him, which will add 15-30 minutes at least, typically.
A good lgtf with people you know may take 5-10 minutes to form. -
I'm not sure when it happened, I don't think it happened until after i14. It has been a while since I have been solo on something squishy without a lot of mez though.
I had a vague idea that perhaps oil slicks issues with failing to ignite could be related to 'powers fail after defeat'. I don't remember seeing any mention of it being worked on again, though. -

The thing i do have notice happening lately, though, is that foes will start acting even before my attack hits them. I can be at one mile away and use a ranged hold

Char, at least the blaster epic version, has done this for a very long time. -

Nop, always been this way. Effects are calculated after interrupt windows, or at activation for powers without interrupts. Hold, knock back, even killing the foe wont stop the effects from landing if the to-hit was successful.
Have been in a few double KOS due to this in the past.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've had double KO's as well. However, for any kind of significant duration (half, 3/4 sec) after death both my and NPC powers would terminate and have no affect when they landed. Most notable place for this was thunderstrike/total focus off crey tanks (the tohit is rolled at roughly the same up the leap starts) and medium-long ranged attacks with "slow" projectiles. -
I have been playing a mid range fire blaster recently, and I noticed that even after defeat NPC power effects are landing. I am taking damage or mez from defeated foes. Up until recently this wasn't the case afaik; if a power was still animating or the effect had not reached you, it was "canceled".
Has anyone else noticed this/am I imagining things?
I mentioned it to some people on global channels and UberGuy mentioned that if this had changed, the current behavior of repairmen on the STF could be related. -
Why?
There is a lot of evidence supporting the idea that cutting dairy, or at similar somewhat balanced source of calcium + magnesium + phosophorus + vitamin D, out can lead to a lot of bone issues later in life, especially osteoporosis. Lot of older folks have spontaneous breaks because of dietary problems.
You can't just go chew on a piece of limestone to get calcium, though most everything that says "added calcium!" just has ground limestone, and is probably cheaper than whatever its going in to replace. By itself, calcium will just go into bone spurs, which can be as big of a problem as getting a little too little.
There is also some new evidence suggesting that higher end levels of balanced calcium can improve chances of avoiding cancer. It makes some sense because calcium ions play a very big role in cellular messaging, and a lot of cancers have bastardized cellular signaling as at least part of the problem. -
The meows were fixed at 42 comm officers, minions with lt xp, like other said. However, they had double normal xp. Several people set up maps that had an animation which interrupted comm officers casting portals as well.
IMO, the biggest problem was that this and several other exploits were known and still allowed to run for close to 3 weeks for whatever reason. There was a publishing blackout, but it came after this had been going on for a week or more, and frankly, it was serious enough to break a blackout if you don't want your new (steam, shelf-space architect box) players immediately getting shuffled into farming content. Saying "There may be repercussions" a couple weeks after its been going full tilt, when the servers are more populated than they have been in a very long while and the heavy majority of people are engaged in such activities just isn't going to cut it. -
I dont think TF teams were at issue, though I may be wrong.

Depending on what you are referencing, some of it isn't made up. -
Not sure putting broadcast and tells complete with character names, something he did in the paper, counts as anonymous.
-
Whats amusing is that there is no mention of the baiting/calling out people he does in broadcast in his paper or in this article. Fair number of people I've seen respond to him respond because of the broadcast stuff, and its not just the "yay we win" he owns up to that he is throwing out there. Jibes and heckling people for doing the same thing he does are part of the show.
Also amusing, to this day I still see him every time I poke my head into freedom RV. He's still playing that way. Makes me think the paper was just a fringe benefit.
Paper is here if anyone wants to read it. I thought it was some kids term paper the first time I read it though.

Between the end of the 3rd bloom and killing him, the population went from ~27 unhidden to 40 unhidden
