It seems someones e-peen is going through a growth spurt, hehe. Hit me up sometime and I'll duel ya. RV or Arena, doesn't matter. We'll settle it like gentlemen shall we?
-
That's my forum account activation date, not game account. As for the game, I'm chugging along to two years. So while not as old as many, old enough to know my way around these parts

Sorry Kool, can't help myself...
Quote:You are making an assumption here. And you know what that means...Maybe you should spend less time reading the forums 24/7

Quote:Maybe then we'd have people on Guardian, just in general.
Quote:But you know that's too much to ask from any of you.
Wait. I think I have taken you down a few pegs in RV. Your drivel is becoming familiar.... -
*sigh* Why am I not surprised that's all you read? Try reading everything and comprehending it before posting more drivel. And if you don't like PvP on Guardian, what in the name of all that's Holy are you doing here?

Quote:Seconded.
I don't fear AE Babies, I loathe redundant stupidity. -
Quote:Good advice for the most part. Though depending on how you feel, you can try having a few of the "on" ones in there as well. What I've done at times is have 3-4 "off" lights followed by 1-2 "on" lights, repeating in that pattern. It can give a nice effect at times.
Make sure to choose the lamps that are "off" when placing. -
O_o
I get a kick out of how Shadow is volunteering me without even checking with me
Not that I wouldn't do it, but because I didn't even know he'd done it! -
Quote:Provided you don't have your floor on the lowest level already, you can set the plants and trees below the level of your floor to have it seem as if they're coming right out of the ground. Some dirt piles and the smaller grass-like plants around the trees and you won't even notice that they're coming up through concrete or stone.
(5) Plants that don't look like I baught them at Co-oP (have them actually root into the ground). -
You need to use a Slow Field, which is crafted from one of the Workbenches (Tier 1 or 2, can't recall). You then float the slow field above the floor surface to the desired height (or depth, if you will) of the "water" using a floor safe or desk. Remove the item used to raise it, and voila, you have a pool. You need to place the Slow Field in a Defensive type room though, as it is a Defensive Item.
EDIT: Floor coloring and texture will help make the effect more "watery", but really any surface will work. The effect just may not be as noticeable over some surfaces/colorings. -
I wouldn't count on it anytime soon. Last bits I read was that our supposed base dev (Sunstorm) is working on pretty much anything BUT base stuff, and he himself stated that there is no base work forthcoming. Maybe after Going Rogue is up and going could we finally see some of the long overdue base love, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it happening before, oh, Issue 25 or so.

Very nice job!
I hope you don't mind if I borrow from your idea for the spiral staircases, hehe. I've been looking for something better than what I had in my old library, and your idea pretty much takes the cake -
Quote:Or the larger CoT portals that spawn the Behemoths. That one would make a much better Stargate for my pet project than the ring of safes I currently have, heh.
3) Those CoT's ring portals that you can walk through. Don't care if they are functional, just be cool to have them in a base

Quote:Another one to add to this section. The Villain accolade Demonic is not properly showing progress towards the accolade. Showing a full bar, yet after checking badges obtained, still missing a couple. And hovering the mouse cursor over the bar is not showing the progress count (ie, 5 of 7 completed).
Badges
- Badges: Celebrant badge is displaying the wrong description
- The progress bar on the Firefighter and Fire Chief badges only track the number of Hellions defeated.

Sounds like it might be fun, and a little different, hehe. I'll try to show up with one of my scrappers. And as a side note, if I can finish getting my Infamy transferred over to blueside, I'd happily contribute some Influence towards the prizes (amount to be determined closer to the event date).

Quote:I'll admit it can be a nuisance to see in between those floors, but its not "extremely difficult". I have very few problems adjusting the camera view to allow me to see in between and allow me to place.Well, I had a floor of desks right over another floor of desks, both near the ceiling. It is extremely difficult to place items between the two without Hover.
This can be true wherever you have to place stuff in tight spaces high up. Otherwise objects can block the view.
Then again, most of my bases have two or three floors everywhere, with secret rooms stuck in every conceivable nook and cranny.

Of course, the best idea in this case would be to build floor by floor. Don't place the second floor until you've finished the first. Same idea for second floors and all the way up. -
Quote:Apparently you misunderstood me. I didn't say you were an AE baby, and assumption by you in that regard is a mistake. By me saying "us non-AE babies" I meant anyone that is not an AE baby.
If you're suggesting that I'm an AE baby, sorry, but I steer clear of AE because I'd rather TF all night. Been here for a year, and out of that, probably about 3 nights have been in AE farms. I know how to play my toons.
Quote:So... if you take this thread seriously, you might be an AE baby? -
Quote:Quick note on this one. I'm guessing you've already decorated the room you've got, but for future reference if you want a 3x3 decorative room, you can save some Prestige by using the Oversight Center which only costs 50k. It also has the added bonus of allowing a Storage bin, a Workshop item and the Control/Power Combo Unit (for a little extra Power/Control if needed).
I think the 3x3 Studio decorative rooms are only 100k too -
I can sympathize with the Prestige cost Paladin, hehe. Wait until you start getting really extravagant though. My new library is already over 1000 items and has cost an obscene amount when you factor in the cost of a 5x5 defensive room, 5 slow fields and the hundreds of bookshelves, blocks and other items that are going into the room. And its still not done yet XD
Nice job on the Telepads by the way. -
You know that this is already common knowledge (at least to us non-AE babies). Most farming is done for personal gain (levels, Inf, Prestige) rather than in the employ of RMT groups.

I hate to disappoint you Caleb, but as mentioned by Bru Tal, Hover is by no means necessary and it doesn't "separate the men from the boys". The only time I use hover or flight is when taking screenshots of my work. The rest is done just using the camera. And considering the things I've been able to do like that, I know that flight or hover are not a requirement.
