Quote:I remember reading an interview or a redname post stating that they had the ability to monitor such things because of the possibility of abuse. Never seen it being used or referenced to ever again, so either it never made it to live or they've chosen not to use it or can't.I know they have thought about it. I don't know if they did it or not. I presume they did, but may not have the resources to monitor that data continuously. Suffice to say, if you're leveling fifty times faster than the average rate, they can figure that out if they want to. The question is less whether they can detect it, and more whether they want to take action to stop it at that particular moment. In my personal opinion, they need to be more proactive, but I'm not the one that would have to monitor those statistics and then make daily decisions on what sort of actions to take. Keep in mind the devs do not, as a rule, have 100% control over the live game. Customer service does, through the CSAs and GMs and service operators. A lot can get confused in translation between dvs and customer service.
They should just have an internal marking system that will note how many times a particular toon is repeating the same mission over and over again in MA. Once it reaches a certain threshold it gets flagged for review and automatically starts lowering the xp gained (by that toon) from the critters in that mish to a lower value until it gets unflagged. -
I deny having any real life connection to Galetta.
Especially if the cops are asking. -

Quote:I don't agree that this is always the case, or even most of the cases. If you are talking about basic by rote play, I'd suppose it is the safest route, but not faster, not by a long shot.1. The tank makes the team.
2. The other people on the team can ruin everything.
3. The support toons determine speed, not the method.
The basic evidence can be seen in the overall times of ITF...I would highly doubt that you'd be able to get a sub 20 minute run using herding techniques versus steamroll. -
You're a little late but I will accept your salutation nonetheless.

Or else we can't have nice things.

Quote:Hmm...how often does it happen when it does? Does it bite you during the same play session after a while, or does it only happen when you launch the game?I can't speak for anyone else, but my issues are intermittent. Might not have any trouble for a couple days, then black screen all the time for a while, etc. So it might be a bit tricky to be sure if you are having the trouble or not unless you give it some time.

Pets that respond to attack in BG mode are still giving the MM a BG buff (ie. the damage is still split).

I would've wished him a happy birthday but then he'd get the impression that I actually liked him.

The vidiot map pack installer worked fine after I renamed my CoH to the default. I noticed the data folder is called "Data" in the map pack but the Corva one is "data". Both weren't installed at the same time.
No issues with either one, so I'm not sure why anyone else is having any issues.
Testing was done on a 2008 Mac Pro 10.6.5 with a 5870. Only thing I noticed was the cursor was the Mac cursor in full screen but changed to the CoH cursor (albeit colour inverted) when swapping to windowed, but that is likely the change to something else since removing the data folder still made the Mac cursor behaviour stay.
