  1. Storms are now very meh.... due to anyone being able to mez you and said mez dropping hurricane.

    wait a minute.. You want a tier 5 blast to have a 2 minute cooldown... It isn't the nuke power(which now sucks with the I13 changes btw), if you wanted to take this power though you can get the recharge of the nuke down to about 140ish secs. What are you smoking where you would want the tier 5 power to have a cool down of almost equal time as the nuke.

    and you do know that every blast set's has 80ft range on most of their powers. So if everyone was playing archery blasters would you want all of their ranges nerfed to 40 feet.

    How about this, get on a team with someone who can taunt and let them stack that lovely -150%range on the blasters. They will be raging in a very short time.

    Your suggestions are all bad except for removing 75% of the npc's in RV. Judging by your suggestions you must play a melee'r and an MM that wants people to stand and toe-to-toe fight your melee'r and you want body guard mode all the time for your MM and people should not be able to use the strategy of tping the MM away from his pets so that he is out of bodyguard mode and much easier to kill.
  3. yeah, my blaster on test has PFF and tatics, but still no phase, the only one of our blasters that had PFF and phase was Mage, I believe. I am going to respec it on live into that with the i19 respec and still don't think I will take phase, not entirely sure though.

    I wouldn't take phase and hibernate, and not a huge fan of slotting kinetic crashes in power thrust.

  5. As hard as it may be to believe, there are 2 leagues going on over there on Champion. The PvPEC 3v3-5v5 league and then the one that Bud and some others set up, which has 6 teams of 13 and 4 or so people awaiting another draft to be picked up on a team.

    um...yeah, these are the PvP boards, not the I can not be hit by anything in the game except HAMI and Recluse...I will say that anyone of our PvP spec'd Blasters would be able to rip right through your softcapped defense. So please go post your PvE story in the shield scrapper forum where someone may care.

    From the OP's original post, looking for a build that would work for both, and a dueling fiteklub build without sj is just not really very viable in an arena setting, and not much better in a zone. I am going to bet the guy/girl is going to be PvPing in the zones more than asking for arena duels.

    Dueling is stupid, but even if you are going to make a dueling build you are going to need SJ, unless of course you are going to lol fiteklub just stand there and trade attacks. If he wants to play this in a zone then SJ is pretty much a requirement and by-the-by those sets are there for the....wait a minute....oh that is right, the set bonuses and the one I made has perma dull pain, so it is always hp capped, reconstruction recharging in 16ish seconds if I remember correctly. Procing out quick strike is the way to go, it will do more damage over time with the procs hitting.

    It is built like a blaster since really that is about what they are now, just spam CS. Mog up every 75ish seconds. Between MoG, perma dull pain, reconstruction, instant healing and hibernate, the OP should mostly never die. I can't wait to see your lol fightklubber build so hurry up with it.

    If these are all terrible ideas for PVP, does anyone have a suggestion other than a Psi/em blaster or a /regen scrapper?
    as neeto said, the emp, the PB, and the dark/rad, and really none of those are very optimal in this version of PvP. Look in this forum for PB builds but it will cost you a fortune, well most PvP builds will but a PB is very costly. If you want a viable toon that you can really have fun on, people will want you on the team, etc. Then roll a blaster, Psi/Em being the best out there right now but Fire/Em and Sonic/Em are very good also or a stalker, a */wp stalker due to them being very easy to hp cap with minimal accolades due to high pain tolerance. Elec/wp or spines/wp, really the primary doesn't matter since all you need is the buildup, AS, and placate and then mako patron for sharks, again lots of stalker builds in these forums, just search. Once you get the feel of PvP on one of these toons you can bring in one of your not as optimal toons, and will know some of the PvP mechanics and one of them may end up being fun for you to play but if you start off on one of them, you may get very discouraged and not want to do it any more. Oh and to answer the other question, the mace/wp brute...not good in PvP, I wouldn't even recommend it.

And yes I remember it well and on multiple occasions because it is usually something we laugh about on vent. How much you are "contributing" when you are dying.
  13. And like many people have said, if you are new you should "learn" to PvP on something that is not a lol/regin, you will pick up so many bad habits but if you insist and this will need to be redone when I19 goes live.

    No, this is one place where your build can actually make a difference. Do you build for max hp, or something else, this is a choice that the players should make, not have everyone have tanker hp, if that would be the case then what would be the advantage to playing something like a tank or brute or taking the time to max builld a toon for max hp..... this IMO is just a bad idea.

    um.. Howl, very skippable, You forgot amplify as a must have. Here I made a build. it is 5 hp away from the hp cap as long as you have all the +hp accolades. This is a great debuffing/offensive type defender with all the -resis,-to hit and -def. When I-19 goes live and fitness is inherent then you could look to add powers that are eh soso at best, like choking cloud, em pulse, dreadfull wail etc. but here ya go, yeah it would be a bit expensive but not that bad, it only uses 2 Lotg 7.5's and then a full set of Apocs and 5 absolute amazements but the rest are pretty affordable and with hero and villian merits the Lotg 7.5's and numina and miracle procs are pretty easily attainable. nonetheless here ya go:

    Was, being the key word in that statement. They, for some reason, had a server limit of like 20 people, which made practices almost impossible, and the copy tool being broken for months, pretty much shutdown any attempt we had made to re-establish a ladder there.

    How about just PvP to PvP..............not to farm PvPIO's. I PvP quite a lot and have only had 3 drops, and this is from all the arena time be it in KB's, Hours of Team Practices, and then the zone lulz whenever I was bored.

    well I don't have a build for one of these made, but you need to move the kismet proc into a toggle you are actually going to have on for it to work or you are going to have to click invis every 2 mins. Same with the Gaussian Proc, slot it in Focused Acc. I would slot power siphon with 5 Adjusted Targetings. You need to slot lotg procs into stealth, and invis, and you need to take leaping for vertical movement and to slot a lotg proc into combat jumping and a microfilament or 2 in sj same with ss and put that stealth io in sprint. That is just off the top of my head from the quick look I did. Search this forum, I believe someone has already posted a km/regen build, because this one that you posted needs lots of work.
