The police scanner is just another way of accessing missions. They aren't linked into story arcs so you can pretty much do them whenever.

At the lvl you're at once you've done three of the missions available to you from the Police scanner you will get the option to go and save Atlas Park Bank from a robbery (Safeguard Mission). These are pretty good fun and you get a temporary power once you've completed it. As you progress through the levels you have to do a few more missions to access the Safeguards.

In all seriousness... SOs do improve this power a fair amount. However, carni is right it only effects minions unless you have a power in your secondary to stack it with (or unless you are teamed with someone who can provide a stacking power).

Looks like we don't need to worry now that they have put winter back.

Clear mind has a fairly quick recharge so I don't think it's that one. The other two single target buffs you get (Adrenalin boost and Fortitude) have long-ish recharges, adrenalin boost being the longest...

Both are fab buffs tho...

Perhaps... however the majority of times where I have seen people call themselves Pure Empaths they have gone with the only one attack power (maybe two if they have the nuke)

I wouldn't call myself pure and I have all the primary powers, and they are all slotted up.

Most pure empaths consider themselves pure if they have only taken their obligatory attack and then everything else from primary + useful pool powers (although many Empaths who wouldn't call themself pure also have builds like this...).

Not 100% sure on this but I think a toon of mine that had the mission had it removed when I logged them in last night...

Having taken a kinetic without a travel power into zone PvP I think you will be wanting a real travel power. It's too annoying to not be able to get away quickly...

Not sure that you need to 6 slot fulcrum shift... it recharges fairly quickly anyway...

Better off slotting Transfusion: 2 x acc, 2 x recharge, 2 x heal and Transference: 2 x acc, 2 x recharge, 2 x endmod

If you are sticking with no travel power I would change one of those jumps in Inertial Reduction to a recharge and as hammerfall says add some recharges to siphon speed rather than those slows.

Is this a solo PvP build? Your team will love you more if you have speedboost for them... I imagine

One thing I've noticed with my stormy is that she doesn't actually get mezzed all that frequently (I don't have acrobatics)... Hurricane seems to do a fantastic job of keeping me protected.. so you may find you want to change the recharges just because your toggles aren't dropping all that often.

And I will back up what Disco_Freak says. I always wanted to play at least one of each defender type. I rolled a storm and fell in love and now all the other defender types just seem a bit... underpowered. I haven't been able to go back and play a defender properly since (though I have rolled a new storm defender). Stormys are just too much fun

I'd drop the recharge and change it into a slow. Maybe even add another slot and have 2 slows. This will help with stopping scattering the mobs when you put down freezing rain.

The only reason I can really see that you need those recharges is because you will run out of endurance and have it keep falling off Personally I would remove the 6th slot and change one of the recharges to a 2nd end redux.

I've never really noticed this needing accuracy. I would swap those accuracys to defence debuffs

I would swap a recharge for an end redux.

I've never really noticed this needing accuracy either. I'd change the accuracys to recharge

Such a useful power for a defender - I would try and take this at 28 when it becomes available.

The only other comment is the number of slots on gale. I tended to find once I had hurricane I used gale very very rarely. Having 2 accuracy on it would probably be enough

As this will be the last outing before Christmas I suggest we meet in Pocket D and run through the christmas missions. Perhaps we could then get in a little skiing before retiring to the lodge for a glass of mulled wine*

*alternativly we could just pop back to Faultline after the xmas mishes and open presents!

True. But with Hurricane, Tornado and to a lesser extent the cloud you are going to be fairly hard to resist. If this was then a defender with energy blast... that storm defender would be laughing
