I understand their reasoning and agree with it. I definitely want to be able to play MA with my premium friends that aren't of high enough levels to play it (with rewards), but not at the cost of functionality for every other player in the game.

I imagine things'll change further now that we will not get our tokens until the end of our subscription periods.

I said it on the Ustream : You guys should suffer- er, play through the Doc Quaterfield TF during your game-a-thon.

A character's life for me starts at 23. I just can't skip the low 20's arcs. Field Agent Keith Nance, Special Agent Jenni Adair, Roy Cooling, Vincent Ross, Darrin Wade, that other guy... I love these arcs. Well, except for the glue bombs. Seriously, whose idea was it to put those in EVERY mob on long maps? Whoever it is, you should be shot. Out of a cannon. Into pig slops. Which explode into poo.
After I finish those arcs though I'm back on the leveling train until 31 where I finally start getting SLOTS! Slots! I love me some slots.
I doubt it's just me but I have a definite love for the redside story arcs from level 35+. It's not uncommon for me to go redside and stay there long enough to do some of those great arcs (and some of the best tips in the game... seriously, I have toons that I keep Rogue but just do Villain tips with because they are just so good) and get my patrons before I go back blueside. -
Also, some Gamestops are selling the boxed Going Rogue for $15.... that's a very sound investment for new accounts right there.
-
Run missions with him, that's about the only way. Do your missions and he might end up getting high-level SOs... though I don't remember the drop mechanics. I know recipe levels depend on the foes, but not sure if SOs are linked to character's level or the mob's level. I'd guess that they're at the character's level, sadly.
-
I really wish they'd put it back in, but maybe make it so that the license did not automatically give you slots.
-
If you'd asked me this morning I would have said, "Yeah, you can set ambushes to trigger at certain specific times during a timed mission." I thought it was in there... but either I'm missing it or I was wrong.
....did a search and didn't come up with anything. This has been brought up before, hasn't it?
I have a comedy arc I'm working on now that has rebellious cooks in the Arachnos kitchens laying siege to Lord Recluse's dining room. His personal chef is up in arms over it and needs you to defeat them QUICK before Lord Recluse (the Hungry) comes in looking to kill everyone that's setting his din-din time back a notch. -
I logged onto an old character on Virtue just to see what I had on her. I got the little popup saying I had stuff to claim, so I opened up the account items and hit "Claim all". While that was going, I opened my options window because my windows were grossly oversized and loaded the windows settings I have saved. Right before I clicked the button I saw that the choice window for which non-combat pet (Mekman, Demon, etc) popped up... after I clicked to load my window settings the choice window was gone and I did not receive any of the other choices. The 'choice' rewards are no longer listed in the Account Items area of my email either on this character.

*looks at you*
Now that that nit has been picked, let's test this, shall we? -

I have always found myself griefed far more often by AE Naz-...um, not-so-nicies than by farmers. For instance, I had an arc called "Malpractice, the Undead, and You". I actually still have it, but this was back when I was 'looking for feedback' on it. It got a lot of 1- and 2-star ratings because "Puns are not solid writing" and "Mobs are a little bit spread out on the first map", as if I have a real say in where they spawn on that particular outdoor map. And yes, that particular map had a storyline reason for its use. I just wish I could have added screaming civilians to it running hither and thither, it would have worked better.
I agree with the "Like" option, no "Dislike". I don't agree with the inability to rate an arc before you finish it. Let's face it, some arcs are freaking terrible. You *should* have to complete at least half of it before you can rate it lower than 3 stars.... but the "Like" system would be much more preferable. -
Quote:That really annoys me, too. You can buy it as a free player, meaning one month of access, but after that (since you're a premium) you can not get it again unless you spend a LOT more money.2- According to: http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/about_...cho.php#tabs-4 the only way to get AE access is to unlock via Paragon Rewards or have a VIP subscription.

You click on an open circle/slot. You have to fill the previous tier before you can begin slotting the next tier, with the possible exception of tier 9 (which is just consumables) but don't quote me on that. I personally would not waste tokens on those consumables... nothing really seems like it's worth it.

It was described to me as " 'Lost' with Dinosaurs!" which translates as a 'pass' for me.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Yes, by Crom!
Seriously. There were days I would log on to a character and there would be over 300 - that is three hundred! - emails from spammers.
Tells were just as frequent and much more annoying in that they jarred you out of what you were doing. -
Communication is key. If you thought that them doing something else would benefit the team it is your duty to say so. You could still leave afterwards. Now they are not going to have any better clue how to play.
Time's Juncture is brutal. It's even more brutal stacked. If you'd pointed this out the team could probably have done better, so long as the mobs were all bunched.
You could have also suggested lowering the difficulty.
....or you could be like me and *never* accept blind invites. EVER. -
Getting this message on login:
"You are no longer affected by the Metric Activated Reward Throttle." -

Quote:I just don't see the point of the extra costume slots when you can save/load costumes quickly and easily. If costume slots go on sale, I know what I'm buying me as a birthday present...
Edit: Sales end in 2.5 hours. I am excited to see what comes up next... hopefully the points and rewards token I'm owed for my subscription's renewal on the 21st... -
Quote:This worries me a little bit as we have had a long-running thread on how to change in-game sounds. This is mostly people muting sounds that are disruptive (Portal Corps warble, Hasten's sound, some of the Sonic Blast sounds and Sonic Resonance's bubble...), is this going to be disallowed in the future?

I'm continually trying to update Mids today. I know he said 'Monday'... but is that 'Monday' in Israel? If so, he's ahead of me by a few hours.... so just maybe... maybe...
