I'm in Sharkhead Isle right now standing next to an NPC named Submariner Janus, who is standing on a dock next to a submarine. Who is he? When select him, he says, "Sorry buddy. You and I shouldn't really seen be talkin'. Come back when you've decided to make some 'life choices'. I'd be curious to know how that works out for you."

I've learned to be a patient person and to look for deals where I can.
I'll get the collector's edition and just wait to use my dual pistols. I cannot afford to give up a month just to play dual pistols early. And I'll probably buy it on Amazon.com and have it mailed to me. At $40, that should get me free shipping.
Just like with buying the Mac Edition vs. the Mac Edition Item pack. Pay $20 and get a month of play or pay $10 and get just the item pack. Buying the full Mac edition allowed me to get a month of play for $10.
edit: The thought just came to me that the standard Going Rogue expansion is more than the cost of City of Heroes at present. So if someone new were to join between now and the next few months, they would be paying a total cost between $50 and $60 if they decided to get Going Rogue as well. Someone may have already mentioned this so forgive me if I brought this up again. Of course, they can wait until July and get it all for $40. The only reason this occurred to me is because my cousin is planning on playing after he gets his new computer which will most likely be in March. -
Going Rogue might not be Issue 17 as many people point out, but City of Heroes: Going Rogue will probably be considered both an issue and an expansion, just as City of Villains was - Issue 6: Along Came A Spider. The expansion part is the 'Going Rogue' component of the game. However, both City of Heroes and City of Villains will be affected by the launch. The term 'Issue' is not just an update to game but it is supposed to represent the continuation of the overall story of the game like the next issue of a comic book. The launch of City of Heroes would be considered Issue 0. Just my 2 cents

Digging up an idea it appears many have had before me.
This was an idea I had when the Mission Architect went into Beta Testing and was further inspired by the upcoming Power Customization features. The basic idea is allowing Heroes, as an Epic Power option, to have a sidekick pet. The powers for levels 41, 44, 47, and 49 would be devoted to this singular concept. In some ways, it would be like having a mastermind pet. The first power calls forth the sidekick and grants the sidekick 2 basic attack options: range and melee. The next 3 powers would be upgrades to the sidekick though, unlike a mastermind pet, do not need to be activated via Equip and Upgrade like Robot Masterminds. The upgrades would be automatic once the power was selected. The Power upgrades would include options such as defense, travel, and utility. Defense would be to increase the sidekicks defense, either in avoiding damage or taking it. Travel would allow the sidekick to follow the hero appropriately. Utility would be the option that reflects the AT of the hero. It complements the hero in such a way most of the epic powers do, giving the sidekick an ability that the hero does not that will aid the hero.
I suppose this idea has appealed to me because my first AT was a mind controller, the only controller set lacking a pet. When City of Villains came out, masterminds were given a large allotment of pets. And when CoV went to epic levels, every villain had the ability to have a pet henchperson if they desired. Since it does not really make sense for Heroes to have a Longbow on call to them, having the ability to have a more customizable sidekick seems like a possible answer. The option could even be unlocked as a story arc.
