So this only started happening after i17 came out today. I play for about 2 minutes and it stops and "Assertion Failure" pops up. Then the game quits. I have NO idea why.

I'm running an iMac on Snow Leopard.
My graphics card is: ATI Radeon X1600

I've had to restart my computer many times because it would freeze and the game itself many MORE times!

I've deleted the City Of Heroes Preference file, flushed the terminal and verified files!
What do I do??? I just wana enjoy Ultra Mode and cute kitty tails and stuffs.

Neither. Sometimes it's when I'm about to select which toon to play or right after I choose them. Then the current section of the background music just repeats and repeats

Now the game just starts freezing and I have to unplug my computer and start all over.
It'll happen at the login screen or if i'm just flying around etc etc.

I have. Every time i've started up the game, i've verified the files and nothing seems to work.

So I really wana test Dual Pistols out in the Training room! However, when I download the test client, it just loads and plays as if it were the original application.

Anything i'm doing wrong?

I download test server, install it, load it up, and when I start to play, it's all the same. And I've been unable to try dual pistols with the "test" download.

So the website has mentioned we can pre purchase the game and some special goodies before the actually release date. Where do we go to pre-purchase it though?

Also, if we were to pre purchase the Going Rogue: Complete Edition, will we be able to get the new power sets in March and April?

When I read the information on the official site, it stated the pre purchasing the regular version will get you the powers. Wouldn't it make sense to if you got the Complete Edition, you'd get the powers as well as the goodies stated you would get with that?

Ello all! I'm new to the boards and I'm trying to get more active in them. I've started on being more active on my CoH Faces account but wanted to give a try on the boards as well!

Anything I should know about as far as social rules? Do's/ Not Do's?

Also, got a concern. I'm big on playing on teams, mainly because I use Controllers or Defenders, so doing solo stuff is never much fun for me. Therefore, i always try to hop on a team whenever I go online. Now with Heroes it's a bit easier. But Villains is another story.

The highest Villain i have is lvl 2. Simply because I can't find any fun in them. Now I know i couldn't be this disappointed unless I was doing something wrong. Any tips on fun builds or cool SG's out there?
P.S. I'm big on RP.

I was wondering, what would pass as a fun signature and/or avatar without being tacky?

My avatar right now is my main hero and it says "Happy Valentines Day!" Would that be socially acceptable?

I try to avoid PvP as much as possible simply because i suck at it!

I favor controllers. I heard Fire/Kin would be the best choice for that. But i'm not too fond of fire or kinetics for that matter so are there any other troller builds that'd work? Right now i'm working on Grav/Storm troller. Any tips for that as well?


Oh also, what are you're thoughts on Elec/Elec blasters?

Well yeah. Training enhancements are not the most powerful. So i was saying that Training enhancments are weaker then Single Origin or Dual Origin enhancements. Of course IO's are the most powerful
