I will admit, my preference for this set extends from the use of plam-strikes. I always view plam strike-centric fighting as "pimp-fu" something done by someone more.. refined than regular brawling and grappling, who somehow exterts full force with light strikes.
Think Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee -
Well it seems to be much more ranged/with some good Aoe, if I'm not mistaken, it has some kind of
"gimmick" effect that Castle hinted at, similar to combos, ammo switching, e.t.c. -
If that ball attack is a nuke, I'd accept the slowness of it, the rest looks groovy to me.
-
I'm surprised,, with it's range, there isn't an assault set for kin melee as well, seems like a no-brainer to me.

Quote:Actually, that would make sense as Kinetic Melee, and I'd love the heck out of it.Here I have provided the VERY FIRST look at Kinetic Melee:

Also check those new Ultra Mode graphics! -
Forgot to add in my MM Sets
Ninja/ Trick Arrow
Necromancy/ Dark miasma
Robots/ Force Feild. -
I've decided to move away from my home server of Virtue to test some things out for kicks.
My plan is to build each character on that server with very direct, obvious power choices and ATs, Usually I try very hard to create interesting combos, trying to put together sets as an example, Here's what my plans are:
Ninja Blade Ninjutsu Stalker with ninja run because, wel, duh
Dark Melee Dark Armor Stalker (Yeah yeah, there's other dark options, but all that darkity dark just SCREAMS stalker) with an undefined movement set
Trick Arrow/ Archery Defender
Martial Arts/ Willpower Scrapper Ninja run
Broadsword/ Sheild Defense Scrapper
Super Strength/ INvuln Brute or Invuln Super Strength Tanker, convince me of either one! with Super Jump
Every single matching set of "elemental" powers, ice/Ice, Fire/Fire, e.t.c.
any other obvious pairs you guys could suggest?
Somebody give me more ideas! -
I would imagine that "flagging" certain spawn points in that way would be a massive undertaking. Think of every alley, dark space, or underpass in the game, now think about the random nature of spawns, I wonder if the devs CAN make spawn points in the cities that dictate the behavior of NPCs for example.
I think they might be able to, considering people said they could make them only spawn in certain areas before, and right now they also only do the carjacking animations near cars, the door-breaking animation near doors, and other things like that, so, I wonder just how possible something like this is, not to change the number of spawns in the streets, jusst change their behavior out there. -
Okay, so we just had our first night, and, despite some complications on my part, things went well. We had four members today, so we're still accepting four more.

Cause it's only racism if it's blatantly obvious.

Quote:There's a breakdown in communication here. The appropriate response would be:
"Wait, so are you saying that <fill in the blanks>? Really?"
If the response is "Yeah, I am!" then, by all means, punch him in the mouth. But in pretty much every case I've ever asked that, and I ask this almost every time I see something I suspect is really bad, the response has been "Wait, what? No! What I meant was <fill in the blanks>!"
I realise that I don't always practise what I preach, but that's still, in my eyes, the best approach.
If YOU say something/do something bad to SOMEONE ELSE and they are UNHAPPY with that, even if you didn't MEAN it, what would be YOUR appropriate response? -
Quote:For clarity, I'm understanding it to be:I can swear I heard something akin to...
Mission in Paragon = Good.
Mission in RI = Evil
Mission in Praetoria = Lean toward one side or the other.
As that's the whole point of the expansion, I don't know why they'd give up this option, and make it available to everyone without it.
Buying Going rogue allows you to
Side switch
AND
Go to Praetoria.
not
ONLY side switch BY going to Praetoria. -
Quote:Where did you hear this? I'd like to see exactly where it is stated thatI have said this a couple of times already, but I am not talking about Praetorian characters. Yes, your comments about someone born and raised in Praetoria are 100% true, but the issue I had from day one concerns the Primal earth Heroes who come to Praetoria to engage in the side switching mechanic. They need to have a reason to join the side that will lead them to darkness, and I truly believed it would be Tyrant that would do that. However, now I realize that it will be the Resistance who is much more likely to show the Heroes what committing crime is like, even though it will be crime 'for a good reason', the destruction of Tyrant's rule.
"In order to change one's moral alignment, you will have to go to praetoria"
It makes no sense that anyone would have to travel to an alternate dimension to change their mind about things.
As I understand it, heroes or villains will have to take certain missions to alter their alignment one way or the other.
As an example, a Villain might take Hardcase's mission and shift more towards heroic as they become more mercenary, and take more mercenary work that is actually heroic.
I know that I have to own Going Rogue to change my alignment, but I don't see how I have to go to Praetoria while owning GR to change sides. -
Quote:So, if someone says something horrible to someone else, but didn't MEAN to, or didn't THINK it was all that bad, the appropriate response would be?
As with most uses of language, one should never bog down into fine semantics at the cost of ignoring context, because it's never a question of what we SAY, it's a question of what we MEAN. -
Quote:I'm talking about the Ghouls, who's to say that they are
I guess you never took a hint from names like "Embalmed Cadaver" or anything... no, they couldn't possibly be undead
a: THe Praetorian version of anthing we have, and not their own thing
B: Undead. Instead of mutated, enhanced, or otherwise alive but unnatural.
SPOILER
and the Vhaz technically are'nt undead anyway. -
... I totally thought we were waiting till next Tuesday
sorry.
-
Who says they're undead in any capacity?
-
Quote:HA!
Thanksgiving: Blue Steel says “You’re welcome.” -
Or. OR!... they could just have Fury....
-
I would really like the ghouls to be Unrelated to the Praetorian government entirely.
They'd be an exmaple of how imperfect the praetorian government really is, Like the syndicate still being a crime organization in Praetoria.(I WANT TO SEE THEIR MOTORCYCLES!)
Praetorian PR Rep:"Those Resistance leaders are crazy! we have no crime or war or trouble in Praetoria!"
"What about the Syndicate?"
*PCHEw!*
*carries dissenter off*
PR Rep: NO trouble!
"Well.... what about the Ghouls?"
PRE rep:"......"
*PCHEW*
