I tried to talk him into at least the 5770 but he had a very hard budget of $600 so that's where he ended up. Even atthat he is EONS ahead of what he was using.

I'll find out his resolution and get back to you... I know he has a 22" lcd widescreen.. mostly because I bought it for him for Christmas last year.

Yeah I told him about that. He has it all set up and checked it all before plugging it in. Came in on time and in good working order.

My friend just bought this computer this week. It has the ATI 5670 in it. I know the 5770 is the recommended starter for Ultra Mode but with this setup what things should he be turning down or off? I have Nvidia so I'm not a heck of a lot of help ATI wise.

Yep the gloves and boots scream Rock Star to me. I think I'd like to see this with a pants option though. lol The axe lookes like it could be used in place of the Crab mace as well. Another great look Z!

I've purposely avoided reading anything on this until the trailer came out. I'm, glad I did because it doesn't look too bad. I like the time period feel of it. Though some things obviously are odd, I will chalk it up to being an alternate reality version for the movie. On the otherhand I would have preferred some more obvious shows of powers. It took me a couple of viewings to see some of the more interesting ones.

One big thing that had me worried was Beast and it's obvious they are going to show him going into his second mutation(the blue fur and feline face in case you didn't know is NOT his original look). I like this because I always liked that in the beginning the X-Men "looked" relatively normal. It wasn't until years later and secondary mutations came along that the obvious mutations were used for the "heroes".

Personally I never had a problem with Nightcrawler's father being Azazel. When they first started showing children of mutants they tended to use the fact that those children had powers similar to both parents. Hence the blue skin and teleporting powers. Even later on in the Exiles one reality's version of Nightcrawler had a daughter who was purple yet teleported. I think it really makes sense here as well considering one of the coolest characters of the X-Men films was Nightcrawler yet because of talent/studio disputes we didn't get him for long. The second X-Men film was my favorite because of Nightcrawler and the breif glimpse of Colossus' powers(that was the second movie right? it's been a awhile since I watched them all).

So all in all I am pleasantly surprised and pleased with this trailer. I didn't read the X-Men: First Class comics so I don't know if this compares or if they just decided the name fit and went with that. Either way I hope this is a good movie with plenty of action and good story.

I really had hopes for this pack. Was excited even. Then I saw the "bull" head. One of my main toons and one I'm known for in game, Bully the Clown, will not be transitioning to this head. I guess what I hoped for was to have animal heads that we could add face details to. If I could use the bull head with the clown make-up for instance maybe then I'd be happy. But just making a static bull head that I can add a nose ring to or not doesn't do much for me. I will probably buy this pack still but mostly for the Beast Run and the smoke aura (because Bully the Clown smokes - fire/ss afterall)....

Also some upper leg options would be very nice. But I will say the bird head with various beaks is nice and apparently you can do some coloring to them... Maybe I'll be more excited when I get a chance to mess with it more. Until then....

Still waiting on my "Clown" pack and customizable MM henchmen.

Thanks CR! That was one thing I noticed was the shading alot on this one and the scans don't really do it justice. He had a bit of a problem with proportions on these two. I'm sure if you look closely you can tell we did some adjustments to the legs on all of the characters using PhotoShop. They were a bit small and the waists are a bit long. But again I think he did a great job.

He still prefers pencil to the tablet but I'm trying to encourage him to use the tablet more. If anyone has some good tutorials for him I'm sure he'd love to read over them.

He's now 13 and just an inch an a half shorter than me, so if I don't say nice things he will push me around... j/k

I like the triple hexagon now that Johnny is gone. It shows they are technically not filling his spot... sorta... I also like the white and black. It's very simple and clean.

I haven't read an FF comic in forever so I have no clue who all those people are in the second pic. And why is Spidey there? Just to take up the smart mouth role? Heck make one of those kids do that. And what's up with the parrots? Did Jimmie Buffett drop by for a visit?

It's been a while since I've updated this and Jr. has been at me to post up some of his new items. Since we were home again due to bad weather I took the time to scan a couple pieces. I wish I could scan better so if anyone has some tips and pointers please feel free to add them here or point me in a direction.
