Not that it matters per Wassy's above post BUT since I brought it up.... Foo got a half point because someone listed him as a 4th place. Caemgen declared he was the winner at some point anyway and Suichiro has already won next month's contest out of pure joy for ribbons.

Top section is the actual points talley NOT the place they were chosen. The bottom half breaks down how many of each place they were voted.... It made sense in my head when I did it I swear!

OMGosh I'm going to say it..... I agree with Suichiro.

Just make it a monthly Art Jam type thing with a theme and be done with it. People can join or not. If it burns out it burns out and maybe this type of thing just isn't viable here anymore....

I have to say one of the things I used to like about Nazghul's costume contests was the fact that he chose a winner and explained his reasoning behind it. I really don't remember much drama from that. Also it did have a prize but it was a prize that he personally did as opposed to just giving money or awarding art from someone else. Which I realize that isn't an option for people like me with no talent but it's also one of the MANY reason's I wouldn't run something like this that has a prize attached to it.

I have to be honest - I'm a little confused on the instant winner thing anyway. CR won immunity for this month(due to his win last month) which basically brought it down to Shia and Pyro being voted on this month. Pyro dropped out. Therefore final battle would be CR vs Shia. Unless I missed something. Am I missing something?

The thesaurus comes in handy as does language translators. I use the translators because many words are based in latin so the rough spelling is close enough for the average person to get the meaning.

Other than that it's pretty random. I usually come upon a name or a general name while designing the costume. But I've had some really randomness that ended up being fun - Bully the Clown(fire aura/ss tank), Ace N. Hole(Thugs/Dark), Patriot-Act(dp/nrg blaster), Justiqua(spines/regen scrap whose secret ID is Shaniqua Walker after a childhood friend), etc.

BUT PowerStream came about because I REALLY wanted to be PlasmaStream for my first toon and when it was taken PowerStream is what my then 7 year old said I should name him. So when in doubt ask a kid. LOL

Well "The American" did look good too but I have been waiting for Machete for a while now and I never saw Grindhouse.

I saw Machete on Friday first thing. I took my wife and my 13 year old. While the "phone" scene was way more than I should have let my kiddo see, the rest of the movie was great. I loved the feel of it and I loved the story line. I didn't feel it was a "hate whitey" movie. Yes racism has a part in it but more than anything it has a right vs wrong view that deal more with politics than it does race.

But if you're sensitive to white guys being bad guys then don't see this movie. Simple as that. But being a white guy, it didn't bother me one iota! I highly recommend this movie.

I tell ya Air-Walker was not easy for me to do in COH. The name invoked something completely different in my head. Then I read up on the character and didn't know where to take it. I decided to go the more cyborg-ish route. Hope it works...

Right off the belt doesn't work but because of clipping with those pants options I couldn't find anything that worked better... I really wanted to pay homage to the charcter without just totally duplicating it either.

Anyway good to have ya back Naz, though now I'm going to spend more time in the CC than in game!

Great new arts Caem. Love the Eddy colors as always. The Carnival piece reminds me of a 70s x-ploitation/b-movie poster! Which after seeing Machete this weekend, I'm really digging!

I just found the stud finder app for the iPhone. That is pretty darn cool! I guess I knew about the magnetic sensors because of the compass and what not. But part of me just assumed it was based on satellite position.... sometimes I feel slow. LOL

I love my iPhone. BUT I will say I have far too many dropped calls than I'd like. More than my old plain phone? Not by much, but that's mostly carrier problems and where I am in relation to the towers and a nearby airport. I use my iPhone a ton for my job where I am on location a lot and for the most part am able to get enough signal I'd say 95% of the time.

I feel ya 2short! Mine is 2 months from being 13 and is almost my height and just asked me to buy his first car..... a 1969 Camaro... Thank goodness they want too much for it and my son has a sensible side! And yes it makes me feel old. So does the fact that instead of playing video games with me he wants to go work out at the gym....

Is the bright green paint a flourescent? That would be cool if it glowed in the dark!! Creepy but cool. And I love creepy clown types!

Now being that this is my vote, I don't think you should DQ yourself Pyro, you've done some really good stuff in the past and this is no different. Everyone has had time issues, it happens. Just sit back and see how it finishes. You never know a couple 1st place votes could have big effects here!
