  1. If I remember correctly she went off to college to brighten her future and all! I believe COH was not in the budget either.

She was no doubt amazingly talented! It'd be nice if this resurrection brought her back though!
  2. Grats Henri!

I personally would have gone with Mariner's piece only because it really feels like a matchstick. I think with the exception of myself, Bubba, you may have gotten some of the top costume designers on this one! Very cool!

Maybe I should find a toon for Naz to use as the next costume makeover! LOL
  3. WOW! I could never come up with a decent idea for a Crab. I have yet to make and keep any EAT. But this is great! It ties in with game lore and looks cool as ll get out! The art is way awesome as well! I get a creepy cyborg kid feel! LOVE IT!

Well when I'm typing I don't have a problem knowing where keys are for the most part. BUT I use three to four different keyboards between work and home and the "f" keys plus all the other miscellaneous keys are in various configurations so it's hard to get used to where certain keys are all the time. It's not usually a big deal but it can be a hassle when I get totally off a row or something in the middle of a fight. To each his/her own though.

As far as the "chiclet" keys, I like them quite a bit. As a matter of fact my current comp at home is in a brushed aluminum case so I "borrowed" a brushed aluminum with white keys keyboard from a new mac at work recently. It uses the chiclet keys as does my work laptop and I find I like them better.

Holy run-on sentences BatKids! Sorry, I'm at work no time to get my inner grammer police outfit on...

    TRON keyboard

Lose the "Tron based" sounds and give me some alternate lighting options and I'd look into it. I need a back lit keyboard because I usually play at night in my office as not to wake the family, So I could see myself using this with the above changes...
  6. Also didn't Liefield do this in the 90s? It's still cool though.

Of course we've had Coyote over in Outbreak for years . . . .
I did not know this about Coyote(see notes at bottom of page)! That is very cool! Also what (redacted named of other game) did here was very cool as well!
  8. Funny, the more I look at it the more I think the left face is a self protrait... the eyes are a bit high and the nose is a bit squashed but I do believe that's him...
  9. That is an amzing piece GQ! It has a D&D novel cover feel to me! I'd read that book too!
  10. I think I just realized Buddy Caemgen is wearing guyliner... WTH!?!?
  11. I told him he needs to get a forum name and a dA account going....

So he turns 13 today... Officially a teenager! I couldn't be prouder of him! All A's on his report card today as well and he's just a really good son!

So in celebration here are a couple of drawings he did a while back. I just snapped this with my phone so don't hold him accountable for the quality of the image... He did these and really didn't go back to clean them up but I may toss them into Photoshop and work on them myself at some point... Anyway as always feed back is appreciated!

  12. Obviously you guys are way better at this than I am but here is my attempt at Burnt Matchstick...

I was trying to convey wood grain without using the swirls pattern I've seen Bubba use before. The head is the bioluminescense face in black to show some scarring. It's hard to see with the flames on though... Of course I didn't hit save to go back and do one without the aura so use your imaginations. I also wanted more of an armored feel as if the flames are being contained by the armor hence only the head is on fire... I really wanted to bring some blue into the head because as a kid I remember all our waterproof Boy Scout matches had blue heads, but I couldn't find a decent picture online as a reference.

Good luck everyone and I hope you get some useful costumes Bubba!
  13. With the IV thing, unless I totally missed it, I thought that was the monitor. Not all IVs are run through a machine. My mom was in the hospital for a month earlier in the year and she had a stats monitor that looked exactly like that and the IV bags hung above it but they were gravity/pressure fed. Being that as it may, those bags usually didn't last more than a day or so. He did look feverish and dehydrated but I'm thinking a few days would be more likely as opposed to weeks.

Also it was a gunshot wound to the back/shoulder area, not usually life threatening, so I assumed it was just a few days different.

Also as far as the zombies not eating him while he slept. There was a gurney in front of his door which would limit their access to him slightly (though if they can turn a door knob they should be able to move a gurney). Also, I don't think he'd be making much noise which they established is pretty key to attracting the zombies in this movie.
  14. It is funny that I notice real quick when an American actor is trying to do a foreign accent but not the reverse. Though with a few people I will notice certain words are harder for them to say. I notice this with Sarah from Chuck a lot, but House is pretty DARN good at hiding his accent!
  15. I would agree about the police station. I'd rather stay there than a house full of windows, especially with zombies walking around that remember how to turn knobs AND pick up stuffed rabbits...

I need to check out those novels. I love zombie books, my favorite is Day by Day Armaggedon by J. L. Bourne.
  16. Well I was stoked for this from the get go and I am just as stoked now. I haven't read the graphic novel but from what I've seen on the 'net it does look like it's kept fairly consistant with the feel of the graphic novel. Kudos to the writer and directors for that.

There were things I thought were a little dumb (like the empty side of the highway) but overall I was left wanting more. Also it looks like they are sticking with the slow walkers for the most part but that large group in Atlanta more pretty quickly. I've set the DVR for series record and honestly can't wait for more. For once I think the extra hype AMC gave this show was worth it!
  17. Yeah I agree Mariner, that is going to be hard for me to top. But I'll give it the ol' college try... Of course I didn't finish college either...
  18. Yeah I kinda don't like you now!

J/K! But I am super jealous! I must now go make a toon named "Jealous of JG0001" and color him green. His story will be that he was torn from the primal forces of PowerStream's jealousy! He will be a ss/wp brute and run amok smashing things in search of cash flow to fill PowerStream's need to compete with the JG0001s!
  19. Don't get that Gizmo one wet or you'll have Fir Bolgs running around everywhere!

    CoH Jam October!

    That is WAY cool Deebs!
  21. Gratz Henri!!

Yeah I was worried about choosing to stick with the color scheme. I liked my version of the costume a lot but definitely not how I'd color my own toon. Feel free to do some work on it Naz, just show me what you end up with is all I ask!

Only reason I think Burnt Matchstick will be difficult is because it is pretty specific and Bubba has done a great job of interpretting it in many ways already, but I'm up for the challenge!
  22. Grats Mariner!

Man Naz you just make this harder and harder!
