They aren't in a good order and the slotting favors trying to spend money rather than what's best for the toon. Check the math on your heals, for example.
Taking PP and not slotting Stamina...uh...math again.
I can't be sure I'm right without the datachunk to import. The link doesn't work when that site is blocked. -
I wanted to make sure to say something, but I really don't know what to say.
You guys try to stay strong mentally.
It's sobering. Makes you realize what matters, what's real. -
Quote:I've done that before, sans the healing.I dunno. I like to go through AP with the Walk command, reminisce about how big the zone felt when I first started, heal lowbies working on their "arrest five Hellions" missions, etc.
You learn to filter it, I guess. Or you get numb to it. Same effect, different journey.
For long extended walk sessions while I'm doing something else, I prefer PI or Talos. Hmm, can you swim using walk? -
After I run the sewers in Atlas, I never go back.
Finale of Positron pt I doesn't count. -

Quote:You can have as many global recharges as you want, but if any with the same description have more than five then those over five don't count. So, Decimation and Positron, both have the 6.25 with the same description, so they stop having the rech bonus after five. The hold and snipe, both with 7.5 and the same description, don't have the same description as the LotG 7.5.Ok, i just plugged in your build and all i can say is WOW! Those 2 luck of the gambs saved me an entire row of other enhancements and did more.
The problem is you have more than 5 sets of Global recharge, you have 5 alone just from the luck of gambler and then you got some from decimate, sniper blast, positron, etc..
Isnt this overkill?
Also, i do not need hover to select fly but was that to get the haste cap? Does that luck of the gambler go over the 5 set bonus cap for one ability or is there something im missing because when i quit playing coh 7 months ago you could only have bonues of one thing 5x, youve got like near 10 set bonuses of global recharge???
Once you get permahasten, you can add the 70% it gives to the mix permanently, in addition to all other bonuses you have.
There is no overkill on recharge, especially not on a blaster. Once animation times is your sole irritation, then you've reached blaster nirvana.
Mids takes care of any breaking of the law of fives. The numbers on these are right. It's not the cheapest build with those Basilisks and the LotGs, but it's cheap by some standards. -
I'd like to bring my newly incarnate Saltier, fire/ice/fire/spiritual blaster.
-
Quote:Broadsword is pretty sluggish compared to kat. I'd just go spiritual. And this discussion is still relevant for Broadsword/, right? Levelling up a BS/WP here, and am looking at endgame content.
Sitting here thinking about it, Spritual probably would be the way to go for Broadsword, since those attacks are uniformly more recharge-intensive than are Katana's. Plus Shadowmeld from Soul Mastery... yep, Spiritual might just be the ticket.
You guys have me really considering musculature and rethinking my slotting. Maybe a third i19 respec, though I might as well wait for the surprises in i20.
(Man, I like how CoH gives us free updates.) -
This one's not crippled in its attempt to get permahasten, which it does, but I put some slots into powers that I'd rather not even have. And I mean putting four additional slots in them.
Note: One thing you need to think about if you're at or near fifty is that you can go with Spiritual Boost etc. It's not global in the bonus sense of the word. It modifies each power that can take an enhancement of that kind, and Spiritual is about recharge primarily. So keeping the rech on your powers themselves lower than 66% will keep you from going over the ED softcap. That said, the incarnate stuff can push past that stuff some.

Yeah, I need to run ITF again, not just for shards, but to get the Nictus fragment to make the Infused Nictus fragment to make the Spiritual Radial boost. (Not on my katana/wp, on my fire/ice blaster) Run time of the respec TF will determine my participation, and/or my sleepiness.

It's inherent now. You have the whole set from level two.
If you posted a datachunk I could have looked at it in Mids. As it is, I can say to lose the Entropics. The heal proc is a joke and decimation is only a little more expensive.
I personally don't slot Buildup or Aim with anything but two common recharges. As for perception, if you have tactics, and you really want more, chuck the rectified reticule unique in either buildup or aim. Nothing wrong with putting the Adjusted Targeting, but if you're really building for recharge, you need to take stealth or some other pool, to get your five defense powers and get a LotG +7.5 in each.
The snipe should have Manticore in it. Gives you 7.5% rech and they're cheap as dirt and are good.
You can chuck a Basilisk in Cryo Freeze Ray, which you don't have, for another 7.5% rech. The ones in the teens are super cheap and might just be sitting in your SG's bins, unwanted. I have two sets of junk Basilisks in my Char and Freezing Touch on my fire/ice/fire blaster, giving me 15%.
My ideas on getting rech. AoE and Single targets with 6.5%, you need at least five (unless you have pets, the change accordingly). Need five defense powers, even if it makes no sense. But, really, as a blaster, hover and CJ take care of two of those. And slot those with LotG. If they're too expensive, do them with merits or hmerits. Take any hold or snipe for the 7.5 from basilisk/manticore.
Even before Spiritual Boost, my fire/ice/fire was only 1.6 seconds short of permahasten.
I look forward to seeing your datachunk, or being at home where the link isn't blocked. I have a energy^2 that I don't play but really like. I'm just not good at managing the kb and feel I'm offensive to melee people on my team.
Edit: Re: Status protection, eh, keep some break frees on hand. There is nothing but the Winter's gift slow and the -kbs. Besides, if you've gotten aggro already, if you can't get away/phase shift (Warburg, not power) you're faceplanting. -
Granted it was a good turnout and we absolutely ate that irritating "protect the reactor for five years" TF, but what really impressed me was when two (or three) of the team helped my fire/ice blaster do the final Mender Rammy Incarnate-boot mission. And by "do" I mean "eat like it was something that requires minimal chewing." Cause we didn't just chew it up, we slurped it down.
It was the first time I've been a non-Frad with other Frads. Very frustrating as most stuff was dead before I got to it.
I'm thinking that respec mish is about as unenjoyable as Citadel. No...nothing can be as bad as Citadel. -
Necro-bump
I've got Rick Flagg on my calendar this week. Is that accurate?
I know we shifted when everyone went ITF crazy.
Also, these XX-50 TFs, they're shard-droppy? -
Quote:Yeah, I"m not really fond of this build I did. I'm not sure why I took some things. I probably won't respec until I get a good feel for the 50+ stuff. And I need tactics on all my toons, I hate being blinded.I'd strongly favor Nerve.
Fly no longer needs Fly speed enhancers slotted, it reaches the cap just turning it on. Hover, OTOH, benefits greatly from Fly Speed enhancers. I'd stick the Winter's Gift in Fly and add the 2nd slot to Hover. That way Hover can be slotted with 2 fly speeds (or 1 fly speed and a LotG +recharge).
I'd consider Maneuvers over Resurgence, although the self rez can be handy (but I do find Resurgence to be a low quality self-rez). -
Quote:I'm thinking that's the way I might go. I was looking at what was best for my blaster and nerve doesn't hit the ED like the others do. Especially with /WP.Anecdotal advice: have you considered Nerve? Would help max defense and attacks arent overly slotted for acc.
Muscular would go great with frankenslotting a kat/ scrapper, but I need my bonuses for speed. -
After looking at all that, I know what I need to do. Though, I thought that I'd be slotting for Musculature as I'd like extra damage, but I get all my damage into the 90s just slotting for bonuses. And I thought it would help against defense debuffs to me, which I care about. I'm not sure upping that in my GC, etc, is really worth using my incarnate stuff on.
I think I'll either go Nerve or Spiritual. Neither really hits the ED too badly across the board like Musculature does. Though with my plan to get her some LotG7.5s, I think that the recharge bonus plus the incarnate stuff might start bumping against the animation time on some.
Well, I've got some shards to get. I'm tempted to go to Mender Ram with Saltier, my new 50 blaster, since Spiritual and Cardiac make so much sense to her. Plus she's really fun. And she has around 1k vmerits, which I'm thinking might be one of the easiest way to get shards.
And, geez, if i knew that vmerits were good for real stuff, I wouldn't have picked up that giant robot.
Thanks guys, you're great. -
I'm about to do my first Alpha slot, but before I do, I need to decide on what to slot. I've already maxed up to ED on my damage and most of my recharge, and plan to pick up some LotG7.5%s from merits/hmerits, so I'm not sure about Spiritual.
With muscular, with the damage maxed through slotting for bonuses, that leaves only the def debuf boosts, which none of my powers have that anyhow.
What's your opinion? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here's her as-built currently, which I'm not sure matters as the alpha rides over all powers:

Saltier, the toon I've been working on lately and enjoying quite a bit, a fire/ice blaster, and the first I've gone freako expensive on (no purples though), hit 50 last night. But in a sad way.
I was running Tip missions and then the dog started freaking out. I announced this and it wasn't really a bad time as we were near the end of the mish. Dog was barking at "the night" and I decided to run to the bathroom quickly and when I got back I was a 50.
So, cool but disappointing. -
Well, CP wasn't able to stay up and I didn't go, though I was there, because I clearly didn't understand that I've got to fill my Alpha slot first. Though I was thinking I'd get stuff to make the thing to put in it. Oh well.
I know this isn't the right place to ask. But is there a little guide saying how and what to do to make these. I know with musculature I'll have to run Statesman. I'll search and see what I can find. But I thought I understood.
Obviously Incarnates are much more powerful than I thought, too. -
Quote:Wow. I stand corrected.Wait...wait...why would you skip Eagle's Claw? It gives a +33% chance to crit on the next attack used.
EC + Dragon's Tail for lots more critting!
This falls into the "The More You Know..." category. I tend to lead with EC anyhow. And my attack string is whatever is up and seems appropriate. Though I'd not really reccomend my play style on MA to anyone. I like using AirSup for mitigation (which totally makes sense and fits theme.) -
But I'm not really marketing now. Sure, I'm selling drops. Pretty steady income, but the 5.3b I had is helping me coast pretty well. Though, actually, I need to check how that stands. That was a while ago.
I have alts coming out of my ears. I'll throw someone in there.
@who should I /t at?
