Grats and thanks to everyone who came out. That was fantastic.
Still didn't get Triple Threat, but as they say, a RHW in the hand is worth TT/MoMagi in the bush.
Besides, gives me a reason to go again next week, right?
Grats again.
Edit: Oh, and for those who had to miss, I'm sure this won't be the last RHW I ever do. Soon™. -
Forming up now.
-
Grats to any new Masters of Lambda Sector and those who added one more with the badge to their roster.
And as always, thanks to Amy for organizing and leading. -
Got my emp respecked into Leadership, stocked up on Ultimates so I can help a few people out, and everything's ready to go.
And if you're not willing/able to respec/buy inspirations/switch to Hero (well, it's a bit late for that last one anyway), don't worry too much; I think we'll have enough people who can to make the difference.
See you all tomorrow in Pocket D. -
I was coming to wish y'all good luck but I was looking at the first post and not the later one and so you went an hour earlier than I was expecting (I'm at work, so I couldn't have come either way). Anyway, grats!

Quote:Faultline takes place before WWD. They removed references to Statesman (in Agent G's what-could-happen scenarios) and Psyche (formerly chief among the people who were mentioned mentoring Penelope Yin in the final debriefing; thankfully, they didn't just search/replace that and have Penny tutoring herself). As far as him continuing to hand out missions after killing Statesman, that still takes place before WWD chronologically.
Oof. I just hate how the whole thing was handled. -
Might want to specify a day
At any rate, if it's on a day I can attend, I'd love to help out. Haven't done a Hami raid since I came back two breaks ago. No particular character in mind, just whatever the league needs.
Hmm... Effervescence Destiny to teleport the entire league out... (and yeah, I know that strategy's been replaced).
Edit: Ah, you added a day while I was posting. I'll be there, assuming my Magisterium runs wrap up by then. (They should.) -
Same basic deal as last week. I'm planning 2-3 runs:
- Triple Threat + practice
- The Really Hard Way
- Ready to Rumble, if we didn't get it during the previous attempt (time and interest permitting)
Requirements and other considerations:- Must be 50+3 and have completed the trial.
- Must have Hybrid unlocked and slotted.
- Must have six Ultimate inspirations*. For the rest of your inspiration slots, have reds and/or greens, or see below.
- Preferred Incarnate abilities; if you can switch to one of these, please do:
- Alpha and Judgement: Any.
- Interface: Any with damage procs (Cognitive, Degenerative, Preemptive, Reactive, or Spectral).
- Destiny: Barrier, Rebirth; Ageless.
- Lore: Cimerorans, WarWorks, Phantoms, IDF. Higher DPS is better. Core path preferred.
- Hybrid: Assault, Support.
- New this week! The main thing I'd like to try to change this week is buffing Lore pets, particularly their tohit and damage to offset the fact that they're not affected by Ultimates. Some suggestions (I'm not going to require any of this, but the more of it we have, the better off we'll be):
- Assault and Tactics from Leadership
- Call to Justice, the hero alignment power
- Team inspirations
This will be Sunday, July 8. I'll start forming in Pocket D at 3:00 PM EDT and launch when we fill. I'll hold reserved spots until 3:30 EDT.
* Ultimates can be purchased from WW/BM, or for 2 Astral Merits from Astral Christy in Ouroboros. -
Quote:Some people have Bug Hunter and/or Passport, and at least one has 8 Year Veteran.I want to know what badge you have (and a few others have) that EI doesn't have.
(And some people have Once... through Eight Times the Victor, but the badge tracking sites don't count those. I think they count in your /info, though.) -
I'll be there to help out. Don't need the badges, so if you need the space for someone who does, I'll bow out.

Quote:Back when I was having trouble with it, I tried that and still DC'd.Sorry to necro this thread. But I figured other people might be looking for info on this.
As of 07/03/12, it's still bugged.
However, there is a strategy for completion on the ParagonWiki page for the contact.
Basically stay near the starting point and draw smaller mobs to your position with Laser Beam Eyes. Then use LBE and Energy Smash to kill mobs. The other powers in conjunction with the ridiculous concentration of enemies seem to be what's driving the server into screaming fits and causing the mapservs.
Only advance once you've cleared most of the center of the map. It's slow, but it works. Just SUCCESSFULLY completed it today using this method.
However, this last weekend I decided to try it again. And I went full-out, rushing into the middle of the enemies and cutting loose with the AoEs. I got some lag, mostly enemies not collapsing for several seconds after being defeated, but overall didn't have any trouble completing the mission.
I've got no clue what changed for me, but I'm glad I was able to do the mission for real instead of autocompleting after several mapserved tries.
(The ending was a bit abrupt; when I took out the last enemy the mission ended and I was kicked from the map. I assume that's how it's supposed to work, but it felt weird.) -

Sorry, didn't check the forums after my forming post. Get you next time.
Thanks to everyone who came out. Sorry we didn't get anything out of it aside from The Hard Way (although that last try at Triple Threat was pretty close).
I'll probably try again next week. I'll get a thread up in the next couple days if I do. -
Forming up in Pocket D now.

24 hours (±a few minutes) to go. See you all in Pocket D tomorrow.

One that I didn't believe reading it in the credits after watching the movie: In Moulin Rouge!, Audrey, the writer who storms out rather than collaborate with Christian, is played by David Wenham, Faramir from The Lord of the Rings.

Didn't try with my nin/ta mastermind, because I was sick of the arc and hoped the allies would speed things up. The fact that I've only used them once since, with my emp/psy defender who kept all the Romans (and Dream Doctor) alive and thus actually got some use out of them, should tell you how well that plan went. -
Quote:Only opening cutscenes are skipped for leagues where everyone's done it before. The rest play no matter what.Speaking of timing and bang for buck and all that...is Magi the only trial that forces you to watch a cutscene whether you've completed it before or not? I wonder why that is. It's probably the least interesting of the scenes, anyway.
And no, there has't been a new trial with an opening cutscene since they became skippable. (Keyes came out at the same time.) -
The timer starts when the Dream Doctor opens the portal to the Magisterium. It includes the countdowns before the IDF phase and before Black Swan appears.
When I led it, we summoned Lore as the countdown timer in the beginning reached 0, then did the AVs in our standard order (Shadow Hunter -> Pendragon -> Chimera). The pets started to die as Black Swan spawned, but we had plenty of time to take her out. -
You don't have to worry about keeping it at 500; once you reach that threshold, it stays there permanently. (Inversely, if it falls to 0, you can't raise it anymore either.)

Quote:I don't care about eliminating knockback from the game. You want to keep your knockback, more power to you. This doesn't feel like a compromise. It feels like a tease.Well, this looks like a compromise between the pro-knockback and the elminiate-all-knockback factions. You can eliminate knockback in one key area, but it won't disappear from the game.
Since knockback is a fundamental -- perhaps THE fundamental -- superhero effect, it never seemed likely it would be entirely eliminated from the game. This compromise may be less than you hoped for, but it does have some utility. -
Quote:One of the reward options for completing the event is one of six enhancements, chosen at random, from the Overwhelming Force universal damage set. The set is attuned and unique. One of the enhancements, as I understand it, converts knockback to knockdown adds an additional chance for knockdown (for the power it's slotted in only).with the new -KB IO that is coming out with the Summer Events I was wondering how are we supposed to acquire it. Is it from running the new events? Can you buy it with some of the various Merits we have in the game (Astral, Hero, Reward) or will it just be a random drop. Is it a rare IO set or something more in the line of a rare ?? Is it unique ? Can you only slot it in one power ( which would suck for my Nrg Blaster )
Any heads up info from those with experience from Beta testing would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
There's no option to buy it with merits that I'm aware of, but it's tradable on the Auction House.
So yeah, I'm glad for the chance to kill some of the knockback in my characters' powers (Solar Flare, Gale), but... well, I hope there's more coming that just hasn't been announced. -
