See you all in about 13 hours in Pocket D! -
Quote:I've had newcomers or at least people who've asked me to explain the trial each of the last few weeks. So, it's up to you; if you show up, I'll invite you.I would like to go on this with my Main, Sinful le Delicious (Kat/Inv scrapper), but I was wondering if you would want me on a badge run, being that this would be my first time in Keyes. ( I have done the other incarnate trials)
That said, I think you'll have an easier time if you're not trying to learn the trial and worry about badges. If things work out, I may try to do a standard Keyes run earlier Sunday afternoon; if you can make that, or jump on a different run, it certainly wouldn't hurt. -
Quote:Rad/rad corruptor sounds good; if we end up missing something important, I may ask if you can switch.I've already got it on my badger, so I'm just there to help out. Let me know what you need.
Quote:I think I can make this. I just have to check and see what time it is over here in Japan.
Not too long ago, there were trial badge runs on Saturdays. As for the Sunday runs, it's been mainly me doing them, and I chose Sunday partially because it was open, and partially because it's my most predictably free day. -
Quote:Alright, we'll try for at least one of the other two, depending who needs what and how things go. Bunker Buster, at least, can be tacked on to any run; it just requires coordination and attention to directions. (To the regulars from the last few weeks: Yeah, I know.)I would love to get a crack at these badges, though I need all of em if possible.
Quote:@Stray Kitten - Whatever we need (my rad/rad corr seems to be a popular choice)
Keyes... popular...
(Personally, it's become my favorite iTrial, probably for many of the same reasons others suddenly remember they left the dog in the oven when it comes up in league chat after Lambda and BAF are done.)
I'll hold a spot for you. -
Same deal as the last few weeks: Meet up in Pocket D, I explain the trial if necessary, break down strategies for badges, and we run until we either get the badges we need or break up.
All runs this week will start out trying for both Avoids the Green Stuff and Loves a Challenge. If you want to try for one of the other two badges (Anti-Anti-Matter and/or Bunker Buster), let me know and I'll work them in as well.
As always, make sure Rebirth destinies, and other powers that could cause confusion with the Oblit Beam, are not colored green.
Pocket D, Sunday, October 16, 4 PM EDT.

Only got in two runs, although who knows what would have happened had the queue not gone nuts on us for the second.
Bunker Buster was successful on the second run, although I think my heart stopped for a few seconds at the third bunker while I rushed my countdown.
As for Green Stuff/Loves a Challenge, we're getting there. I think future runs will focus on those two unless someone specifically asks for Bunker Buster/Anti-Anti-Matter.
Great job, everybody, thanks for coming out, and 'grats to those who got badges. Trying again next week, announcement/signup thread coming ~Tuesday, hope to see you all then. -
See you all in Pocket D tomorrow! (Or later today if you're not in the Americas.)

Synapse wasn't sure if the Praetorian changes went through or not.
"Really, what goes into it is, if we see players struggling in a certain area, or just a lot of player concerns about, say, I'll use Praetorian enemies for example, that were really hard. They just had more powers than they should have, they were doing more damage than they should have, and some other system designers got together and calculated damage per second, and they're making adjustments, or they have made adjustments, I'm not exactly sure, but, yeah, so that is being monitored, and if enemies are just too hard, or too easy, they'll get adjusted. Eventually."
(Bolding mine.) -
The good news: I created a new female widow, and all the costumes, including all 5 non-Arachnos costumes, were female.
The not-so-good news: Neither my existing widow's nor my soldier's default male costumes have been fixed.
So, the underlying issue is fixed but the damage has been done. If you have a female/huge widow that's using the wrong model for the extra costume slots and don't have Super Tailor access to fix it, bug support until they fix it for you. -
Per a suggestion from Amy, I added a basic Keyes run to the start. If time becomes an issue this week, I'll change the start time for later tries.
-
Three runs this week:
First run: Introduction/warmup
No badges this run, just a chance for everyone to get on the same page and people who've never done the trial before (had newcomers each of the last two weeks) to learn.
Second run: Bunker Buster and Loves a Challenge
Avoids the Green Stuff won't be a priority for this run, but even still, the Obliteration Beam can easily kill you, so do try not to get hit. If Loves a Challenge fails and Green Stuff's still in play, we'll focus on it instead. In the event we get both, I'm sure I can manage my disappointment.
As for Bunker Buster... please follow instructions and we'll get it.
Third run: Anti-Anti-Matter and Avoids the Green Stuff
If no one needs Anti-Anti-Matter, we'll skip it. In that case, we can try again for Bunker Buster if needed.
If we didn't get Loves a Challenge the first run, we'll leave the terminals alone until someone dies or time becomes an issue.
Some general notes:
Please, please watch chat for instructions.
If you haven't already, please color Rebirth Destinies and other powers that can be confused with the Oblit Beam to not be green.
Sunday, Pocket D, 4 PM EDT.
Roster
@Placta - Elec/elec blaster
@Amygdala - Kinetics/Energy Defender
@Tenjoy - Scrapper
@Stray Kitten (possibly) -
We get signal...
It's just as incomprehensible as the one in the game, too. -
Thanks for leading, Amy. And congrats to everyone who got badges.
/petitions for a Babysitter badge for keeping Des out of the way the whole time everyone else was doing the bombs... -
No badges this week. All three failed early. On the other hand, the non-badge parts went fairly smoothly, so, there's that.
I'm going to do two runs next week to break up the badges (Green Stuff and Loves a Challenge really don't play nice with one another), starting at 4 PM EDT. I'll get a thread up in the next couple days. -
Including people I've talked to in-game, we're up to 7 so far:
Placta
Spatch
Amygdala
Tenjoy
Dublin Rage
Pingu
Dollmistress
The Underground run is forming now. I'll be in Pocket D after it finishes to start forming MoKeyes. -

It does, but it seems to use the task force difficulty lock code; at least, neither "-1 level" nor "no bosses" work (at least as of the last time I ran it with those settings enabled).

We'll be getting a later start this week to avoid conflicts with Amygdala's Master of the Underground run. I'm going to set the target start time for 5:30 EDT to allow time for the Underground trial to run long. -er.
Because of the late start, I'm only going to plan one run for this week, trying for Bunker Buster, Avoids the Green Stuff, and Loves a Challenge. If there's enough interest, I may go again for Anti-Anti-Matter and any that we missed the first run.
Again, please color Rebirth destinies, and other powers that could cause confusion with the Obliteration Beam, something other than green.

The first run got Anti-Anti-Matter. The second run failed to get any badges; the one thing I didn't mention regarding Bunker Buster was "no pets," and the result was a perfect demonstration of why I should have.
As for Avoids the Green Stuff, I think we did well overall, with only a couple slips and badly timed time freezes stopping us from getting it today. I misjudged the time on one, and so the beam hit right before the time freeze.
Thanks to everybody who came out, and congrats to those who got Anti-Anti-Matter.
I'm going to try again next week, after Amygdala's Master of the Underground run. I'll get a thread up for it in the next couple days. -
Going to start forming up in Pocket D in about an hour.

I haven't checked my soldier, but based on what I've seen it should hit them just the same as widows. However, if you already have your first non-uniform slot unlocked, I don't think it will be an issue since later slots copy that.
