I supose I could have double checked the spelling but I was too lazy plus you love me so I can get away with it.

Same. Though the person who was being harassed, cause i would say it was more than trolling, should petition the one causeing trouble.
  3. Most of the activity in channel is just random questions about game play that arise. Also there are people on at all times it seems, so there should be someone to answer any questions you might have, even at odd hours.

You don't have to have a specific mentor it's more of an open thing though you can ask for one. Myself, Sixy and Turganov are all freedom players in the channel.
  4. 2 others are RF2009 and freedom elite.

Also you might consider joining the N P C channel which is part of the mentor program (see link in my sig).
It's a place to ask questions in game and also get help. type /chan_join "N P C" (note there is a space between each letter)

**One notation you can not join global chat channels if your on a trial account, trials are only allowed local and team chat i believe**

Welcome to the game and to freedom.

Virtue is well populated and is RP friendly I would think if you said in team chat i want to read the text it would be very accepted. Justice has a good population and is very friendly and helpful to new players as is protector afaik. Freedom is highly populated but might not be the most helpful to a ew player though you would have no problem getting a team there.

I understand the free trial is very limited and I won’t succeed past level 14, and that I can’t invite players to team or use some of the chat channels – bummer! But I think I can use the mentor program channel to get answers to questions.
Sadly the mentor channel N P C is not usable on trial accounts. I am not sure if you can use the help channel which is server specific. The trial account restrictions are so strict because of gold farmers The global channels are such an enriching part of he game and each servers community.

So far the only dislike for me is the camera movement, and maneuvering my character. I don’t like it when I press D my character moves right but the camera stays center. I’m sure I can change the settings, I just need to figure out how in the menu.

Under menu>options>keymaping (that's from memory but i think it's right)

If you do activate please do join the N P C channel, as well as your server's main channels. Also when you decide on a server introduce yourself on that servers forums.

    Welcome to CoH
  6. I did have to adjust the time for earlier so I hope everyone can still make it. Sun at 5pm EST. Last year it took a few hours so even if you come late please do come

To Flea: What will we do without your intangability IO's (also he really did give my bank toon one last year lol)

And sorry lol..ill go edit that.

What server did you wind up choosing? I always recomend going to that server's specific section and just making a "Hi I am new to the server post"

Also just to repeat what Dechs and Panzer said you might try joining the N P C channel. We have mentors on every server and there is alot of experienced players there to answer questions as they arise in the game.

Information can be found in my signature and in game you can type: /chan_join "N P C"

there are spaces between the letters

There is a cap on sloting the same IO type. eg run speed IO's you get no benefit past 3. It's enhancement Diversification you will see it refered to as ED.

So there is no point in slotting more then 3 unless you are going to put other IO's in something like 3 for speed, 2 for end reedux and 1 zephyr kb.

Sets or Microfiliments have the dual purpose of speed and end redux so 3 slots would be more than enough.
  10. Sorry Pum I run a cash only buisness. Payment on bid end.
  11. I've slotted some PvP toons but mostly I usually wind up giving alot away both to friends and strangers. I did the same thing when i was poor though, I would get 100 mil (alot for me last year) and hold a PERC event and give it away.
  12. Just a reminder to get your inf together and make your ebil plans since it's almost time

I am really looking forward to this Sunday and hope everyone has a good time!

As some of you may have already guessed my avatar is in fact a Schooner. I guess I should explain myself. I am from Australia. We have seven different territories/states and each has its own rules. Let’s start where I am from, in Queensland. A Schooner is 425 mL so it’s about three quarters of a pint and is probably the most common measurement that a typical Aussie man would ask for in a bar. Alternative measures are a pot, which sounds bigger but isn’t, it’s 285 mL. Or you could ask for a glass which would be 200 mL.

Over in New South Wales, schooners and glasses are the same but a pot is called a middie. In Victoria it is all the same as Queensland but in South Australia a glass becomes a butcher, a pot turns into the schooner and a pint is only 425 mL, which is a schooner in everybody else’s language.
In Western Australia a glass is a bobby, a pot is a glass and a schooner is a pot, according to some sources. But others say it works out the same as it is in Queensland except a pot is a middie as it is in New South Wales. That’s because in Western Australia a pot is 575 mL which is slightly more than a pint but close enough to be called a pint by all the English people who live there.

I am not making this up, it’s for real.

In Northern Territory a schooner is a schooner but a pot is a handle and a glass is a seven. Although another source tells me that a glass is a six not seven, because the seven is actually a pot and the handle is 425 mL which of course, in most other places is a schooner.

Stick with me on this, we only have Tasmania left to go.

In Tassie, just as in N.T. (probably) a glass is a seven. But a pot is a ten and a pint only 425 mL.

And if your still confused by all the mL's. Just remember that 425mL is equal to about 14.3 oz.

Hope this helps to clear the confusion.

    Schooner
I'm really glad your getting help. Also you really did pick the right server we have alot of Aussie's on Justice they have a global channel called australia you might want to join

    Am I a healer?

Healing is what I wanted to do, but I am learning that Defenders do that, so what exactly is my character? Am I primarily a support class? A weak healer used when the real healers are not available?

I figured I should get this figured out before I work this character up to level 50. If I am going to be useful, then I will definitely stick with this character, but I do not what to be looked at as a weak healer.

I tried skimming through the FAQ’s but most of them (if not all) focus on the primary powers, and not the secondary powers. I can check the Defender forums for tips there, and I will, but what I am looking at is healing as a Controller, and if that is a viable option.

Thanks in advance for any help.
I would also poit out that the controller version of power boost has a faster recharge then the defender version so that is one plus to a troller emp, power boosted fort and adrenalin boost are so yummy.

Also your little tree is a fab regen buff. Hami tanks love the tree.

My main is an emp and i moved her to freedom to PvP with. I made a plant/emp troller to replace her on Justice and it is a very enjoyable combination. If you enjoy support classes you will like your emp, just remember those lovely buffs.

Also welcome to the game and the forums please check out the mentor project (link in my sig) we have a channel where you can ask questions and get some advice/help at any time while your playing, you can join the channel in game by typeing /chan_join "N P C"
  20. Just to let you know there is a group doing this on Justice. It's actually the second go around they did it last year as well it was fun when i tried it.

  24. Gold lvl 30-35 but i think it will drop at the max lvl of your toon or the max lvl for that recipe. If you want that specific lvl you will need to use merit's or a toon at that lvl.
