Same here...I love entering costume contests whether I win or not. I'm in Hawaii and work till 5pm so I almost always miss CCs. Unless it's held on a weekend....

Tomorrow's theme sounds exciting, wish I could be there.
  2. Yes I've ran it in safe mode, laggy as hell.

Game just basically freezes up. The first few times I'd change my costume or look at someone's bio or open up my contacts, it's fine. After the 10th time or so, it just basically freezes and I'd have to re-log.

Could be that I need to update the BIOS driver, unfortunately I can't seem to figure out what I have according to COHelper. May have to seek professional help. =(
  3. Anyone at all that can figure out what could be my issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  4. I'm having the same issue too and have already started a new thread about it before seeing this one. Have any of you gotten it fixed?
  5. game freezes often when I open up the costumes box, or if i open other in-game boxes, such as other player's info/badges, etc.
my system info is below...please advise me on changes

  6. Is it me or is the picture on the NC Soft site deceiving? They show a male character with bioluminescent boots but I have been unable to find it in the costume creator. Am I blind? Help?
  7. Nice to know there are Mauians on here

Ahh I think it's just nice to know that Hawaii people play CoH and not just WoW lol.

I thought about it, but then I'd have to make the time to put up teleporters, etc. I also don't play that specific toon as much.

I'm unsure of your motives here, are you wanting to take the prestige to another SG? Sorry, out of luck no matter what.

My suggestion would be to just quit the SG, leaving it for those members who are still there. They may come back for GR, who knows. 100 days isn't ALL that long really, it's still less that 4 months and I know I'd be pretty annoyed to come back and find someone had kicked me from my SG and then quit it so it no longer existed.
As for the prestige, I was just wondering about it. Didn't want to lose all of that prestige for nothing. As for those in it, I checked again..it ranged from 150-364 days that others haven't logged in.

I'm still thinking about it. Maybe I'll give it till GR comes out and if no one other than myself has logged into it, then I'll make my decision then.

    Deleting SG

So now I seem to be the leader of a defunct SG and I have no time to be recruiting (all members left have not logged in for at least 100 something days) and keeping up with it. It's a huge base but pretty empty. Maybe a salvage rack or two and has as of date, 1,777,632 prestige. I want to get rid of it by either "selling" it, deleting it, or just simply giving it away as the grand prize of a CC. But before deciding which action I want to take, would anyone know if I am able to delete the SG and if so, would I able to receive the prestige earned?
  10. I've experienced it too....kinda like my toon is doing the Jackhammer emote everytime I zone.

Why don't you get time off instead of denying the community reps and devs the time to go home to their families? How would you like to work three to five more hours of overtime?

This is probably also why the events won't run all day. It is also a huge reason why modern MMO companies hate running live events.
I'm not complaining.. I understand that it is their job and it's a sacrifice they have to make if it cuts into their family time. And I know how it feels to have to work three to five more hours of overtime

Me take time off just so I can attend the events?? I LOVE CoH, but I don't love it THAT much lol. There is always going to be next year and the year after, hopefully...
  12. You know...it would nice if they could arrange the times so that people in Hawaii would actually be able to attend the events. Ex: Server events end at 10pm est which is 4pm est in Hawaii. A lot of us have 9-5 jobs, hence missing out. Now if we could actually get on CoH at work, that would be great... Other than that, I'm pretty bummed that I won't be able to attend any of the server events.
  13. Maui, Hawaii here and we NEVER have any snow. If we do get snow it's at Mt Haleakala and on the Big Island and it'll only last for a few hours before it starts melting. We did get hail yesterday morning Of course that happens like once in a blue moon....
  14. Oh thank goodness! And I thought it had something to do with our modem...Just when I was ready to ski down the slopes I get a mapserved notice on my screen. Booooo!!
  15. Maui? Nice...My bf and I are on often in the evenings so perhaps we will run into each other
  16. I've had this issue for a while, a whole lot worse when my boyfriend and I would be on our comps playing at the same. /sync, /stuck, /unloadgfx-none of that worked or would only do so for maybe 2 minutes. I knew it wasn't our computers as they are fairly new and everything is up to date. I finally called my cable company that provides our internet service and the representative had us run some tests including checking PING status. Then he asked about our router which was a G router. He said that everything on his end worked fine but if it happens again (rubberbanding, intermittent signals)....it could be the router. The best solution ever- bought an N router and has had no problems then Maybe check with your cable company, make sure your video card is update....or like in our case, could be your router or in yours, the modem
  17. Thank you all for your help. Well it looks like a brand new comp is what I'll be getting.. Btw, Zloth, you just made me green with envy. I can't wait till I can physically see graphics that awesome
  18. Ok so I bought my Dell from a family member whom was having a garage sale for only $100. Great deal I must say. I've been playing the game for almost a year now and altho it has had it's moments where it takes me 2 minutes to load, it does it job. The graphics may not be as great, but hey, as long as I am able to play

Anyhow, just recently I had to swap my modem with Time Warner (got Road Runner) and now with the "new" modem I am constantly mapserving. I'll load and just as I see my toon, I mapserve. Last night, I was on an AE mish and I would constantly freeze, lag, rubberband, and sometimes I would hear the slashing of my scrapper's katana sword but she wasn't moving at all. Everything just seemed to move right after the sound. I would also see other toons doing the running man! GRRRRRR...The game was working fine until recently and it's frustrating. I'm at the point where I want to throw my comp out the window.

I have posted info from Hijackthis and CohHelper below. As far as I know NVIDIA driver is updated and I just ran AVG and nothing was found. Anything else that is posted below I'm not familiar with so any help would be appreciated. Thank you
