It means the toonster doesn't like competition when he debuts his newest outfit.

So...addicting... -
You know watching the Scions dwindle down as different friends have left for various reasons has been a little heartbreaking.
I just want to say, thanks for the introduction on the boards over two years ago, the invite into TA, getting yourself a forum sidekick that turned into my pretty cool RL boyfriend, and all the teams over the last couple years.
As you said, too many heartbreaking choices are going on right now. Know that as hard as it is to see you go i fully understand/support you doing what you think is best for the future, and i hope things do turn around. I will try to keep the base in good repair. Hopefully you'll get to come back and see it before too long! -
i've never been in on one fo the matinees before, but I'd love to try. however, all my high level villains are protector side. I have stuff in the 20s if you can use me, just let me know.

ok ok, I'm sorry, I couldn't resist, but I completely agree with Manoa. After the i13 PvP Changes, I heard about the dev's and players having a vent/skype conference. Why couldn't we have something like that?
[/ QUOTE ]
Thing is, I don't even think the communication was all that open with the I13 changes. During the beta process, the PvP community was very vocal against the changes that were going to be implemented...but yet the changes were pushed through anyway. A vent/skype conference would have not been necessary had the feedback that the developers asked for from the players for was taken to heart.
There's just too much stuff that's been pushed through since HeroCon that goes against player feedback and is infuriating and dividing our community. And the redname response (if any) is often too little too late. Much of this growing customer dissatisfaction could have been prevented in the first place had the lines of communication not been severed and the developers heeded the community's feedback. It's my hope that things might be able to be mended if the developers are allowed to reopen the lines of communication...

Sadly i have noticed this too, as have others i know in RL. -

I like to implement this principle in my daily life -
For me, I can be reached via the following...
Facebook (use peepqueen@gmail.com in the search)
I have checked my myspace page once in the last 6 months, so I won't even bother sharing that...

It's a bad time, but we're good people. and if you love us, we'll have plenty of love to give you back
oh, and some interesting rashes too, probably... -
[ QUOTE ]
Now, anyone who's been here for longer than about 10 minutes is familiar with the people screaming that "if you do [x] people will leave!", and we all mock those claims. They're silly and hyperbolic and usually without merit. However, this is different... this isn't that... people are leaving now. They're already leaving. That effects me, even if I choose to stay.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agree with this
[ QUOTE ]
Lets start from the beginning my position is this: I dont want people to leave. The only reason I play this game is because of the community. The more people who are here, the more fun the game is for me. I would hope most players agree with this. I am sure the Devs do also.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agree with this too.
[ QUOTE ]
The irony with all of this is that usually our Devs are fairly open about discussing their actions with us. They solicit player opinions, they hold open beta, they respond to and react to feedback that they receive. Our Devs DO care. But, because the response the Devs chose to deal with this whole issue, that being GM action, is specifically barred by forum rules from discussion, the feelings of those who are upset are being made worse.
[/ QUOTE ]
Also Bingo. Kats post speaks for a lot of folks it seems.
[ QUOTE ]
If a person you have on ignore for making an [censored] of himself makes a good point, and that point is shared through someone else, why should that bother anyone?
[/ QUOTE ]
You have an excellent point, Smoke. Sadly, it does and this is another thing thats impacting our quality of life in game as a result of the whole issue. And as Liv says, that effects me, even if the banning and thread locking dont. Which is the sole reason I kinda would like to see someone from Paragon Studios speak to the issue. Just to get everyone to calm down. (whether that works ) or say yes we know what happened and it didnt go the way we planned. Because this is seeping into all areas of the game, and impacts even someone like me, one of the most consistently absentee players around.
[ QUOTE ]
There needs to be a dialogue... a real one, where Mr. Millar heaves his considerable bulk off his pedestal and comes down to actually talk to us.
[/ QUOTE ]
As a woman of considerable bulk, Im saying, you shouldnt have gone there. But you know that
I appreciate some of the insight I am getting here in this thread. I am glad that most people can now talk about it a little calmer.
I was also pretty touched by Sasss thread. I met Scimi in COH, its how we keep in touch with me in Sac and him in Louisville. This has shook us both badly to see people we care about leaving. Thats why an issue that otherwise might have been more ignorable to me is causing me to also say more than I have in the past two years.
In closing I agree with Kaiser too, and I have tried to say something similar in other threads. Community is why I am in COH and not on a PS3 by myself. My RL friends got me in, I met wonderful people since, and theres no way I am emotionally prepared for how it feels when they start to leave.
Just my thoughts. -
Aw lucas that was sweet! (wow)
I agree that the hubbub over this, like so many other things will eventually subside, regardless of whether folk are pleased with the manner of subsiding or not.
It is very hard to see people who have been part of the game community leave, MMOs are unique in that their draw is the ability to interact with people you have come to know and new people. Seeing someone leave game can be as difficult as losing a friend in RL.
Sass hits the nail on the head a well, in that these difficult economic times, folks may have been on the fence about leaving as well due to job/income issues already, and this just caused them to do what they would have had to do anyway, only a few months earlier. That's a harsh reality. I have heard that you can take a break for a few months, resubscribe and still have your characters. However, since I have not done this, if this is not true I apologize. But if it is, it might be a nice way to ride out the economic realities and current drama until things look slightly rosier.
I may just be speaking for myself, but i feel every person that leaves leaves a hole behind, and those of us that stay miss the absent ones and hope to see them in game again some day. -
I'm probably going to regret this.
We have to lead by example. That'll get everyone there thats able to get there.
Shyni - i am sorry no one has been able to provide you with the information you requested. But Welcome Back! We are happy to have you. -

My questions is about the National Missing Children's Day. Is it encouraging us to "make more" missing children or maybe wants up to be vigilant about the current missing children?
[/ QUOTE ]
Neither. You're just supposed to trade the ones you currently have in your basement with others.
[/ QUOTE ]
Pum, your posts make me smile...
As uber-mom villian (and my redside toon) Marge Fury would say, it's not so much that they are "missing" just that you are firmly determined not to find them. No matter how insistent they are -

Peep, those are EPIC. I completely forgot how awesome Mario Paint was...I can still remember that flyswatter game, you could spend hours in front of that screen and never get bored...

Really, it amazes me what people have done with Mario Paint. I have wasted way to many evenings watching videos people have posted on youtube of that stuff. -

How sad to hear this news!
It occurs to me that having just hit the 24 month mark, there's not a time I have been a member of this community when you have not been here. I know the only constant is change, but it does feel like losing a member of the family. You'll be greatly missed. I hope you have wonderful things in your future, and am glad you'll be able to join us all for the next hero-con. -
Billz,
I just gotta say a friend pointed me to this guide and another of yours regarding performance - not only have you made my game better, but the PC is all around happier. thanks so much! -
Great to see this thread still going.
I needed a smile...
