  1. What happened?

    (I've had to drop because I do things on Sunday evenings).
  2. Power Rangers style martial arts and giant robots.
  3. I can't make it this sunday, I'm afraid.
  4. I wondered at times whether Siphon Power was worth firing there - the mobs were disintegrating before the debuff was any use (but the buff was nice). And also thought that re-speed boosting was probably more use than making direct attacks at times.

  6. Can we start a bit earlier tomorrow then? I'd like to be done before 7 as well.
  7. Just a quick note: if we want to do all the Task Forces, some one needs to do The Hollows missions - there's the Heart of the Hollows Task Force (on which Paralux has just gone splat).

  9. The issue with Blue Steel isn't the violence - I'd have little problem if Clockwork King had been killed resisting arrest. It's that once the man now known as the Clockwork King was subdued then Blue Steel proceeded to commit attempted murder.

    And as for Longbow, try playing the villains training mission... They really show their true colours there.

Looking ahead, I think the only thing my controller is going to set slot for is recharge (PermaAM and PermaHasten would be nice - how much do I need beyond the standard 90% (+ change) from enhancements after ED and the two abilities themselves? - although I suppose I can normally rest the downtime if I have to) and defences such as the knockback protection in Kinetic Crash.

    Were I playing /thugs, I'd name all of them after people I didn't want to keep breathing. That way I win either way. But the customisation I want is some very basic appearance customisation for the pets.

    Thanks. I've just designed a Kin/Rad defender in Mids (it would be Kin/Sonic if sonic wasn't so annoying.) Speed Boost at 12, Tactics by L14, group superjumping by L18 - and needs help with damaging things and people. The other option is Earth/Kinetics for the AoE immobilisation and knockdown.

    If I'm bringing a kinetic/? defender along, certainly. At least as long as we have a ghostie with Teleport Friend anyway (Futz?). Between Speed Boost at L12 (not quite Superspeed but it'll do for everyone except the caster) and Inertial Reduction at L18 (Super Jumping for the team). And then we've got two accelarate metabolisms (Futz and Abigail).

    With two Accelarate Metabolisms and a Speed Boost, can we perma the accelerations even before we enter Positron's Task Force by going in at at least L12? (And that also allows Futz to get group invisibility)

    Also with this group no one needs Stealth (Group invis from Illusion 'troller), no one needs travel powers (run really fast with two AMs and there's a fake superjump in kinetics)
  15. I took a look at Luck Charms and thought they were ludicrously expensive too - but it's not true that you can't make that sort of money as a lowbie. My primary (a L13 Ill/Rad) has just sold some of her salvage in the auction house. Most of it wasn't worth that much - but one L10 recipie (kismet - temp acccuracy boost) went for over 6 million, and a L11 recipie (Steadfast Protection - Knockback 3 protection) went for over 12 million. So she slotted two of her powers out with 4 slot IO sets and plans to get a lot in the late 20s (when the IOs are better than SOs - meaning she doesn't need to faff).

    Possibly this was a major windfall - but it is possible to get ludicrous amounts of cash at low level.
  16. If there's still room (or even room for a reserve) for a newbie, I'd like to join in if possible. Either with my currently L6 Plan/Storm 'troller or by making a Dark/Dark or kin/? Defender. Or possibly my primary (Paralux) if you need a scout - currently a L13 Ill/Rad who might forego Super Speed at L14 for Recall Friend (Sprint, Swift, and AM make her really fast - and Superior Invis handles the aggro).

    Thanks. So it's a long slog before getting some extremelyeffective AoEs? Thought so :-( In the meantime both Roots and O2 boost seem to be well received.

    Plant/Storm help

    I'm new to the game and have two toons on each side - Heroside I'm running two controllers. The Illusion/Radiation one is working out very nicely (even if regular ghostying doesn't gain her that many exps, and she next gets an attack power at L18 - I'm going Superspeed at L14 and Health at L16 for Stamina at L20). But my plant/storm controller is struggling against anything other than single targets - which is exactly the opposite of the way I planned him. (On single targets he stranglers and follows up with throwing knives and brawl).

    Currently L6 with Stranger, Roots, O2 boost, and hover. (Teaming helps, but the last blaster he teamed with hung round the truck at the start of the bank mish, and he couldn't take all the escapees solo). Is this a weak start or do I need groups or what?
