I would KILL for a dragon vanity pet, or better yet a Mastermind power set. Well...maybe...maybe not kill...but like...maim seriously...
  2. Thing is, some people don't know what it means to have something effect them to that degree. But sometimes something happens that just...sours you. On a time of year, on a song, on a movie. So don't let the people who don't get it bother you, and try to think as positively as possible given the situation.
  3. Eh, no harm done. Everyones got a story my friend.

    Just leave it at that.
A powerset does not always have to be widely asked for to come into being. The developers are the ones who make the decisions and pretty much anything that they serve up (that is of the quality that they are known for) will be accepted, bought, played and enjoyed.

A Clown Summoning MM set isn't just a joke... it's just a customization theme for henchmen that definitely has as much background and inspiration as most any other powerset within the game.
I'm not saying that they will ever make such a set... and I am certainly not saying that they never will make such a set.
Really, neither should you. People have lots of requests. This one, at least, is not ridiculous.
And... count me as someone who would like to see them add it in some day (even though I don't request it enough to show up on doubters' radars).
Never said they wouldn't. But there is not a massively vocal call for it. I see a post asking for it every now and then, but it never gets a lot of backing. Actually though, I said that if you can PROVE it to them, they are likely to make it. But until that point, as I said, its just an April Fools joke, and nothing more.

Second, there is a market for things of the clown summoning/ alive furniture even it if is a vanity pet.

For feedback: There is a portion of the playerbase that totally digs odd-ball antics, Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, Labyrinth, Bed-knobs and Broomsticks, and Circus type material.

Those April fool's items are things people actually WANT.

    Including the fish!
Here's the thing though: You have to consider what percentage of your audience would want said powersets. Yes, I get it, you guys want clown summoning. If that percentage ((And its a very low percentage, even by the forums already only 10% of the playerbase)) is to low, then they don't make enough money off it to make it worthwhile.

From a buisness standpoint, there just isn't enough call for a clown powerset to make it a reality. To much effort, and not enough return.

Dont tease then. thats just asking for it hehe
Just because you don't like a set doesn't change the fact that they JUST released one.

While IMO they should give us a calender either for the current month or announce things a month ahead of time, I can kind of see why they don't.

Can you imagine the RAGE if they had been saying that Staff Fighting would be released on 4/3, and then had to move the date at the last minute because there was a problem discovered?
Considering the number of people already unhappy that it just didn't come out today? I'd say the forums would be aflame...

Yeah, that thought occured to me...maybe clowns really ARE the new MM primary...*Shudders*
  10. Except that Masterminds are the AT with the least number of primary options. Melee has already gotten Street Justice and Titan Weapons.

Also Shadow, we're talking about a delay of a week or two. Its not that big of a deal. Just have a little more patience and you'll get your staff fighting.
  11. Whoah there haus! It's 600 for the both of them, or 800 normally. Same as the other similar pets, 400 a piece.

  13. Huh, guess the liger wasn't so April Fools after all.

The Carnival of Light is NOTHING like the described powerset, and has nothing to do with hu-...MOSTLY nothing to do with humor at all. Had a "Carnival of Light MM" been the requested, that I would have been able to take seriously.

Some one else said it best: This should have ended with Aneko and Darkgobs posts.

Not to mention how many 'supers' have circus/carnie backgrounds to account for their strength or agility or side-show freakishness.

Bizarre, comic-relief, side show: Not alien to the genre.
I'm going to expunge the genie from that list, and go withsaying that most of those weren't handled in an all comic relief manner. Well, depending on what version of the Joker we are talking about. Regardless, none of them were handled in the strictly-speaking circus manner, and none of those were mimes.

Its not an impossibility, nothing is really, its just an improbability. Wanting is all good and fine, but getting angry over an April Fools joke because it pokes at something improbable is just over reacting.
  17. Personally, I think Pennywise from It should be the boss level minion.

  20. Okay, I apologize, but thats more then a little ridiculous. Its CLOWN SUMMONING. Thats...how could you even begin to take that seriously? Is there anything else clown related powerset wise in this game? Don't get me wrong, I understand wanting something, but...you also have to have realistic expectations. This? Is not one. At all. So I am sorry you got your feelings hurt over this, but you really, REALLY need to learn firstly to lighten up, and secondly to not expect something THAT ridiculous.
  21. Er, April Fools? Please tell me this is an April Fools post. Please.
  22. Eh, clowns aren't that bad. The minion clowns themselves have the build up on balloon sword, and the random stumbling from 'clownish agility'. T2's are pretty limited on range with their pie throw and custard assault, but I do have to admit that confetti bomb is a killer. Its the mime that gets you though. Pantomime weapon will always, ALWAYS do at least imitation guns, and at worst you'll get invisible bomb, which stacks with the control effects of confetti bombs. The knockback on the water hose attack is also just brutal. And people thought peacebringers were bad with knockback...

Honestly, probably not. I just love the feel. Its the whole "Guys with guns" deal for me. There just something about a group of seven opening up with assault rifles on a target all at the same time that just starts a warm glow in my heart. Used to it was even better, because the shells would be strewn around the entire room. Its not the most well performing set, but I love it dearly.

That being said though, my Merc/Pain and Merc/Time can do more or less what all my other MM's can do. Just the other sets tend to be able to do it faster or more safely, or both in some cases...
  24. Mercenaries. Merc/time, Mer/pain, Merc/traps...you get the picture.
  25. Now I have NEVER moved from being a hero on my hero characters. Not once. And yet I can't pick hero alignment merits all of a sudden, except on my characters that ran the morality missions. I am not sure when this changed, since I was running SSA's before I22 came out and picking hero merits just fine.
