    Niether is a small team. I have a couple of characters who could easily solo 4 or more spawns at once.
  2. I don't think the soft controls are overpowered, but it would be a very poor blaster set without without Aim (or similar power). And it would have to be ajusted for defiance anyway.

    -Acc scales automatically with AT.

    Can't say I've ever encountered any problems logging out and back in again, in four years of play. I guess I am just lucky.

    Because they where in so much of a hurry to get the game finished that they didn't put in the time to come up with anything better.

    People don't play TFs as originally intended anyway (the original intention was you would do them over several play sessions, which is why you are locked into the team).

    Indeed, thats what the game really needs.



    I am not opposed to the idea of new TFs though. Indeed I have no objection to new villain only TFs. I'm just pointing out that single faction only TFs are never going to happen. They are to much work for to small a portion of the player base.

    A couple of possibilities come to mind:

    1) Rubble spawned as wrong level, and was +lots to you

    2) Rubble was affected by a damage buff (unlikely)

    3) You where affected by a resistance debuff.

    4) You accidently turned off a shield, or it went down without you noticing.
  7. So, what is different about CoX that means that players can make good missions in NWN, but will only be able to make sucky missions in CoX? Maybe you think that only idiots play CoX, NWN has a much smarter player base? Please explain you reasoning, because it makes no sense whatsover.

    Which is something we will certainly be able to do with the MA.

    There is also at least one non-SF villain mission where you can fight 8 heroes at once, and there are many with unique heroes.

    Opinion, yes, but mine is based on experience, where yours comes from the same place as statistics.

    However, the devs are not going to stop making missions and SFs. They have recently increased the number of mission writers on staff. Issue 15 is going to have the big push for missions and story, and will no doubt include at least one TF. What it won't be is faction specific, the TF, and probably most of the missions will be co-op.

    Lots of non-TF missions have unique maps. Several hero TFs have no unique maps. Unique maps =/= TF.

    In which you would be mistaken. As any NWN veteran who has played player created content will tell you. The main reason player made stuff is sometimes better is that players are not being payed to produce the stuff. therefore they can lavish hundreds of hours on something that professional devs have to churn out in a dozen.
  10. That's a drawback of going triform. I'm just Human/Dwarf, so I have sufficent powers. I'm also a bit spoiled by having shedloads of +recharge from sets.
  11. I'm sure we will. I expect them to start apearing about 2 weeks after it goes live.
  12. The experience with NWN was that some of the player made stuff was much better than stuff made by the devs, and it isn't had to track down because people review stuff on the forums.

    And what about the stuff in missions that have never been seen in TFs? There are good examples in the Croatoa, Faultline and Cimmora arcs.

    There is no reason you can't have a battle like the one with Romulous in a mission, and it looks like you will be able to create something similar with player made missions.
  13. You can increase the odds of getting a purple (or any) recipe drop by soloing.
  14. I love Light Form, use it far more than dwarf, since I can keep dishing out the damage with it on. And once you realise that debt is meaningless you can recover from the crash as quickly as you like by simply being defeated and self rezing.
  15. Ok, but in that case, I would like to see all contacts who shouldn't have a phone (cimmerorans, ghosts etc) never contactable by phone.

    And as some of the missions are delivery missions, they shouldn't be phonable either.
  16. Sure, we would all like new content with unique stuff, but the devs now realise that splitting the playerbase was a major error, and it is unlikely that they will ever add anything major that is limited to one or the other faction ever again.

    These are pretty important from a story telling point of view, and are about the only thing that makes use of the shared environment, so I wouldn't want these cut.
  18. Missions can contain unique bits to.

    And if you are defining your TFs by having unique bits, then villains are much better off than heroes already.

    TFs are just missions with bright shny merit rewards.

    That's why the OP doesn't care that, whilst heroes have more TFs, most of them are rubbish compared to the villain SFs.


    Whilst there is an imabalance villain side, I think that realstically it is unlikely that we will ever see any new TFs that aren't co-op.
  20. I would think Torrent or Dark Pit are as likely to get replaced with Aim as Tenebrous Tenticles. It would be nice if they went for a Soul Drain type power instead of Aim though, just for variety.

    Gloom would need to be changed too, to work with defiance. (or make Life Drain the slot 2 attack, and Gloom the high damager).
  21. Yes. 5% unenhanceable, +3% (enhancable) per team mate, up to 2.
  22. Many nukes due KB. If your Solar Flare isn't going to do enough damage to one shot most of the spawn, then you shouldn't be using it anyway.

    A PB isn't a blaster. If you play them (human form) as a blapper, they do fine.

    Don't blame the powerset for poor playing.

    Edit: Thought you where talking about Dawn Strike. Solar Flare? I didn't think anyone took that. It's a rubbish power, you can't use it in the air, and the damage sucks. About the only reason to take it is because the knockback is useful when soloing. Make it knockdown and it wouldn't even be good for that.
