    Clue at least has human characters, a location, and loose plot to work with...

    As fart as we know, it is only the KB to KD conversion that is 100%. The knockdown may only be a "chance of" proc, making it no better than KD procs that can currently be slotted in RoF.

    I like it with sets that have a little def, but are well below the cap. Especially if they have defense debuff resistance. I'm currently considering Invun/Staff.

    Maybe, but the fact that someone chose to put it with SR on a tank (it's a better combo on other ATs) and then grumbles about performance suggests someone who isn't really thinking about how they can get the best out of a powerset.

    For recharge, it probably depends on what attack chains you're going for, and to get up your AOEs faster. I know I'm looking forward to the recharge my build is going to be adding so the AOE attacks are up faster.
    Sure, but so far as I can see, not needing Haste is a perk of the SR/Staff pairing (also WP/Staff). It seems silly to pass it up.

    I also think you're discounting the end reduc more than you should. I'm not sure how well it compares to the better end use of just having form of the body going (so you use fewer attacks), but SR is toggle heavy, like Arcana said, and even without Tough going, my blue bar goes down fast. That'll get better with more IO bonuses and accolades, but it isn't something to just ignore, either.
    True. The end reduction is pretty much always good, since it allows you a level of fine control over endurance use that is otherwise impossible.

    Tanks

    You're welcome.
  7. I'm sure you Know Brian Blessed is in The Pirates! But did you know he was in it twice? On the application form for Pirate of the year their is a "Roaring" category. The boxes are labelled something like "Loud", "Very Loud" and "Brian Blessed".

    Yeah, that would have been much cooler. Mickey = Captain America, obviously; Donald = Hulk, because he is always angry; which leave Goofy as either Thor or Iron Man.

    Which is a good job too, given that none of the 5 versions are remotely close to the book...

    You could also make the case that the end discount in staff could make it easier to run tough in the first place (albeit these are non-concurrent benefits).

    Perhaps SR is not the best primary for Staff for a Tanker, but Staff might be a decent primary for SR with its optional features of end discount, +regeneration, and +resistance.
    Sure, and I made certain I didn't spay it had absolutely nothing to stack with the resistance. It's very situational though. And I'm not suggesting that SR/Staff sucks, just that it doesn't get as much leverage as some of the other powersets staff can be paired with. A number of the people not liking staff have it pared with SR.

    Actually, it's overall end redux, so for a toggle heavy set like SR FoS is very hepful to the set for that and stacked defense as well as recharge w/ Quickness and hasten.
    Why would you want Hasten on SR/Staff? Guarded Spin has a short cooldown anyway, stacking the defense buff is easy without any extra help (And isn't a melee def of 80% overkill?). You could get Elude up more often, but you should have enough defense to not need Elude. Wanting to avoid Hasten would seem to me one reason for putting SR and Staff together.

    One of the advantages of Stone/Staff is that without BU -recharge doesn't hurt damage quite as much as some of the other sets.
  14. There are a number of reasons why SR is not a good match for staff:

    1) It can cap defence easily without Guarded Spin;

    2) It doesn't have resistance to stack with the +10%, making that significantly less useful;

    3) Since Staff doesn't have BU, the +Recharge from quickness doesn't increase DPS to the extent that it does with some other sets.

    4) It's not an end hog, so FoS is of limited benefit;

    5) It isn't dependant on long cooldown clicks (apart from Elude), so FoM is of limited benefit;

    6) No damage aura in SR.

    My preferred partner sets for Tanker staff are Dark, Fire and Stone.

    This seems reasonable...
  16. A few thoughts on Bio Armor from a min/max POV (which is not to say I think it's more important than concept - it isn't).

    It's advertised as a resistance/regen/absorb set. Two of these scale with max hp, and the other benefits from a higher resistance cap. Therefore tankers and brutes might be able to squeeze a little more benefit out of Bio Armour.

    It is thought to have some damage debuff. This stacks well with melee sets that have -dmg or -recharge. Which would be the obvious Spines, Kinetic Melee, Ice (although that has it's own issues, and the rumoured Psi Melee.

    No.

    The original hazard zones where designed for street sweeping. There is a reason they have nearly all been removed. Street sweeping is is repetitive and boring.

    "Public quest" type content is another matter, and certainly something that there could be more of.
  18. I wouldn't be at all surprised if EPP customisation wasn't being worked on at this time.

    File size really isn't a significant issue.

    Yup. Issue 24 is going to be all about Praetorian Hami. Which makes it an ideal time to port Spines and add Bio Armor and Nature Affinity.

    It may not mean a full scale new zone though. It might just have a mini-zone like the Hive or the Abyss, or just be an I-Trial.

    But the current Batman franchise is more monochrome than four colour.

    And I think Superman (and Spiderman) is trying to copy it.

    This is correct.

    Which raises the issue of just how this proc works? Does it cap magnitude (in which case it would fail on very weak mobs)? Does it change the direction entirely? Does it slap a KB protection effect on the target?

    What happens if you slot it in a KU power?
  25. Is Battleship only just being released in the US?

    It came out here around a month ago. Without making much impression. A damp squib.

    Given the choice, I chose to see The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists! A far superior nautical movie (with added Brian Blessed).
