Ahhh happy birthday Mr. Kirby! Now i can make my 80's style plasma-blast fantasies come true. Very very "Sunspot" effect.

not a bad idea. I just need to find the time to call them.

So busy these days. Finally able to log on today and ...no "seven years of super rewards" for me. What gives? I was active, the bank certainly agrees with me there.
...HALP! I PM'd one of our community mods. Is there anyone else I should contact? -

My question has been answered. The developers are on track with everything they have said at HeroCon, at least that is my understanding based on the knowledge I have at the moment. Thank you.

I found it a fun arc overall. Definitely one that I would run again and recommend for people to try.[/QUOTE]
Well thank you very much for the critique! I'm always pleased to get constructive criticism and plan to improve this arc as the MA improves. -
Quote:Yes. But I'm still waiting. Persistent or stubborn, however you want to look at it.I am bad at counting. Sorry.
I would say at this point everything had been explained to the ground and people are just grinding the wheels, as it were.

Quote:Well, yes. If only.Star Wars in an underground environment is not Star Wars.
To explain further, sometimes stories require a particular setting. If that setting is only available in one map (or two or three), you have to accept the possible deficiencies of those maps and go forward. OR, you could change the story to fit the deficiencies of said map(s) but again, in some cases, that would be like setting Star Wars underground (or underwater).
Mainly his complaints were absurd because 1) The maps were/are not missing in extensive testing by several people including myself 2) If a mini-map is NOT available, it is by design. I know some maps are that way by design. I believe the INTERIOR of the prison outbreak is like that, but really how much of a map do you need for the 50 feet or so of prison?
In short, after 45 ratings, nobody has ever mentioned a missing mission map OR prisoners not following. I suspect he's just having issues with the game on his end and then flipped his wig. In the end, I found the fury of his complaints to be very very funny. I suppose humor is subjective and not shared by anyone else here. Fair enough. -

Quote:If this is the case, if it's smart, I'll be retooling my missions for sure.I really hope they make this reasonable, rather than the current system where customes need to have two or three times the number of powers as most normal mobs to get full xp. Also some way of seeing how much xp a mob will give while creating it, instead of making it and testing the mission only to find some of your mobs give no xp.

Can we USE the cogs? That would be amazing. If we can I never noticed them.

Quote:Quite right. As for speculation, I feel the only good speculation that can be done at this time is:Continually reinterating your argument (which has been made by no less than 5 others in this thread) doesn't make it any more true. If anything, it hurts your position, and makes it less true, because you're trying so hard to make everyone else (and possibly yourself) believe it. I don't really think there's much of an "argument" left really, Demon Summoning, and at one point Ultra mode, were major draws of GR, and are now no longer "considered GR content", some may believe that, some may not, we shall see what happens, but I personally don't consider it "alright", though talking about it clearly doesn't get one anywhere on either side, because as always, it's "up to the devs".
1) The Development Team is busy hammering out bugs and are too busy to worry about this (this may be very sticky territory to state)
2) The Development Team is prepping for PAX East.
3) <more of a fact> The Development Team is attending GDC in SanFran to some degree
I don't subscribe to the "They can do whatever they want so stop mentioning their promises" mentality (not that you said that Peerless but others did). I also don't feel they've broken any promises as of yet. The HeroCon presentation was presented as fact and thus far, they've not broken any concrete promises as far as I can tell.
Not that anyone reads this when I type it, but again, the post wasn't about demanding entry into anything, is was about soliciting clarification *one way or the other* I don't care which. I repeat myself occasionally but I know there's no point in trying to keep this train on the rails. It's like making a campfire to boil water and all everyone else (with exception) wants to do is light torches and run around the forest setting things alight. Very annoying but that's the internet and especially forums.

Quote:Never said I was upset, now did I? On the contrary, it was an amusing diversion of nonsensical complaints. Additionally, I feel you may not fully grasp the concept of critique. Generally a critique is from a peer, someone with knowledge of the medium and how it works. Often helpful suggestions that might assist toward possible improvement.I understand his critique, but not your post.
Why are you upset about his feedback?
Here, I'll give you an example, using your original post in this thread.
Critique:
"Perhaps in the future, Bionic Flea, when aiming to incite hostile conversation in a passive aggressive manner, do not start the statement with a declaration of your lack of mental cohesion. Other than that, I feel you followed through well and you certainly seem committed to the task of flaming the thread, an attempt at light humor. Good luck with your endeavors.
Complaint: Your opening was weak, and I don't like that your avatar badge had blue in it, don't quit your day job.
---
See the difference there Bionic Flea? Good day.
In regards to your question Smurphy: I felt the original post spoke for itself but for you, I shall afford some clarification because we're close friends. The "awesomeness" lies in it's similarity to one of my favorite websites: http://clientsfromhell.tumblr.com/ which is a blog dedicated to the irrational complaints of many many clients. I've had experiences like this in the past and when the above comment about my work popped up, it stood head and shoulders above the rest of the comments, and while not all comments were glowing praise, nobody said anything so irrational. -

So, my arc "Evil By Inches" was a concept piece and admittedly, it was intended to be tricky in the prison, as to the prisoners... I've gotten very positive feedback thus far and this one came out of the blue. Is anyone as baffled as I am?
Quote:If only I'd have included a map for that building! What was I thinking!?2010-03-11 13: 09:08 Message From @Pyrantus : Feedback on Architect Mission Evil By Inches: VERY annoying mission. "Prisoner did not follow when supposed to. No map to follow inside building. Don't quit your day job
I had to share this one as it stands alone, a monolith of awesomeness. -
I believe a screenshot would have been over the line (and not what I want to see here). I believe it's not a secret that demon summoning is in test, I recall reading it myself recently from a redname. I could be wrong, my memory isn't what it once was.

For as a short a time as you've been with CoH, Zander, you sure do call a lot of people ignorant. Humility might suit you better.

Quote:there's no such thing a setting a precedent when it comes to Devs deciding who gets into a CB.
And in this case there's nothing stating that they have to open I17's CB to Vet/Loyal/Comicon folks.
"Waves will continue up to launch."
I believe Diggis is correct.
Closed beta may, at the moment, not be open to people mentioned on the list there, but this thread has only ever been about clarification (a the risk of being redundant). -
The majority of these comments are rude, self-congratulatory back-slapping of superiority with each other in an effort to deride me. I've stated several times what I'm interested in seeing in this thread, if you don't have that to offer or have said your piece, please, I'm not asking to be berated, move on.

If it was clear that this current incarnation of the test server was closed to everyone, I wouldn't have asked because it contains significant parts of GR and therefore many people could wonder if the loyalty/hero-con/Vet status applied. That's not clear, no matter if some think it is as I've not seen any hard facts in quote, just opinions. I don't disagree with everyone's responses as rather good guesses, but some of the responses are just attempting to be rude. I can do without those. I'm content to wait for facts. When I see facts, one way or the other, my search will be over. Thanks.
