Just a thought, but are the mayhem mission badges maybe a bit too easy to get? I'm only L13, but I so far have Impounder, Outlaw, Safe Cracker and Vandal. Considering they are the ones in every MMission, shouldn't they be a bit higher?
-
One little thing I love - When you enter a bank, the normal people run for the doors. Nice touch
Also, a bug. On the KR map, when you leave the pawnbrokers I am sent back to Port Oakes, not outside. -
Just a thought by the way, but if you're complaining about difficulty it might help the Devs if you tell them what you have it set at?
-
It kindof makes me smile that we've had complaints that the Hero was a Lt, and the Hero was too difficult
So far I've only fought Lts and Bosses, so can't really comment. -

-The basic punk sometimes looks like a cool guy, but sometimes he looks like a really grungy, pot smoking embarassment. I like the randomly generated appearance, but sometimes the appearance can be pretty bad. Suggestion: Remove the nappy looking hairstyles from their possible appearances.

I'd like to see it where we could choose how our minions look. Not in a costume designing way, I know that'd be a nightmare. But something where we could pick from the Thugs available who will be Thug #1, Thug #2 and so on.
I do like their look though. Why would a thug be anything else but looking like a random guy of the street? -
Love the pistols and their animations and sounds
Also, I like the standard thugs. They look like a random guy off the street when at their most bog-standard. -

The name, image, powers, situations and actions of a character as portrayed in your novel are yours.
The name, image, powers, situations and actions of a character as portrayed in (or created using the tools of) CoX belong to CoX.
If both are identical, CoX wins. Unless you had a previous copyright/trademark, you have just 'gifted' NCSoft with your creation.
If you had a previous legal claim, by terms of your tacit agreement with the EULA, CoX still wins. They own your character until you point out to them that you have a previous claim.
When they become aware that they have your copywrtten/trademarked character in their game, they will 'genericize' (randomize the appearance and/or ban it until the name is changed) it and warn you not to use such characters in their game.
If you want to use a previously-owned character in their game, contact them and have them ask the character's owner (who might be you) for permission to use/portray the character. Good luck.
I am not a lawyer, but I do have good reading comprehension and I have read the EULA.

So in other words, short version, Cryptic "owns" every single character name on *every* single server now created by players? Keep in mind that there are characters where a "name" appears under multiple companies, with multiple core concepts/images/appearance.
Captain Marvel & Firestar, for instance.

What defines identical though. If my blue skinned, white haired merfolk in my story and in CoH are the same, but they have two totally different backgrounds and histories, is that different enough?
[/ QUOTE ]
In theory no, as they own the look. But I suppose you could argue, it's not like a blue skinned white haired race is unique. -

..the same way heroes do... by having 40 levels of prior experience. Heck, by your logic, how do you get any powers other than the two you start out with?
[/ QUOTE ]
You train with people. In COH, you train with other heroes. Villains are just less likely to give something for nothing -

Hey, here's a novel idea! If you don't like the powers/don't want to be an Arachnos flunky, don't do the missions! Just sayin'.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've got a better idea! How about we get powers without being flunky the way the heroes do! Just sayin'.
[/ QUOTE ]
How would you get the powers? Who would train you in these new ways? They're villains, they wont do soemthing for nothing.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can beat up the patrons and take their powers. Simple, really.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're L40, and you will beat up a L50 Elite Boss, plus their minions of which many will be L41-50? -

I love that stalkers get a Snipe and a Pet,both will be useless in PvP.The Dev that came up with these powers for a stalker needs the boot.

....What? The person who decided on some powers you don't like deserves to get fired? -

3. Pets for every archetype(why would a stalker want, much less need a pet? can you say LIABILITY?)

If you're in a team fighting a large powerful group, bringing an extra body in can be a big aid IMO. -
I don't have a problem with having to choose a side.
Your character wouldn't take a side? Firstly, Arachnos would destroy you, as they busted you out and suddenly you decide to fly solo. Secondly, look at the Sith. The apprentice will often learn from the master so they can overthrow them and take the power. Is your character not going to learn new abilities from people more powerful? Maybe your character is plotting to overthrow them at the right time, maybe you are doing it in a "I do your dirty work, you show me the power" sort of situation.
Personally, my main isn't a super evil character. He feels he is between a rock and a hard place, where he has to side with Arachnos just to survive. So, why would he choose a side? Because it's safer to have someone with you than be on your own -

Because there are *TWO* costume items and both are named Stocking Cap. I missed this. One is the one I posted [and is old, i thought something was up] And the other is your santa hat.
Done.

I missed this the first time too -

I liked the mission where you drop in on a 'deal' between the Freaks and the Skyraiders, and at the end you find this Freakshow boss dancing around next to a Skyraider commander saying:
"C'mon! Flying Freaks! It'll be awesome!"
"Are you serious?"
"Just weld a rocket to my back and let's do this!"
[/ QUOTE ]
Loved that one
