  1. Hi all,

I managed to get a few days off and I'm looking to run a couple of TFs tomorrow, 10-16-09.

    I'm thinking:

    Citadel's around 10:00am Pacific Time

Sister Psyche after we finish Citadel's so somewhere around 11:30ish to noon.

I know it's short notice, but is anyone interested? I'm also open to suggestions.
  2. Awesome, glad to hear everyone enjoyed themselves. The next TTJ will be on November 10th. Pass the word and we'll see you there!

Ah, well that explains it then...although I was sure at one point it was stunning Lts... In any case I can definitely see how SM or EM would supply more synergy. The other thing I noticed was the set seems to eat End. I used Gift of the Ancients where I could and Impervium Armors to help with End Recovery. I'm tempted to try a DA/Axe or a DA/SS... but right now I distracted by Shield and Electric flashy lights...
  4. I have a Dark/Ice/Enrg that I leveled to 50. What I noticed was that OG didn't seem to have much affect on +2 Lts or better. Not sure if this was a bug, just my experience, Acc slotting isn't high enough (I think it is around 45%) or what. I ended up not going with either OG or CoF, instead I kept Ice Patch and Energy Torrent to maximize the number of goons I could keep KD'd. I found this combo more effective than DAs inherent powers. I did take all the "Armors" and ended up with around 26% Melee Defense , 24% Range and AoE Defense without expensive IOs Sets. Believe it or not even those "low" defensive numbers help.

I do like the resists to Psi and Energy Drain (Carnies and Malta are not a problem at all), but not sure I'll roll another DA.
  5. I do the same with my Shield/Fire. I tend to jump in, survive the alpha then fire off FSC, SC and Fireball. Usually there's not much left afterwords. I also tend to use a similar tactic with my Shield/SS. Getting the buff definitely helps with the damage output and the rapid arresting of mobs.

Oh, I also kinda' do the "one alligator, two alligator" count before unloading on the mobs.
  6. Another great TTJ! Thanks all for showing up and making the event a success! See you all at TTT next week!
  7. Another great Tanker Tuesday! I'd like to thank everyone for showing up. We had at least three teams. Ran Citadel and managed to take out Adamastor on the way out of the zone. See you on the Tour next week.
  8. Tanker Tuesday tonight! I'm thinking first respec or Synapse tonight.
  9. Tanker Tuesday tomorrow! If you don't have a Tank it's time to roll one. Double xp continues through today and there's nothing like experiencing a team of Tanks running riot through the missions and TFs of Paragon City. Come join the fun. All levels and power sets are welcome as long as you're a Tank. We'll meet in King's Row by IP Gate at 6pm PT/9pm ET and get things rolling from there.

See you all there! Any requests for TFs or Trails? I'm thinking maybe one of the respec trails. I'll check to see what other TFs Shield Blitz needs. Or, I'll be running my new Elec/Fire (of course) Faust 1394.

    Reactivation

I'd be up for a Blue side Hami Raid, been ages since I've done one.
  11. TT the original is on Champion the First Tuesday of every month.

TTJ is on Justice the second Tuesday of every month.

TTT (the Tour) is going to servers in alphabetical order (I think Protector is next) these happen on the 3rd Tuesdays of every month.

TT Reloads run on the 4th Tuesdays (and 5th if the month has one) and are generally requests from folks that missed the tour or enjoyed it so much they'd like to have another round of TT fun.

Start/meeting time for all TTs is 6pm PT/9pm ET, in King's Row at IP Gate.
  12. TTJ this coming Tuesday, October 13th at 6pm PT/9pm ET in King's Row by IP Gate. All power sets and levels welcome as long as you're a Tank!!

    See ya' all there!
  13. Next TTJ will be on October 13th, 6pm PT/9pm ET. Meet at IP Gate in King's Row. See ya' all there!
  14. Thanks to all the organizers and Net for setting up a great event! TT #60 was awesome!

I'm not sure of cost but 200-400 sounds right, but I have like 6-8 billion and growing so I'm not a casual gamer by any stretch of the imagination.
Thanks for the info, that's pretty much what I figured and it does provide a nice Tank sans Granite (that is Granite as an oh !%3!! armor), but not for the casual player. It's definitely a project Tank unless you've got inf to back it.

I'm still thinking that Invuln or Shield might better meet the OPs purpose. I'd personally look at Invuln as it's a very durable set which can be enhanced quite nicely for a modest investment.
  16. Those are some nice numbers which sets did you use?

Base numbers (no offensive sets figured in, using just common IOs):

S/L Defense is around 33%, with Weave, Resist 25% with Tough
    Fire/Cold Defense 7.9% (39.4% Resist)
    Eng/Neg Defense 33.1%
Psi 47.5% which is a good number

Looks like the build would require approx 2-3 sets on Kinetic Combat or equivalent which would run approx what now around 300-640 million or more?

Are you after Mud Pots or after a Tank that can soak alphas without Granite? If the former (you really like the power Mud Pots, the look of it or feel) then you are pretty much committed to the Stone Armor set. If not, and you're really after an mobile alpha soaker then I'd recommend Invuln.

If you're just trying to run a Stone Armor Tank sans Granite for fun and the challenge then go for it. I just did a quick run through Mid's to see how it would work using common IOs just to get a feel for the numbers. Personally, it would be a bit weak coming out of the gate (for me at least) and would take some definite love/inf to bring the numbers up.
  18. One week 'til TTJ! If you don't have a Tank, roll one and get ready for the fun!

Also don't forget to check out the ultimate Tankiness tonight on Champion as TT turns 60!!

    See you all there!

Maybe it should be held on a decent server like Virtue or Freedom from here out so it can get some love.
There's a buncha' people supporting the TT 60 event.

As for other names you might see:

Pep's been Captaining the TTs and running the tour.

I've been doing "reloads" of the tour and just started TTJ (Tanker Tuesdays on Justice, second Tuesday of each month same Tank time, same Tank place).

We've been to Freedom several times, once on the initial leg of the tour, and at lease once more since then. IIRC the server with the best continuous "reload" turn out (also my "home" server ) was Justice, which is why we've started TTJ.

The tour hasn't been to Virtue yet, but is on the way.

oh, just wanted to add: I'm up for a TT anywhere. Let me know if you need Tanks to start one on Virtue.
  20. I just started a Elect/Fire. He's only level 5 so far but already I can see greatness in him. Can't wait 'til he's in hes 30s
  21. Solidarity brother! Looking forward to see you there!
  22. My vote would be (in no particular order):
    Shield/Fire/Pyre
    Ice/Fire/Pyre (or Energy Mastery)
Fire/Fire/Pyre (or Energy Mastery, in case you need to keep them on their backsides in and Burn longer, also a great opener.)
  23. NuclearMedicine

    Burn/Ice Patch

Just in case Fault and Tremor weren't enough bounce, there's also Energy Torrent from Power Master. It does tend to KB a bit more with even cons (and lower) than the other two but can be a great way to open as it provides KD at range. So you can Energy Torrent>Burn>Fault>Termor (as they get up)>Burn>Fault...etc...

Not that you need to do that, just though I'd mention it.
  24. Hi all, I posted the announcement for TTJs. Here's the link.
