How many well 'seasoned' or 'experienced' players would you say would be required to run a hamiraid now if they all had t4 incarnate powers. You can successfully run a shipraid with the minimum required players to spawn a gm (3 players)
I know shipraids are way easier than a hamiraid. But as long as the tank is alive you really only have controls to worry about with the greens and then you just need some melee yellows and some ranged for blues. So what, maybe 20 players minimum, perhaps less? I've yet to really even try and lead one of these so I have nothing to compare to but we were running these quite well before incarnate trials. But normally with 40 or more players. -
Really? I would think atleast 30 - 40 players (probably dont need that many) have atleast 1 level 50 vigilante or rogue. If not a villain. Unless vigilantes and rogues can't enter hami zones? I usually bring a hero to all hero side raids so I've never tried.
-
When is the last time some lead a hamiraid on red side? We do them on blueside alot but I'd like to see one lead on redside sometime. Shouldn't be too hard with the amount of rogues and vigilantes we have.

Oh good. I happen to be off work tommorow as well.
-
Looks better but I think you should keep the minion and the death mage is the original costumes they had but update the textures.

Didn't show up on mine, still doesn't. For me those ads on the old launcher dont show up when the connection 1 2 3 4 thing is still there. Only show up once you have the option to click next or accept the EULA.
-
You guys should really put some sort of notice on the old launcher linking people to the knew one. Not everyone is going to read the forums. Especially new players that just go out and buy the game from a store or from a game site.

Hell just froze over NAR. Grats.

Commented on a dev post and having an opinion about stuff apparently makes people ignorant to you. It seems to be impossible to carry on a conversation with half the people on these boards nowdays. You continue to prove that with the rudeness of responses calling me ignorant, telling me I don't know what I'm talking about because I don't have facts. Well you don't have facts to prove that I don't have facts buddy. You have the same information that I do unless you happen to work with them. But I can tell from your posts that you think you have all the answers here and are so sure of yourself so theirs no use for an ignorant person such as myself in trying to carry on an intelligent conversation with a person of your intellect.

Quote:On the topic of hires wings I really wish you gave us a highres headband wing costume piece. I like the old wings more because of the headband/tiara thing they have with wings attached to it. Ofcourse don't get rid of the old version but if we could select a highres version of it instead it would be a welcomed update. In some cases, I don't think it's a problem to make signature characters out of CC parts. Valkyrie's a good example--her concept is that she's an armor-clad warrior with a mythical flavor, and you've done an excellent job showing how it could be done using "off the shelf" parts. And as new options (like Ascension and Celestial Armor for example) continue to come online, it's increasingly doable. I'd use the highres wings instead, but otherwise, I dig what you've done here.
But if a character's core concept requires something we simply COULDN'T make in the CC, then yes--of course it should be built from scratch. As with everything, it's always a question of resources. Where is the team's time better spent: on a signature character or on a new costume set for you guys? In general, I think fans are happier when we go with the latter more often than not, but obviously we're still making plenty of from-scratch signatures too. It's just a matter of finding the perfect ratio. -
Quote:That is pretty bad for Harley but look at how they destroyed supergirl. Looks like shes wearing a toddlers swimsuit. Ofcourse they have been destroying her for last couple years with all the remakes they keep doing. The new line of dc costumes are so terrible I don't think I'll be reading anymore DC comics.Agreed! Don't turn any of them into jeans and a shirt wearing superheroes. Boring and lame!
And don't make any radical changes like Harley Quinn! I love the new look. I just don't love it for Harley Quinn!
Though radical changes to Sister Psyche and Swan I can probably overlook.
Sister Psyche's outfit in game just doesn't look great like it can in the comics.
And Swan...she just just looks freaky. -
My poetry was aimed more at that special player broken voltage (Devs bless him.) and not towards you. Despite that very last sentence in your post, I disregarded it.
You try to make a post or suggestion to change something and the folks on this forum get all bent out of shape the minute someone makes a comment that isn't praising everything they do for this game. If it isn't 100% positive people panic. And nothing will ever improve in this game so long as people remain silent or keep telling them to keep up the good work. Too many times people tell them exactly what they want to hear and it's disgusting. It's about as generic as one of those telemarker greetings.
Having an opinion about something doesn't make one ignorant. I see how they are handling things and I think they could be doing a whole lot better if they focused on one project instead of scattering resources all over. Its not hard to understand, I don't even know why I'm trying to explain myself here. -
Quote:ooo I love poetry!WOW you could give some of these guys gold bars and tell them no strings attached, you can have it, cash it in for monies, or keep it to look at and they'd throw it back in the devs' face saying they don't need help with monies or think it was fools gold or something... Jeez the nerve of some people.. I remember when we were lucky to get one issue a year.... v_v The amount of entitlement on this forum is crazy. You don't like the awesome amount and quality of work the devs are doing, pack up your 15 monies a month and found another game to complain about.... >_>
To Op: It's ok Second Measure, you just get titan Weapons out asap, the letters a second to getting awesome work done.
WOW I remember when you could use the forums as place for feedback without being flamed or bashed for it. Jeez the nerve of some people, how could they complain about such a great game or not pat the backs of those hard working devs? No they should just blindly play and never say anything negative, only positive things must be said about this game. To complain might hurt the devs emotionally and lower content efficiency.
The amount of dev worship on this forum is crazy. You don't praise them for everything they do then you must be insane. If you complain for even a minute you should hang your head in shame and just go play another game. -
Please don't change or alter the original hamidons appearance. Leave it for nostalgia sake.

YES FINALLY. 12 more character slots! I have been hoping we'd get this someday. *Opens wallet, grabs credit card*

Quote:19.5 and 20.5 were updates not issues. What they should really do is release issue 21 in late august and add the new powersets that are premium to the ncsoft store until freedom is added (after proper testing) and do 21.5 update to add the freedom system and the vip servers, and the ingame store, etc. Because we know that freedom is whats slowing down the update. This way they can still be close the usual 3 months.
So far this year, we've gotten i19.5, i20, i20.5, and we're definitely getting i21/CoHF within the next few months. That's a pretty good year for releases, especially since i21 looks to be the largest non-expansion release we've ever gotten.
Dividing up an already limited dev team to work on multiple issues at once rather than pull your resources together to focus on one project at a time is why things are so slow now. It never took this long to get an update. -
That wasn't full issue that was just something the gave us due to people complaining about having only 2 trials to do. About as small of an update as issue 15. They might have issues finished quicker if they stopped working on 2 or 3 of them at once and focused all efforts on one issue at a time.
-
Bah, getting slower and slower with issue release dates. I had really hoped to see issue 21 in august. That would of put it at 4 months since the last issue. (August 5 is three months since issue 20 release) I really want to blast things with my beam rifle and fly with my rocket board!
Oh well... -
Didn't stop champions online from having iceslide. Or any of the other travel powers such as grappling hook (batman).
-
Reichsman and Nemesis have always stood out as the cool villains to me. Atleast the current nemesis that we are allowed to see because we all know he looks different and isn't showing his true self.

Quote:Are those wings going to flap or just be in a fixed state? I really hope they do have an option to flap because if those are the wings i've seen in a recent video they will be the perfect wings for my 2 phoenix characters. Now that is an awesome thought. I LOVE the idea of adding new travel powers as often as possible for a couple of reasons: a) players clearly love 'em and b) it diversifies the big picture vista of the city at any given moment. With new additions like Beast Run, Rocketboard, and the energy contrails produced by the Celestial Armor wings, we're really starting to see a lot of color and variety in the way heroes and villains travel. To me, that's exactly what a City of Heroes should look like, and the more the merrier.
So yeah, broomstick would be killer. And by the way, it's not that there wasn't tech to support Rocketboard; rather, animation time was the major consideration. Would be very curious to ask the animators about the possibility of broomsticks now... -
Very interesting shipraid. We had more people bring HVAS than I had expected and it definitely made things die faster and you should of earned more merits in the process. I typically bring one every raid sometimes one before we start and summon another when he dies and usually make well more than the 500 merits I spend for those two. But then again I'm long past finished buying the costumes and earning the badges, I'm just here for the fun when shipraids are concerned. Maybe at some point I'll work on other badgers that needs the badges though.
Hoping to see more people bring hvas/longbow bots to the next raid. The more the better! See you Sunday. -
I again ask you, why are you against something optional? Here I'll point you the part where I said it was optional for those that don't want to use it.
These account labels/titles would have 3 options:
Always show
Only show I'm a team leader
Only show when Im a league leader
Never show
I think even a toggle button could be added to the team or league UI to enable/disable the icons or titles on the fly.
And what about finding out account access info for leagues. This solves that problem so you don't invite those 3 or 4 free to play people that don't know that they don't meet all the account requirements. So you instead could invited the people you need rather than waste time. Potential headache avoided.
And as for the big red x prompts. We don't have anything visual right now that's going to tell us that someone is a free to play or premium player when we attempt to start a trial so we need something like this for them and at the same time it solves all the other problems. -
Quote:I disagree. Scattering mobs all over when they could be killed quicker before they become a threat is not ok. Not everyone can control knockback and some sets do alot of it. Some people using said knockback powers don't even want knockback but enjoy the sets damage type and animations. Some want the knockback solo but not on a team.Bill, I'm ashamed of you.
KB is fine as is, except for a bunch of whiners who won't learn to use it, and of course the melee players who still whine for healers on their team.
Forget them, wash your hand of the losers, and move on.
/thread
Nothing wrong with an optional feature to turn off knockback. You can still use it when you want to. That's why its optional.
