  2. I went in a different direction and i took the Earth Mastery; if you happen to go that way, +defense to soft cap is easy, then focus on + acc and the Force Feedback Proc in fissure. Its an odd way to go but i do boss farms better then tanks and fire/kins/fires.

    Hypothetical;
    Mind/Nrg, 2 knocks that can be used in succession, PB confuse, PBed Hold and huge damage vs a FotM Psi/EM/Cold. NOW lets give each KB a 2 second "get up" time. Facing a blaster, who can attack through hold/sleep/stun, PB Confuse= 7-8 second; Knockdown 2 seconds (Not sure exact time); Knockup 2 seconds.

    NOW using I13 numbers, during the confuse only i can put down around 700ish damage.

    Now as i understand the numbers are a bit more then having domination on with I13 numbers: 950 damage.

    NOW thats only if the dom uses TF + Dominate + Mezmerise + Levitate. Thats in about 8 ish seconds now levitate at the end adds anouther 1-2 seconds to the time where nothing can really do anything. Lets add powerburst to the end; 1179 damage. in 10 seconds. these damage numbers are prolly way low, and this is situation a NO DR SITUATION 40% base resist accounted for.

    The said Blaster would die in the next cycle.

    Now, the best and quickest burst damage is a Psi/EM for blasters:

    Attacks :::AIM+BU+WILL DOM+TK BLAST+Mental Blast
    Activation Time:::1.17|1.17| 1.1 | 1 | 1.67

    +Bone Smasher+Total Focus
    1.5 | 3.3 |

    Damage after 40% resist: 1711
    Activation time: 10.9

    NOW while blasters might look to have the better side of the damage;1. the blaster is prolly not in melee range 2. The enemy hasnt thrown anything, which can be a damage debuff ect. WHile your taking the damage from the dom YOU *CAN'T* fight back, on the other hand u can fight back while under the blasters attack.


    PS Damage calculations are probably a little low, but the base reason *why* the AT is OP should be rather apparent.

    Lets, assume that, "hypocthetically", the Blaster just sits there and does nothing but sticks his thumb in his ear as the Dominator is attacking him. I think the Dominator would win, which is hypothetically and quite CLEARLY OP, because a Blaster should be able to beat a Dominator even when he's AFK, so with our above situation, something is definately borked.

  5. I guess the devs do deserve the credit, they do in fact listen to more subjective feedback then most other MMOs but still listening to 0.000001% of player feedback is still better then not. The amount that they listen to player feed back is bigger then that, but its never on more then cosmetic changes. The rest of the changes are usually based on data.

    Rite now, if you take the man hours to analyze the pvp activity IN-DEPTH, there is very little. The amount the pvp content is being used has gone UP, but thats more due to pvp io farming and badge hunting than anything. It's really a dead issue, many of the players who care to notice, have noticed the general decline of pvp popularity.

    Funniest thing is, they've given back almost everything. I doubt they will give back the mez changes, but those are...livable and easy to learn. A no squishy res and we will be as close as we can get.

    (Lol getting options to go back to I12 almost in full; but not admitting it was a failure.)

    OBTW: Triumph side, server-wise, I haven't seen anything but a decline pvp and Subsequent migration of pvpers to freedom.

    That build is a pve build, if it includes flight, rule of thumb, its most likely a pve build, try mine.

    Edit: Included Build Overall Build Export; Throw stealth IO in sprint or SS(I Prefer Sprint); open slot on AS is for PvP IO proc.

    Regen has no repel resist, they would get close, hit AS and be interrupted as they are slowly repeled away from the target.

  15. I can't see how the population has increased in any amount, ive only seen decrease and overall migration to Freedom. My home server of triumph has lost 4 pvpers that i know completely, as well as a few casual pvpers. I myself find it to be alot more annoying to pvp then before. Perhaps they are only measuring freedom's pvp population, becuase Triumph has all but died.

    The mez/KB issue is a bug because it's not following existing mechanics. Here's how it works (to the best of my knowledge):

    * You get mezzed.
    * You get hit with a power that does KB.
    * You get KB'd.

    The reason this is happening is because being mezzed is causing your KB protection to suppress (it shouldn't, as KB protection is considered defensive). Note that it only happens to toggle-based mez protection - powers like Practiced Brawler as well as slotted or ally-buffed protection (-KB IOs, set bonuses, Increase Density) are not affected by this because they're passive and don't suppress.

    To the best of my understanding suppression is put in place of toggle dropping, and even during toggle dropping, being mezzed wouldnt drop practiced brawler or rin. Considering the small amount of click status protections there are, to "fix" this working game mechanic would technically be a nerf to one of the sets that is doing the worst at the moment. I still see the mechanics of suppression working on everything, but if these toggles didnt suppress, all melee ATs would be immune to KB. The balancing factor between the two is that practiced brawler needs to be slotted or needs outside influences to be perma like toggles. In both cases under different situations they both are better then each other. But in no way do i see it to be a bug that these are suppressing it would make KB utterly useless against a majority of the AT's in the game.

    Do you have tactics?
    Did you slot for ACC?
    Did you stop moving?

    A few suggestions:

    Dont stop moving

    You're a D3 fender, you have some debuffs, the one debuff your missing is -def, meaning you want to slot for accuracy and global accuracy bonus.
  22. Just chiming in again, subjective feedback is hard to interpret, its true, but when pvp in general takes a decline, thats beyond feedback its hard core data.

    Triumph, one of the servers i regularly play consisted of maybe 5-6 hard core pvpers, several casual, now we are down to maybe 3 hardcore and very few casuals(Speaking of RV). I have even noticed subtle signs of decline on freedom. Arena is artificially inflated due to arena badges and pvp ios, but if you pay attention, the arena population has declined as well, and those who stayed play without the new TS and HD as well as wanting to get rid of DR but not wanting to include the huge squishy res.

    It's not a case of subjective feedback when the data backs it up. Only thing keeping the devs from admitting failure is the amount of manpower they put into truely genius changes, but refuse to admit they implemented them the wrong way.

    Just a thought.
  23. Emp fenders still do ok.....I've seen good rad/sonics as have already been discussed, but overall i agree, defenders need a little bit of a boost. Bbbbbut since we're asking for a buff devs will prolly nerf everything so bad defenders do good.
  24. Whether its a bug or not, and whether or not its going to be fixed, i find it to be a relatively minor bug in most cases. I do not beleive its a bug becuase it exists to work within the game mechanics, could be a remain of I12-I13 issue transisitions, but i don't see it changing.
