Quickest 2:02, Longest 2:16, in 3 successful attempts with 3 different ATs (Scrapper/Tanker/Fender).
Quickest way to complete it is an 8 man team, with at least 4 lvl 50 alts. You don't need a dedicated healer, but certainly speeds the whole process up! -
I couldn't be bothered with the proper é.

Touche.
.... and thanks for pointing out my typo.
/em lashes himself for poor spelling. -
Then I won't keep searching for something that currently doesn't exist. Thank you for your replys!

In the near future we will be making use of some previously unused Character options and we want you to be aware of them so you can configure them to suit you. In the Options menu, under the Miscellaneous section, there are four web options:
These Web options will soon be used. If you do not wish to have your characters information be displayed on the World Wide Web, you will want to configure them to be Enabled. If you enable Hide Statistics from Web Page, none of your information will display. If that option is disabled, then you can configure the next three options: Powers, Badges and Friends List. By default, your Statistics, Powers and Badges will be on, but Friends List will be off.
[/ QUOTE ]Can anyone point me in the right direction to find any online statistics? Or has this not gone live yet? -
Well then, that's a severe allergy you have then, but not a true addiction to altoholism. You must be an even more casual gamer than I am. I hope you'll 2nd (50) comes quicker than your first! Congo Rats once again though!

so once 50 people get bored again due to lack of content, and start grinding another character
[/ QUOTE ]Nice Genralisation!! I for one, have 3 lvl 50s and never get bored of playing them. Infact the only one I've run out of standard content on is my Villain, who is currently doing all the Ouroboros missions solo, to try and slow him down. My original 50, still hasn't completed all the PI arcs yet, and he dinged the "big one" over 19 months ago, go figure!
Getting back to the debt debate (you know the original thread topic), I agree with reducing the debt limit back to lvl 5, and increasing the debt cap (all blasters like max debt at all times,)... but I'd also implement changes. Some of my earlier posts have been quite radical, but I'd like to see something implemented which strikes a compromise, which will not turn new or exisitng ppl away, or hinder the speed of xp gain.
Debt will never be removed, because it is linked to badges. I'd personally like to see it amended in some way or other, which will slow it's repayment down, but still make it easy to pay back, unlike the debt recieved between i5 and i7. I still think that debt should be proportional to the team size and the playing difficulty, when the defeat occurs. -
From personal experience, soloing a Claws/Regen is easy, but doesn't become extremely easy, until you get Focus. Recommend taking fly pool for Air superiority too. As you can knock them down, then knock them back, rinse repeat. But compared to a MM, you have to do the work yourself, you can't sit back and do nothing...
.
Also easy to solo a Tank, in fact least likely to die doing this, but most builds will eat your end fast pre lvl 20, so you will need to rest a lot, or get the best DO/SO/IOs available at the earliest opportunity.
Infact it's pretty easy to solo with any AT, it just means that you have to adapt your playstyle and tactics accordingly. I've found Fenders to be the hardest to solo, but still possible. -
After everything I have said recently about evening TFs, it appears that I can actually make this one.
Signing up with Unjust Law - 50 - Fire/Axe Tank -
Wd on the achievement Robo.
When you say altisim? How many is that?
I have 26 now, not included the long dead deleted ones, and I've only managed to get 3 of them up to the top perch! -
Well yesterday didn't quite go to plan, lots of immaculate planning, only to stand around for a while, trying to get people to join. Nevermind, managed to start and complete both taskforces in the end.

As with the normal territory, rubbish rare recipes.
I know it's random, but they could cut the chaff out, as this would encourage more ppl to do TFs, than the amount that currently do. -

The ultimate Debt answer will follow :-
1) More debt received per person, dependent on team size.
solo = 20k, duo = 40k, 3 = 60k and so on...
2) Have 1 Random invention salvage item taken back. Enemies then will get flamed on forums for l33ting.
3) Automatic influence/infamy removed (as payment for anytype of rez), 10% of current value
4) have a 10 minute period after defeat, where only debt can be repaid. During this period no xp can be gained, and this time is based on ingame time not real time.
5) Made to wear a Dunce's hat
6) Team Wipe
i) on Heroic - All players names added to Hall of Shame
ii) Tenacious - 1 extra random invention salvage l33ted
iii) Rugged - 10% influence penalty + 2 salvage items
iv) Unyielding - 10% inf + 5 random items
v) Invincible - Automatic full debt received + 2 recipes l33ted
This may then lead to more teams splitting up, as tensions rise again, but it may just make better players of us all. Or it could just stop suicidal game play.
Controversial I know, but won't happen anyhow??? -

Increased rare drops you say!!! Just go solo in Cimerora, guaranteed at least 1 rare per hour.
[/ QUOTE ]Is that supposed to be a lot?
[/ QUOTE ]I didn't mean that I only get 1 per hr, I was just implying that they seem easier to come by there, than anywhere else at the moment. A coincidence no doubt.
And for anyone that's interested. DA is the best play to farm arcane invention salvage between 24-28, but be warned you may bump into Max there!!! -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, concept, name, costume, bio and build (especially the synergies between both powersets) have to gel together for me to bother making a character these days - if not then I know from experience I wont be able to stick with them through 50 levels. Even then, thats no guarantee Ill enjoy playing them. Ive deleted dozens (maybe hundreds) of characters by L20 that failed that criteria, to save wasting more time on them.
[/ QUOTE ]Like Cynic said too, I can understand planning out a build, but that's something I have never done. I do all the rest you have mentioned Valkryst though, and I generally know by lvl 20, whether I'm gonna keep the alt or not. Deleted both my WS and PB by lvl 17, gave up with my Ill/kin by the same time, as struggled to find teams at weird times of the day, Emp/Arch went the same way....oh how I could go on. The one I stuck with, hoping that it would get better, was my Stone/Stone, which is still struggling to get to 30 after almost 3 years. -
[ QUOTE ]
BUT the lack of incentive to exemplar is a bigger concern really. IMO they should do something tied in with the IO/Salvage system to make exemplaring worthwhile again
[/ QUOTE ]50+ badges not a good enough incentive? Ouroboros helped this out, and it wasn't just a short term fix.
I would happily still use Ouroboros (on my main badger), even after collecting all the badges.

If I was to see a psychologist, I'd probably admit to being a bit embarassed about playing a MMORPG at the age of 35, when most of my friends have families, wine evenings and dinner parties. But then again that's the child in me, that I long to embrace. I am more addicted to CoX, than Alcohol, Drugs (any kind) or Gambling!
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm the same age as you. I've done the whole dinner party thing. I also had a few years... ok, most of a decade... where 90% of my evenings were spent in bars/clubs. It's fun for a while, but it can become a habitual chore, like anything. Don't let the whole social conformity thing get to you. CoH/V can be just as fun and social (if not more so) - as a bonus it doesn't give you a hangover or liver failure eitherI don't feel like I'm missing much.
Though variety is good - I probably spend more evenings playing CoH/V than I should (around that 90% mark I mentioned earlier, heh), but it's cheaper and safer than drinking yourself silly, or many other hobbies I've been into (including sailing, wargaming, shooting, windsurfing and p&p rp’ing). The only drawback I see with MMOs is that the only exercise I get is in my clicking/typing fingers
But here gaming in general has become a lot more socially acceptable than it used to be even 5 years ago, so I don't feel any "shame" about it. MMOs are a lot more social than vegetating in front of a TV all evening (which is what most of my friends with their own families do nowadays - heck, it's what most of my own family do). Nobody even batted an eyelid at a family dinner party recently when my mother's 55ish year old friend pulled out her Nintendo DS and started playing it (my mother wants one now, lol), and my mother has often caught my PC-hating father (who is in his 60s, like her) playing some of my brother's old PC games on their PC. Gaming is here to stay - give it a couple of decades and gaming will be more popular than TV with the masses.
[/ QUOTE ]Agree 100%. I did the clubbing thing in my 20s. After a while it gets boring every week (although I still try and do it occasionally). And I frequently do the dinner party thing (although I hate the name. I just make dinner, people come over, we eat and drink etc and have a laugh). And if there's a Wii about generally it'll turn into a bowling match or round of Mariocart.
Nowadays, since so many of my friends have moved away MMOs (or Friday Night Team Fortress 2 with rum and team speak) is a great way to stay in touch. Much better than vegging out in front of a telly and watching some awful show.
And my mum and my girlfriends mum have also caught the DS bug. Its spreading!
[/ QUOTE ]I should mention the way I play the game could be interpreted as embarassing, as the statistician in me always takes control. Since i9 came out, I have recorded (via pen+paper) exactly how much invention salvage has dropped over all my characters on my 1 account. I could also tell you what badge I earnt, on what character, and when (at least 9 times out of 10 anyway). Not too mention having all the information to hand of what components are needed for what badges. Starting to sound very a.n.a.l. retentive now, so better stop!
[ QUOTE ]
This is with the example I have with my MM. I have "personal attacks", is it a issue to ANYONE if a MM deals damage? You know. To keep himself maybe ALIVE during times when his pets do die? Its rare but I like to attack too. Im not the type of MM that wants to sit in a chair all day drinking coffee while Curly, Larry and Mo do all the work. I want to do SOME damage too. Even if its tiny.
[/ QUOTE ]That is the same way I play my MM's Mechwolfos. I have a Necro/Posion, that has to join in the fight so that debuffs work and to hold foes, so I'm constantly attacking with power like Gloom, Envenom, Weaken, Paralytic Poison and so on... My Thugs/FF comes from the same mould too, often attacking with powers like Pistols and Dual Wield... and I will put Empty Clips into my build too eventually.
In summary, you should basically play the way you want to. If that doesn't fit with the team's ethic, then quit that team, and join another one that will let you express yourself and your abilities, in the manner you wish too. -
You don't know my wife (obviously), as she's not into girly girly things... so she'd smell a rat, and I'd get the ninth degree, until she weedles a long dead secret out of me... then i'll confess to anything to appease her... then she'll lay more guilt on me, until I crack... blah blah... eventually leading to divorce...!! And I don't want that. (As I was writing that, suddenly started thinking about Tarantino's Character in Pulp Fiction... and that is my predictament exactly).
All that waffle, just to say that she likes "our time", when she is around, rather than silly single pursuits.
PS. Sorry to shanghai your thread Xtream. Good luck on Manticore, I'm sure you'll breeze it in double quick time. -

Nice list of events there, something for everyone.
Based on the figures you posted 1.11 billion influence is a lot for one person to earn, let alone give away. Should we call you Farmer 1damz. And if you were fortunate enough to win all 5 influence events (stated as of 3:40pm on the 18/06) on 1 alt, 830 million is one hell of a booty. You'd have purple recipe complete sets, coming out of your ears.
Question - Would the Skulls event be limited to outdoor mobs, or do missions count too? as this would disadvantage casual players completely, as 8 man farm teams could easily get over 1m skulls (or more) in a 24 hr period?
Answer - You can't differentiate between the two, without having the devs alter the game coding for the day. Farmers will prevail on that mission, so that's one that I won't even attempt to start. -

Bah, you and your late working hours. Had you wanted to start at 7pm, then my Tank would have been up for it. Can you take a 1/2 day
