I thought of Cimerora, it would be a better looking place to do a screenshot, but not everyone can get in. You need to do the entry arc, and I think there's still a level 35 minimum level.
Obviously a PVP zone wouldn't work, so that just leaves RWZ. -

Keep in mind if you want to use ultra mode a laptop video card will not be enough. A decent laptop should be fine to run at normal settings, but there are no mobile video cards that will run ultra mode. You may be able to run some Ultra mode options like reflections at low settings, but no shadows or high detail. However, as you've seen, getting a good mobile card will bump the price up to $1000 or more.

Yeah, I don't mind stealthing TFs. The speed runs can be fun too if you're in the right mood. A real speed run can be an adrenaline boost racing from objective to objective a fast as possible.
Sometimes though I'd rather slow down and take my time. Especially if there's someone who hasn't done the TF before. I know for me, it took months before I got to do a proper non speed LGTF. -
Yay, I should be able to make it to this. My parents wanted to be done and headed home by 6PM today anyway.

The team took a vote at the beginning and the majority voted for xp, not speed. The stealthers determined the most direct point to objectives and we fought everything in our way.

Sorry Outlaw I already guessed that date. It looks like all the reasonable, and a bunch of unreasonable dates, have been picked already. Especially with i17 in open beta now.

Not being able to exactly match the custom color combos to the default colors is most likely because many of the powers use many more than 2 colors. Since we're limited to only 2 colors for customization, then if there are any other colors in there (electricity probably has some blue, white, indigo/purple, etc all mixed in there, and red, white, black, etc for the red side) won't be able to mix exactly.

I think BaB mentioned soon after i16 came out that we can't copy the default colours using custom colours, not exactly. The best we can do is get close, probably closer with some powers than others. Something about the colour palettes working differently or something. I have no idea where that post would be though.

Hmm, I don't have any free slots so I can't make a new character, or I'd try to join. If I do free up a slot I might be there.
I'll try to show up as a spectator at least, since I missed this last year.
Also, regarding the alternative travel powers, none of those are available at level 1 anyway. I think the only alternative to sprint at that level is for someone else to SB you or something. -

EDIT: By the way, it doesn't just have to be Maelstrom - Manticore, Foreshadow or Synapse would also be quite acceptable alternatives
