Scrappers get really pants figures for assault/tactics, and he already has FA for +tohit and +perc. FA by itself will let you see any AT but Stalkers in PvP, and good Stalkers won't be seen with (FA + Tactics) anyway.

You mean, is there more to PvP than fighting Stalkers? Interesting
P.S.: Well, in my case I should say " Is there more to PvP than being faceplanted by Stalkers?" -
Thx mate, I'll send you a tell on Friday then
-
Mael, did you choose stealth to allocate a couple LotG? If it is for the stealth effect, wouldn't be better a stealth IO in sprint and instead of Stealth to go for Maneuvers for the LoTG. As you choose 2 travel powers, it makes me think you also use this build PvP and probably Maneuvers (or Assault) and Tactics would be better than let's say Stealth and Revive maybe.
Please note I don't know much about regen and absolutely nothing about PvP (besides faceplanting galore) and I am asking to improve my knowledge at your expense -
I wish I could, but unless I win the lottery I will be at work at that time.
Good luck with it though -
For getting used to IO sets and their bonuses, I'd recommend you to get familiarized with them at paragonwiki.com
Also you can find the Official introduction to them here:
Clicky
Bear in mind a few things:
- Set Bonuses can be used to maximize your toon strengths and/or to compensate deficiencies, so you'd better know in advance what are you looking for in your toon.
- It is usually not a good idea to concentrate in the bonuses a single set in a single power grants, you need to see the whole picture, I mean, you may give up some accuracy in your attacks by slotting a determined set but have it compensated by slotting another set in your defenses (this is just an example)
- Download Mid's Hero Designer, will provide you with stats and percenteages in an easy and useful way Clicky
I ahve posted a few builds to maximize the positional defenses above the soft cap here in the scrappers section. They are for DM/SR acrappers, but you might get some ideas there (even if it's how NOT to do an /SR build for you, would be an idea anyway)
Such general advice is not that easy, if you get a little familiarised with IO sets in paragonwiki.com and try a few builds in the designer, you'll get a good idea of what is it about and will be much easier to offer advice if we know what is what you're looking for.-
Anyway, feel free to PM any time for more focused advice or send me a tell in game @Nightmarer, I am afraid my English is not good enough for such general advice but I've done a bit of research for bonuses, specially for /SR in my DM/SR and Katana for my Kat/Inv -
If you guys don't mind, I'd rather stick for a few weeks to Tuesday and Thursday only since I am 3 -4 enhancements away to finish my dreamed build for Nightmarer and I'll need a lot of farming, plus also I would like to advance in the Vanguard arcs with my toons that are in range for it. If you team more days and I get behind on lvls, I hope you won't mind sidekicking the moustache man.-

Tbh I don't dislike the idea of defense on a /regen build, lots of regens with both quick recovery and stamina see their endurance bar drained to zero with just 1 hit from a sapper or a dark ring mistress (although dark ring mistresses are half naked and they can be forgiven).
I agree more recharge would do good, but if you are allocating LotG imo should do, I don't have Hasten on my Kat/Inv and it is ok for PvE.
I'd still take Focused Accuracy, probably instead of Conserve power which strikes to me redundant on a /regen. FA with 3 Cytoskeleton exposures works fine.
Not sure how helpful the whole Steadfast Protection Set is on Resilience, I'd probably go for just 2 slots, one with the 3% defense from Steadfast and for the other slot I'd use the Status resistance from Impervious Skin or the psi resistance from Impervium Armour, then I'd allocate the extra slot we liberated here on Tough and go for a full Aegis set in Tough. Bear in mind that your 9.25% psi defense is useless because the positional defenses will override it, hence some psi resistance won't hurt, may give you a couple seconds to activate your heals.-
As soon as I get home I'll check the new link, I can't do it at work.-

This link is pure genius. Man, it is the biggest laugh I had in quite a while. -
Lol they were selling for 6 mill last night.-

Agent Magnum's summer cossie
And of course now we are uber and stuff -
Lol, I didn't mean his outside AFK as a cricisism, it just striked me weird he missed his own mish. Of course I didn't know he was a spaniard, otherwise I would had crictisized him hard, which is exactly what ALL spaniards deserve for having such a lousy football national team who never wins anything
Edit: On a serious note, I am sorry I didn't realize of it. Being a spaniard myself (and I am afraid our national football team is still lousy btw) I could have helped him with translations.- -
I soon changed my bind, instead of "$target is my anchor please kill him last" to "Come on, $target is my anchor and is still alive, kill him!!! NOW!!!" and soon after I just went for the "HEEL DA HEAL0RZ!!" one.-
Now you guys have given me new ideas, thx
-
Well, I remember we had two tanks when I joined the team, one of them was AFK for all the Nocturne mish (which was his mish btw) and part of the Fusionette one, and the other one, I didn't check his build, but assuming he had all the defensive powers he should have, his slotting must have been very poor because his health bar was dropping to red immediately on alpha. Obsidian Sabre being sidekicked was taking far more damage than that tank.-
Of course, I am not intending to start a flame war or anything like that, but in my opinion, a tank without taunt is an overfed scrapper with a pillow as main weapon.- -

Non-healing bubblers, tricksters and stormers often have a hard time to find teams, especially in low levels in the Hollows.

Man, we need to do a regular Defiant team. My Earth/Storm is itching to get out and see more of Paragon and I don't know for how much longer I'll be able to hold him.- -
Ah well, as it seems nobody wants in, I'd better try join a PuG or something.-
-
Lol thx
It is the off-duty cossie. When Nocturne handed our behinds back, things got serious and I had to use the the regular outfit to show her I wasn't kidding anymore.- -
Oh thx.
Lol I even posted in that thread -
Heya,
I have read in some threads and also have heard some people mentioning things along the lines of:
5% defense is equivalent to 10% dmgres
I am not sure I can follow that, I mean, is there any kind of formula to it or is it more a concept thing?
I am sorry, I just can't relate defense and dmg resistance that way.
Any help please? -
Sure, count me in, I'll log around 7 to 7:15
-
Mmmm, makes sense since soloing I shouldn't be anyway facing huge mobs where to take full benefit of DA and in teams, besides confined spaces, can be used as a panic button or to remove aggro from squishies.-
Thx -
I like the build, the only things I would touch myself, besides DSorrow's comments (except I wouldn't change to Crushing Impact on a /SR since the other sets will maximize your positional defense, which I take it is what you are looking for) would be to remove the Luck of the Gambler Def/Enrdx from Agile, Dodge and Lucky, it is more expensive than the def/rchg and you won't notice the 0.2% defense you will lose. I'd put these 3 enhancements on Tough. I'd also scratch another one from Fly and put it also in Tough, so you can slot it with the Steadfast 3% def plus 5 Aegis that will give you extra 3.13% AoE defense so you can raise it to almost 41%
You will be missing the acc bonus by removing the 4th LotG, but I think with FA, the inherent 10% from MA, and the rest of acc bonuses you have should be enough.-
It would also be a good idea to tick the box to export set bonuses breakdown, so you can easily identify if a bonus is being wasted by having stacked it more than 5 times.- -
Heya,
This is a question arisen after reading another thread but I didn't want to ask it there to avoid topic drifting.
I have a Claws/DA which is extremely fun scrapper, he's at the point where I have to start thinking carefully about the higher attacks, and I am not sure shockwave with its KB component is that advisable on a DA. Should it be taken to be normal part of the attack chain or should it be used as a "Panic" button to clear aggro? Should it be taken at all?
Any thoughts on this please? -

Lol, same here, when I get my defender or my troller after an exhaustive scrapping session such as STF or LGTF, I find myself in the middle of the melee brawling foes and wondering why does it feel like hitting them with a pillow.-
