Hehe something might be lost in translation here, lickle is english slang for little, Hornet would never lick old ladies...unless they were covered in vodka of course
-
Quote:He will always protect the innocent, fight for justice, rescue cats from trees and help lickle old ladies across the road. But share his vodka.....NEVER!!!!Night Hornet will never be a proper role model for our nation's youth until he learns to share his vodka!
Great picture! -
A friend of a friend drew this for me, this is a scaled down version as in fact it's actually a huge file A2 in size, very happy with the outcome so thought I'd post it for some feedback.

Hi, although I have inflicted my comic a few times on the EU boards, I have not posted it here before. What started as a bit of fun has developed in a long running story with it's own lore and continuity, I'm currently just finishing up issue 14....yup 14. I like to try and produce these things in a kinda silver-age Marvel style and over time my photoshop skills have increased as a result of this, I've just joined up with those nice people in the City of Comic Creators. Anyway the comic....

I miss the EU events to give us a chance for goodies like this.

I think it's great news, one of the reasons that AE teams are so easy to get is the auto sk feature, this looks like a re-worked version of that. Hopefully it will help players to easily find teams anywhere and encourage people out into the city zones again. This could be the most significant part of i16 IMO.

Hi Fury and welcome to the boards, heroside GGRRR is recruiting. See the links in my sig for more details.

Hmmm I read this thread and thought hard about whether I should post this, as this is an emotive subject, however since I detest prejudice in any form....
The reality is in any community there will always be some level of bigotry, for example whilst the SG Im in consists of members of every sexual preference all good players and good friends, there was recently an incident relating to this thread.
Firstly our SG welcomes any players regardless of race, religion, age or sexual determination as these bares no relation at all to the gamer or person. The SG usually runs with a very positive attitude with everyone respecting each other, in truth we have very few rules as it should be about having fun.
On this occasion a member went a bit crazy on the SG channel (I dont know for sure, but I suspect this was due to finding out a member is [censored]) and started saying things about "corrupting people" and other stuff that I couldnt possibly repeat here, indeed he inferred that men playing a superhero game running around in tights was a little abnormal. Ironic really, as if he felt like that why is he playing the game and it is only a GAME. In slight fairness the guy was a bit drunk and after some lengthy chats hes now left the SG by mutual consent, but I have to say I was shocked that this kind of behaviour still exists in this day and age. Thankfully I was offline at the time it happened otherwise my usual cool calm exterior might have been challenged.
When I first starting playing coh I teamed up with a player, he was my first global friend and hes still my best mate in-game now. Hes [censored] and Im straight what does that say about him or me? Nothing, we are simply two friends playing a MMO!!!
My point is that MMOs can have a diverse playerbase and therefore a wide variety of views and ideas, so peoples views cant always be expected to match your own no matter how righteous you may feel there are just like RL. However in a game enviroment you would expect there to be accepted levels of behaviour, again just like RL.
Just to make an bad analogy, I have a toon called Lobster-Man, I made him look like a lobster, I do get some nice tells saying great cossie, however I cant go anywhere without players ribbing me all the time saying things like pass the butter, wheres the boiling water, ooo thermidor etc. Now Im not a lobster so I dont take offence and of course I realise its just a laugh, which Im happy to join in with, it's a comedy toon after all. But I wonder if I were to have the name of a g-a-y supergroup on my toon would the micky taking be so constant and so harmless or appropriate??
Back on topic. Would a G-A-Y supergroup be a good idea? Id think not as this would no doubt cause a stir for some people and no doubt some petitions as a result, but as others have said a Straight SG is a bad idea, or perhaps any other sg the excludes people on these type of grounds. -

Just like to say thanks to Kendai for organising this and apologies I didn't get all the people together in time. It's been fun and I now have all the vanguard merits, I could wish for

thing is though what if the colour change for powers isnt slot based like it is for auras? what if its one colour choice per character.
just dont want to set myself up for a fall and hope for things that may not happen, just like im sure my plans for a Villain Warshade will be dashed.

Never fear!
The official i16 overview states:
it also allows you to select your colors and theme for each individual power or apply it to the entire powerset. These themes will allow for color tinting of geometry and particle effects such as energy blast colors and force field colors. The primary and secondary colors of any power effect can be changed individually for each power in the set.
[/ QUOTE ]
That didn't address Spider's fears at all.
As I read it: Spider fears that your power colour choices will be set for the character regardless of costume slot (so a character with multiple costumes has got to have the same power colours for each - you cannot have one costume with pink blasts and another with yellow).
You tried to answer this by showing that powers can be coloured individually. That has no bearing upon whether the colours picked are for the character (regardless of costume) or linked to an individual costume slot.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep you're right, I didn't read it carefully enough, in which case i have no idea. -

I'm assuming the new difficulty settings don't affect MA missions, from the way people are talking about them?
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't think that has been confirmed yet, only assumed -

Sadly this game stopped getting new players in any great numbers some years ago, so that makes your theory redundant.
Perhaps they should think about keeping what they have, because lets have it right, if someone is going to start playing a super hero game, which are they going to choose, a 5 year old new game, or a new new game.
There's a big picture for you.
Anyway if you like i16, i think thats great, me i'd rather have had something new to do.
Horses for courses and all that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Although Im desperate for new content, I'm not sure I agree with you, sure players will be attracted a shiny new game but whether they stay there or not is a bigger question. Don't forgot although it's old coh has 5 years of content and updates behind it. It's possible coh could benefit from having a rival, players who have never tried a superhero mmo may try it and give coh a try too, at the very least it could give more publicity to superhero mmo's.
I'd be very surprised if i16 had much story content in it as I presume that GR will provide that in spades, but i16 seems to be effort to combat the shininess and therefore is no bad thing and maybe the sensible way to go currently.
Besides have you seen the signature heroes and villians in a certain other upcoming mmo.....yyyyyaaaaawwwwwnnnn -

Got the rubberbanding as well. Just logged out as it's virtually unplayable at the moment.
[/ QUOTE ]
It was the same for me last night, I was only in a 4 man team doing radio missions, the rubberbanding was the worse I've seen in-game. -
We don't know the full details yet, but am I the only one that thinks this could be a balanced solution?
MA created new levels of PLing which changed the game and to completely remove that kind of opportunity would upset some players. This change will stop fill requests while still giving ample opportunity for experienced players to progress quickly, it could actually hamper new players PLing, thus meaning that non-farmers will be happier with PLing perhaps being less visible. It could mean that MA will become a creative tool which was it's original idea.
The market argument is a moot point as I'm sure it will have an effect (maybe good?), but inf is easy to earn anyway. -
