Well, like someone from AA told me last night, we'll tag up in the TPvPL tonight and next week and...who knows, your group may pick up some of our players.

It is indeed the best guide Serps has ever written, outclassing his Plant/Thorns guide by far.

One thing though, I think they changed player pets to not react as enemies when someone is Confused...so that trick might not work.

I have an old half-SOd Nin/Nin and he's very fun to play...there's usually a wake of dead bodies in any mission he's in, half of those being my party as they die from my over-aggroed mobs.

I'll have to re-read this after a few drinks to see if it gets funnier.

Eeeh I wouldn't go that far Tripp, but one of my wishes always was that there would be events, precipipated by the Developers, that would affect the markets.

For example, crashes due to sudden availability of items, either ingame or out, or to events. Maybe an increase in some of the Pool C drops lamented by many as being too rare.

Anything that shakes me, as an occasional marketeer, out of my comfort bubble is a good thing.

Remember folks:

Everything ingame is property of NCSoft and you are renting it from them. No room to complain if ingame items lose or gain worth at any point, it's their items.

I wouldn't worry too much. There are always impatient people that will pay 10s of millions for Respec recipes. Now, myself, I won't be anymore because $9.99 real cash >>>>>>>> a bunch of ingame influence for ease of availability.

Excellent diversionary tactic except:

-No one will miss any forum trolls, posters will just go back to playing/life occupations/posting. If more trolls pipe up, the banstick will come down on them too. If the mods decide this is it, trolls can't win, period.

-This isn't "America", it's an MMO with a Staff enforcing the rules. We're posting here at THEIR leisure. We aren't entitled to post here anymore we are entitled to our ingame loot, it's their stuff they lend to us.

The 'seven words' are likely a no-no. Best to just use standard fare and not incite anything.

In your example, Bill, I suspect the mods would let that slide.
If more people try to subvert the filters that too may find its way into the 'naughty bin'.

First this is great news.

The forums had become anarchic of late with the snowflake posts about nerfs and the lulzy trolling as well, glad to see the mod-nukes are being armed.

I do have one question though:

Whenver I report an exploit (and boy have I in the past two months) the canned response tells me to discuss the issue on the forums.

If I find X produces an insanely quick reward thanks to an exploit, do I continue using the Petition feature and alerting Posi/Castle or do I mention it here and risk the banstick and the collapse of the gaming infrastructure?

Two issues:

The "Don't be a tool" factor, very very important. Was on a MoSTF run on a Storm Defender that had previously completed it...kept being told what toggles to use, that I was ruining the run for people, etc...you need a certain amount of trust in your teammates' abilities, while having directed focus.

The flattery thing is key...when we're doing a longer task force I always ask "Is everyone having fun?" "Thanks for the great buffs" "You're clearing that whole map yourself!" Basic psychology, people like to feel validated.

I am very glad ot hear this...I have new friends joining but they are hesistant to do so when they have to buy two games.

I know a lot of people that stopped playing because they didn't want to shell out more money to access bases.

I love hearing this, the only thing that could make this better is if we could access content for both games somehow...perhaps through the Ouroboros system
