Quote:While I'd love to take credit for this, it's actually a weird thing that some kooky people call "supply and demand".In a logical world, that would be true. However, the Marketeers that are creating the same manipulations in the market today (1,000,000 common salvage, for example).....
Quote:Like I've said earlier, I don't tend toward playing the market mini-game. -

Quote:Yes indeed!Normally, I don't do this, but I'm going to make an exception.
I've won a great many fights over the years in this game. This one is particularly sweet. All of us who've been fighting for this should rejoice. But I'm going one further. I'm going to be on the lookout for these imagined "negative consequences" we've been told about for three years. I doubt I'll find them, and if I don't I'm going to post the biggest "I told you so." I ever have!
This makes tilting at windmills in all those endless dead-horse beating merger threads worth it!

geez, now I gotta update my sig... -

WOW.
TY devs for putting the interests of the game ahead of RP ideology. -
It's odd, just this morning I was driving to work thinking about making a new fire/ice themed character named Hell Frozen Over.
Nostragoatus!
Also, massive props to the devs for putting the interests of their players ahead of silly RP ideology. -

if you're happy with your vid card you can do what I did a few years back, pick up a mid-level Inspirion from Dell and swap in the bits you want to keep from your old machine. They always have sales going so finding a solid machine for 600 or so shouldn't be hard.
that's the lazy person's approach, I'm sure you could hit a better price/performance ratio using a DIY approach. -

it's hilarious how many people in this thread (and the other booster threads) think texturing and animating new costume pieces is some sort of casual process that can be tossed off in a few days and that the creatives should be giving us twice as much stuff for our massive capital investment of...ten bucks. And when they do add something extra they get no credit because it's a "cynical marketing ploy". And anyway, we should get it all FREE because back in the good old days we got everything FREE.

more boosters = more profit = more employees = more content
-
step 1: set for +0/x8
step 2: find a map you like full of enemies you like
step 3: cap your tickets (takes my ar/dev blaster 20-30 minutes, the Goat somewhat less).
step 4: roll them all Bronze level 35-39
step 5: delete the garbage & craft the 'good' ones for huge profits, I've never made less than 50 million on a run. -
Quote:It is comparable to the other origin packs.Seems like the complaints keep rolling. I don't mind what I see in this pack. My issue is we are getting so little in it. It is poor value for the $10 we fork out.
You may not find it as appealing as some of the others for whatever reason, but two costume sets, a new technology in bioluminescnese, a handful of emotes and a power is on par with the 'content' delivered by the other sets.
On my part I've flipped from 'not buying' to 'definitely buying'.
I hopped on the test server last night and messed around with the Goat.
In the parlance of the fashion world, the sets "look good on". Specifically for the Goat, the organic horns fit my vision MUCH better than the kludge solution of Dreadlocks + Horns he's been using his whole career.
And the Bio pattern looks fantastic on his thin monsterous legs. I would've liked some alternate hooves, but oh well.
Of course this just fuels the "it's a DEMON PACK not a mutant pack!" fires...but i'm sure my ten bucks will sooth the devs hurt feelings. =P -
Quote:I note some overlap with my own, although I admit I didn't put as much thought into it as Fury, I just checked prices on the stacks and stacks of recipes I get in MA. Not being a complete idiot, I spotted some cheap, widely available recipes that brought in good loot crafted. My list of "solid mid-list sellers" has no overlap with yours. Huh.
and I second Swell's stand that while I'm generally too lazy to do this sort of thing myself I always greatly enjoy viewing the results of other folks' efforts. -
if I were to whine about being "locked out" of leveling because I preferred spending my time at the market farming inf to defeating enemies for exp, I would rightly be ridiculed.
-
If they'd called it ANIMAL PACK or FURRY PACK and there were no animal bits the complaints would be understandable.
I'm personally a bit underwhelmed, but 'mutant' by definition encompasses a limitless range of possibilities and a given release has only so much room. The had to pick a direction and whatever direction they chose was guaranteed to enrage/alienate/disappoint somebody. -

Quote:a well built farming character shouldn't need anyone else on the map.Not exactly what he's asking for, Sam. He's wanting a glowie on every mission that must be clicked by the leader to finish the mission. His sole concern is protecting his farming missions from someone (accidentally or on purpose) actually finishing the mission as intended.

Quote:Anecdotal evidence is fine when used to illuminate an obvious reality.I don't see how that proves anything or is otherwise relevant to this topic. Forming a team randomly to do a TF once is hardly definite proof of the state of the game and/or playerbase preference.
fire/kins are essentially their own AT while ar/devs and fire/fires are at extinction levels.
Why do you think that is? -
