Was lucky enough to stand near him at an apple expo with my father (a high ranking Apple employee) and I'm very sad to see him pass. Whether or not the numerous Apple-haters of the world want to admit it Jobs did a grand part in changing the world as we know it. My thoughts are with his wife and children, especially his oldest son.

I had the fortune of being in this man's presence at an Apple expo (my father's one of Apple's top system engineers) and I'm very sad to see him leave this world. While he was a shrewd, stony businessman he was a brilliant inventor, innovator and orator with an uplifting aura that both amazed and bewildered those around him.
RIP, Mr. Jobs. -
The answer to the OP's question is "yes."

Man, what's with all the Kinetic Melee hate? The set is blazingly fast (don't you give me that 'it's too sloooooow' garbage, it's been proven wrong before several times and I'll post a damn video if you don't believe me) and hits like a truck on every AT but Tanker.
-
Quote:Because that'd turn the power into a near-clone of Pendulum/Crowd Control, and the set would be imbalanced. The set is fine, and your demands are unreasonable. There is NO reason though either the range of sweep cant be made 10' or the arc 90% and the cap raised to 10.
Edit: Also who the heck in this game has an arm that big? Not even Huge models at max height have limbs that gargantuan. -
Argument invalid, EM is a terrible melee set with one AOE, a useless control power and three too-long-animating attacks. It can't be compared to StJ; that'd be like comparing a typewriter with a netbook. Yes, they do the same thing but one is vastly superior.
-
Weren't you the same guy who said Redside needed 'fixing' a few months ago after posting the same thing a year prior to that?
Also, StJ is a freaking blast and I've never leveled a Brute so quickly in my life. -
Quote:"You have beautiful eyes..."I think Crosscut from the Dr. Graves arc is completely insane. He is a cross between Deadpool and Freddy Kruger. Every time he speaks, I want to hide my children. Whoever wrote the dialogue for this character should get a raise.
Um, thanks?
"Can I have them?"
Over my dead body.
"Oh, you're so kind..."

Thread title is the very first thing I thought of when I saw this.
To dispel any anger: This is a music video. An awesome one that made me think of City of Heroes. -

Quote:90% of the time if Redside doesn't yield a team (which it almost never does) I put a note in VLFG Beta that I'm going to be running papers/Arc X in Zone X and if anyone wanted to come along to PST.Not to mention telling those who offered valuable advice, "Die in a Car Fire" (DIACF). That's uncalled for.
Edit: But being willing to form teams is the best advice you can receive. It's not something that comes naturally to anyone; I had a hard time getting myself to lead trials in case something went wrong. But if you want the rewards enough you can push yourself until it's casual and even fun to form and manage teams. It's worth trying and pushing through the initial anxiety. -
Wow. I've never seen someone ragequit the forums. (Check Witch's sig.)

Quote:Just rename her. Seriously, don't give that toon up.Wha? Street Justice is here?
Awesome. I have the perfect character to reroll for Street Justice- it fits Shandora Ward's concept so much more than Martial Arts.
... but she's my badged-out character...
... and has had a 4 billion inf IO makeover...
... and the only one I have that has all Incarnate slots unlocked and T3'd...
... and she's the one with the coveted "badge hunter" badge.

I hate Street Justice. -
Quote:I won't disagree. It's why I'm taking Spring Attack, to hopefully add some more AoE presence to a 90% single target build. That's great but it doesn't really prove anything. High level team, solo/few-target (i.e., AV) tanking != low-mid level team, large-crowd tanking. What I'm suggesting is that your powerset combo looks like it can probably solo/few-target tank adequately, but evidently is less effective at large-crowd tanking with no damage aura or AE attacks in its arsenal. A taunt aura like Evasion is all well and good but without sufficient attacks to build threat it's just sitting there.

I don't have enough points and I promise I'll be patient and wait for them to accumulate.

Maybe I'll listen to myself this time around. -
Quote:doesn't matter will buy anywaySo, why do VIP players have to purchase this? Granted I know we can purchase it with our free points, but I think this model is awful. If a power doesn't come with an expansion (like KM with GR), then VIP players should have access to it without all this Paragon Market song and dance.

Quote:I really don't know how you can take anything else away from it. Your name's there, the Katana Brute's name is there, the enemy group and powersets for my character match. I didn't doctor it other than pulling out a troll fight in Help Channel. You posted a giant blurb from the entire missiong and claimed in that instance you were tanking while the team was dying?
Quote:No I wont lay the entire blame for the team dying right there at your, feet, we were getting a little overwhelmed. However I will say you were definitely part of the problem.
A) I didnt say it excused being rude. B) I didnt say no RP, simply that RPing while the team is dying is A BAD IDEA. C) I did ask for the Pumicite swarms, and we handled it well. The team didnt wipe it came close. I kicked you because I don't let useless players sit on my team and soak experience while everyone else is busy actually playing.
Quote:You're the one who brought this pointless drama on the forums. If you don't like how I play please one star me, gignore me and move on.
Quote:Even more shocking after you were so polite in-game when I was PuGing the other day and you sent me a tell back saying you were the same tank.
Little addition here:
Quote:10-01-2011 13:16:54 [Team] Intactilis: <color #010101><bgcolor #b69557>((AAAAND I'm softcapped))
10-01-2011 13:15:15 [Team] Intactilis: <color #010101><bgcolor #b69557>((42% defense once Storm Kick lands.))

Quote:That I can agree with and I appreciate the kinder words, but you have to understand something: When your first team chat regarding me is "this tanker is ******* annoying the **** out of me" followed shortly by your team leader being a jerk for no reason at all my reaction is not going to be a good one. I was playing the way I've always played and I was enjoying myself. I really was. I was having a damn good time wading through rock monsters and I still don't know where all the hate bubbled up from. Was I RPing? Yes. Did I mention my defense numbers?
Honestly, like someone mentioned earlier, slight misunderstandings in tone could have started it all. I don't think this tank is a bad guy. I think it's a personality clash and thats all there is to it. *shrug*
TWICE.
TWICE I mentioned them, thank you.
Rather than being rude you could have ACTUALLY asked me to refrain from talking too much and keep up the fight. I get asked to tone it down a LOT outside of the game, so I'm no stranger. "wtb something to hold aggro" and "this tanker is ******* annoying the **** out of me" and "you'd tell a joke but it wouldn't be funny" don't convey any of your wishes for me to RP less and tank more. It just makes you out to be rude.
